@bogboyburger2592 Don’t forget that Uraume went and captured, then blended, a massive amount of curses into a horrid slurry for Sukuna to take a bath in as a way to further overpower Megumi's soul. That definitely contributed to him managing to cling to Megumi so long, made it harder for Yuji to separate them.

My problem was that yuji was completely unorginal in every ability he had. In yujis domain we seen all these things like the statue which i thouhgt would be similar to his domain ability only for yuji to have sukunas domain ability except soul slashes. Yuji doesnt have an original ct, his ct is choso ct and sukunas ct. Along with yuji gaining most of his a
Strength from death paintings and soul and soul swapping segment along with the consecutive black flashes. Yuji may be the most gifted shonen character i have seen in a while. The thing that made me a bit mad was that when yuji opened his domain then gege told everyone that there was only 5 chapters left, so we only see yuji open his domain one time throughout 268 chapters.

Since the weird introduction of the sumo and Katana guy and then looking how Yuki was handled or whatever Yorozu was, the writings were on the wall for this series. I’ve never lost any kind of sympathy towards even the main cast as much as I did with JJK. Except for like 4 characters at best, everyone else is writtten so shallow. I honestly don’t care for the ending as, in my opinion the series can’t end well because of the horrible decisions Gege made over the course of the story. And no, that doesn’t include Gojo as I got everything I wanted from his character.

The only thing that has me pissed off is that we never got to see yuji’s sure hit effect in his domain. Especially with his confidence when he said he could kill sukuna right then and there
i thought we saw it last chapter, after nobara's resonance hit and sukuna was forced to drop hollow wicker basket we saw yuji hit a dismantle. i assumed that was through sure hit effect. and then in this chapter we see yuji's domain collapse as he knocks sukuna out of megumi. idk that's just how i interpreted the sure hit effect working

I think its weird that Sukuna got killed off and we never learned about his past or see more of his Heian era version. His death felt lackluster. Also it definitely took heavy inspiration from Parayste.

Its not about Gojo, its about alot of great characters and storylines being introduced that ends up leading to nothing. JJK had a potential to being one of the greatest animes ever but ended up being quite bad.
Nah jjk is only popular because characters looking cool while fighting beyond that there's nothing good with jjk. So if people just want to seek action fighting while looking cool but not good plot this is correct manga.

People that are mad that Megumi wasn't tweaking out about the fact that Gojo killed Toji must've not read the manga with their eyes. Megumi as a kid didn't care about his father, why would he up and suddently start caring now that he's a teenager/young adult? Literally makes no sense, people just want their little fan service like those fan mangas of for example "Goku meets Bardock"
And as for the fight ending, the only thing I'm kinda iffy about is that Sukuna was reduced to a blob, I think it could've been way more interesting art-wise seeing sukuna reacting to Yuji showing pity after all of that, and then slowly deteriorating, that would've kept the Sukuna stans from crying, but I do understand making Sukuna, this all powerful demon curse being look harmless after all he's done and committed, showing the readers that the fight is really over and not just a big sike i gotcha

@@KarmaAnims Would've been way more impactful if Sukuna ended himself instead. Went out on his own terms at the very end. Like Yuji's grandpa. Not only would it keep his character intact but it'd show he truly was a curse up to the end, not even fearing death. It would've also been one last playful middle finger to Yuji after his display of pity and empathy towards him. Could've also been another example to Yuji of a "perfect death". With "a perfect death" being one without any regret. Now that I think of it, that'd be a great end to Yuji's development. He's been searching for a perfect death the entire manga and in this last domain he admitted that he still didn't really know what satisfied a "perfect death". Could've been a neat full circle.

Honestly, I think it is fitting. As you said Sukuna was built up to be all that and to be honest he knew that he thought that he was a god and no one could beat him. However, after every card he pulled and every comeback he made it was when the trio all worked together in unison that Sukuna met his end it wasn't just one really powerful person trying to gain the glory of killing the King of Curses it was a group of passionate fighters who did it for nothing else than to end innocent people's suffering.

Unfortunately this is case for most weekly shonnen’s, due to the fact that the publisher has incentive to cut short an unpopular series( thus bad ending) or prolong a popular series to a point where the author is fatigued(which also contributes to bad ending, and it looks this is the case for JJK). Very rarely do the author has the choice to end on his own term.
Honestly I hope OP's ending is finding out the One Piece isn't real, or it's just a huge prank by Gol D. Roger in that all the treasures he collected were his turds, or that the One Piece was really the friends we made along the way 😂. Some bs like that. I really hope I'm right 🤣.

Sukuna: 0 master plan, no goals or motivations outside of being reborn to be the strongest. No grand scheme outside of taking Megumi's body. Ended like pathetic blob who can barely speak coherently and it's gonna be imprisioned for the entirety of Yuji's human like. At the time Yuji dies, so will he. At least this is what is suggested.
Sukuna really was sn overrated/overglazed by the snime community and he ended up being a low tier at best.

Not exactly. Sukuna was never shown to fight at capacity. He held back against Gojo and then he was reduced to less than half his power against everyone else. If anything, it shows they barely defeated him. even with continuous planning.

So the climax, after 50 something chapters of fighting, is just...him getting punched a lot, Megumi suddenly deciding "hey I'm suddenly not a broken mess anymore", Nobara waking up and 30 minutes after deciding "I now fully understand the situation and have processed everything after waking up from a near death coma for months" comes in and hits the last finger...all before Sukuna just turns to...sludge.
Nothing seems to have happened with the merger, something that was alluded to for most of the series was just turned to smoke and instead of a calamity of suspense that falls upon the world, we get Sukuna turning into sludge.
It feels very rushed with the bare minimum of explanation and narrative to fill in. Honestly I know the fanboys are still gonna try to call it "the pinnacle of storytelling" but cmon.

I'd say the series ends too quick. People say "hey it's not yet over", bruh there's literally 3 chapters left ain't no way anything of great plot significance will happen, the story's just gonna wrap up. Ever since Gojo died gege just decided to make this huge fight with Sukuna where he kills half of the characters. Yeah cool, but where's the story? I don't mind Gojo dying but my god after that chapter it was just fight fight fight till the end.
What's making me mad the most is Kenjaku. He said "oooh my will will be passed on", by who and how exactly? It seems like he has no backup plan, I thought someone like that would have plans b c and d, but apparently there's only this assumption that someone will continue his legacy. Again, who and how?
The thing that didn't work for me in this chapter was actually the letter from Gojo to Megumi and the whole resolution to the dad reveal Gojo wanted to make all those yearsago. "Lol I killed your dad sorry", bruh that's it? Why did you kill him, who was he, what happened? And Gojo really didn't think to tell Megumi about Toji's final wish, that he really cared for his son's future even though it might've appeared as if he didn't. I feel like Megumi should be asking those questions. I get that he didn't care about his dad that much, but reading that message without any context is just unsatisfying and shallow. He never even got to know that he actually met his dad in shibuya for a moment.
But what's pissing me off most is how gege completely forgot Geto, the real one, which I think is a good example of how he just casually forgets to write resolutions to the plot points he creates. We've had this one moment where Geto's body resisted Kenjaku's will but this just went nowhere, no callback to this, no resolution, he's just dead. When Gojo returned and met with Kenjaku I was certain that Geto's body will resist again because he sees his best friend (just like the last time) and that after such a long time his soul's force increaced, perhaps overthrowing Ken, but nah. (Yes I am a Geto fan therefore this specific plot point made me real upset)

He took a massive whomping from an organized and stacked group of opponents. Everyone contributed, no matter how small it was.
Looking at it a chapter at a time it looks weird, but now that the whole fight from start to finish is out you can go through in one solid read and note the ridiculous amount of damage that Sukuna took.
Pretty sure at his peak, no Massive group of sorcerers ganged up on him with a plan months in the making, with the foreknowledge of what he was capable of as the pinnacle of Jujutsu.

My take on this is that the lingering theme of JJK's narrative is deconstructing tradition.
Both in universe and how it was written you could somehow see it.
Gojo fighting to change status quo v.s. Kenjaku wanting to bring back the golden era of sorcery. These figureheads for both protagonist and antagonist side were confident they will win, yet both of them were killed first in their respective teams. Whilst Gojo left his hopes to a meaningful legacy of new generation of sorcerers, Kenjaku bet all of it in the strongest relic of the past (Sukuna). The final battle in Shinjuku determines which will prevail, an emergence of a new age of sorcery or the resurgence of the past.
The merger not happening means even if it caused him his demise, Gojo won, and he ensured a future where his students live on. In the end Kenjaku was yet again screwed up by another Six Eyes User.
In JJK not every plot points need to be resolve, as not all of it serves the narrative moving forward. The story is meant to serve the characters not the other way around. Sukuna has no backstory because we didn't need to know about it. Both Kenjaku and Sukuna are relics of the past, Kenjaku being the broken ideology of a corrupt world, whilst Sukuna being the "king of curses" as a natural calamity. This is a good ending.

"Gege had enough." I respect everything you said, but I disagree on this.
There's no truth in any statement that Gege rushed the ending. That is just an assumption. Or a community hear say, it's just an opinion. Whether we like or not the ending we are getting is what Gege wanted. It's the author's intellectual property and he could do whatever he wants with it. But it doesn't mean it didn't tell a complete story based on the narrative he had written so far.
While I agree it's quite absurd the Kenjaku for all his planning got fucked up that easy, but that's exactly the point. He did not expect Takaba to hold such significance in the fight. That's the irony of it. One of the greatest sorcerer of all time gets bodied because of a sorcerer that he was responsible for awakening. He fucked himself over in that regard.
The same could be said with Gojo as he did expect Mahoraga to be used to become a blueprint for a slash that sliced the world itself.
Again, everything you said emphasized on the overarching narrative of breaking and deconstructing tradition.
Yuji did not grow up to be as fucked up as Sukuna because he had his grandpa with him. He met Gojo and everyone in Jujutsu tech helped shape what he had become. Regardless of his supposed origin
Also, let's entertain the idea of the merger. For the merger to happen all culling game players must die first. That means Yuji has to die as well before it even happens. That's the point of fighting Sukuna for him to not murder culling game players and proceed with the merger. A future where the merger happens is a future where Yuta, Miwa, Hana, Amai, Hakari, and Yuji dies while Sukuna fights the merger of Tengen and the people of Japan.
That's a great interpretation but the reality is is that Gege got burnt out, he's done. You say there's no truth to that but it is FACT that he has taken MULTIPLE breaks purely to work on how he wants to story to proceed. This is FACT as it has literally been written to us for every break. And if you have been reading the manga you could easily see that it got away from him. That is why so many plot points went nowhere or are gone entirely. I'm not going to glaze or idolize the lack of ANY world building. The only time there was ever ANY world-building was when Kenjaku amassed multiple nation's military/governments to Japan to then be sacrificed to the merger that NEVER HAPPENED. Gege is great a fight sequences and small, contained stories. But, Gege is not a big picture kind of guy nor can he handle a longrunning series. At least he'll have gained experience from JJk for his next work

What I realized is that people mostly never appreciate the ending of a story because they have their own ideas of how it should have ended. ie: Harry potter, game of thrones, marvel, DC, wok, tvd, demon slayer, naruto etc... There are a few exceptions but most people have already crafted an ending to a story they didn't write. That's why I measure the quality of an ending based on "does it make sense?", and not on "I personally didn't like it". The defeat of Sukuna made perfect sense and had minimums plot hole in it.
