The guy bending the metal (Oscar I assume) is a genius when it comes to remembering each and every bend. Even all the while he is getting teased by his coworker. The work looks outstanding.
First advice dont go Union!!! Do the work because your good at your craft and you enjoy it! dont become a Overpaid Lazy Cry Baby! that all union workers are Lazy Over paid Whiny Jerk offs who do half ass'd work and think they deserve 35 dollars an hour to do a simple job and if they dont get their way they go on strike! Dont Be That Guy!!!
Live better. Work union. This curb is going to leak like a sieve though. Hopefully someone is coming to flash it later. Should be made out of 16-18 gauge and welded IMO.
I'll give those guys a run for there money I make curb adapters which is way harder that a regular curb 18 and 16 gauge for 5 ton unit to a 15 ton units I weld them with tig silicon bronze not screws.. form El Paso tx baby chuco town but I'm just talking shit guys good job fellas good video...

What gauge of metal do you use for curbs?
I'm 24 years old and currently looking for some stable work. How do I get involved in the sheet metal union? I live in Kansas City

It all looks so complicated to me. I'm sure it's not as difficult as it looks right? I start my apprenticeship in June
Nice curb build, the flexible gas line in front of the gas exhaust Not so Much
machone1757 , could be a CA earthquake thing. Out in the north east, I've never seen a unit like that roof mounted
The gas line in path of hot exhaust is my issue- I get the flex for movement
It’s a California thing. Passes every time
