    So you have to manually start recording no matter what? It doesn't just record on movement and loop when the SD card is full? Seems odd if I wanted to watch a recording when I got home but nothing was recorded because it's all manual.

    Great Video. I also have a video about that cam. Can't wait to see your Node-RED integration. Also I never think about leaking data until now ...

      It's good to bear it in mind. Especially when you store data in cloud. If I ever considered camera pointing inwards I would use local NVR rather than cloud because of privacy concerns

    Great video. Is it possible to watch stream from different network while camera is connected to the home's network (behind the CGNAT)? Or do you have to set some sort of DDNS, external server...? Also, can I have sdcard storage + live stream and detection mode at the same time?

      You will need to forward ports to get past the firewall. But yes once you do this you can access the RTSP

    Can you confirm this camera(or app) has push notification to mobile phone once someone is detected ?? I don't see you demo or mention this function (A Selling Point in commercial of this camera)

    • @notenoughtech
      @notenoughtech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it comes with push notifications to your phone via app

      @@notenoughtech Thanks for you reply. I'm going to use this camera to watching my garage, where my car and motorbikes are parked. I think this push notification to mobile phone once someone is detected a very handy function to have.

      That's definitely a good idea.

    So does the Sonoff Camera actually support "patrolling" (automatic panning), as claimed in the marketing materials?
    I don't see a way to enable this from the app.

    • @notenoughtech
      @notenoughtech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not in the app alone... perhaps via RTSP ?

    Hello, is it possible to make a scene in Ewelink with the camera ? Exemple : when the open door detector is activate, the camera turn on the record ? Thanks :)

    • @notenoughtech

      That's actually a great idea. I'll check it out

      Just tested it. No controls via the node I used. No reporting back. I can see the device on the list but no interaction

    Do you know of any wifi onvif cameras that can be Configured without an app ?

    • @notenoughtech
      @notenoughtech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can link this one via LAN without setup but you need the app for RTSP 🤷🏼‍♂️ otherwise you don't get to the stream

      www.instructables.com/Sonoff-Camera-ONVIF-HACK/
      You can disable the cloud in the web interface of the hack, use 3rd party NVR hardware or software. You can even write your own python NVR

    Hey i have one of these cameras and have it set up to detect motion and save it locally, but cant seem to view the motion it detected without removing the SD card and plugging into the PC. Am i doing something wrong or is that the only way to view motion detected footage? Good video btw keep up the good work.

    • @notenoughtech
      @notenoughtech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try formatting the card. Set up the motion detection and save to local storage. Bear in mind it took some time for the footage to be saved to storage. (give a couple of minutes to see the files) you can look up the videos via explorer in the app

      NotEnoughTECH ye just seemed to have to wait a while for them to pop up. Was also recording continuously 10minute videos. So turned that off cheers for your help.

    Does this cam support onvif standard?

    • @notenoughtech
      @notenoughtech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      RTSP ... If you can work with that then yes. The ONVIF standard isn't specified

    I've been using this cam for about a year now. It's not worth the money. I've encountered many issues including night vision 24/7. Bad image quality at certain point of movement etc. Wouldn't buy again
