Copy? you literally copied that left to right song from the English version lol But it's cute that you think we want to copy everything from you guys when we're doing better (except for the roads)
Belgium is almost the same as the Netherlands. There are fewer people and more different languages, but the fans are similar to the Dutch. I am from the Netherlands, but I liked their performance as well.
we as Dutch may thank the belgians a lot, in the 17 and 18th century they came to the Netherlands with there money/power and skilled peoples who needed a way out from religion prosecution. they helped us to have a golden century and wealth today. so i would always appriciate our southern family. we have a lot of there DNA
There's no need to be that cautious, Paul😅 Belgians and Dutch may be separated, but we share the same history, one little language and one BIG frienemy: 🌊water🌊. We are one people and will always have each others back
We make a lot of jokes about Belgium and the other way around, but in the end we are all kind to eachother. I love to see they partied aswell. So sad that they needed to go home, though!
180 years ago Belgium and the Netherlands separated officially. 60% of the population in Belgium speaks Dutch, just like the people of the Netherlands.
Belgium (formerly the spanish and austrian netherlands became separate far before the split-up of 180 years ago. Namely from the beginning of the Dutch republic late 15 hundreds. The reunion of our republic (just after Napoleon)with the southern netherlands (Belgium) only existed a few decennia as a reunited kingdom of the Netherlands. So not that long. After they became their own again, the southern netherlands installed the name 'Belgium' under a new Belgian king. While we kept king William 1 of Orange (decendant of the 'father of the fatherland , also called : Willem of Orange the first stadholder (16th century) The Dutch republic under the house of Orange existed for a longer period than the current Dutch kingdom under the same House....(of Orange) Wij zijn dus langer republiek dan koninkrijk, gezien over de eeuwen. b.t.w.
The defqon one is Pavo & Zany - Here We Go, two Dutch DJ's indeed. But on the other hand we couldn't party as hard if the Belgians didn't supply us with world class beer. Sharing is caring :p
De helft van België is gewoon, Nederland! En de rest Frankrijk! Ik heb veel vrienden daar. In Nederland, België. Ik kom er bijna elke maand. Groetjes uit Bunschoten-Spakenburg,
Think the issue was that the venue was announced pretty late, i.e. that the game was played in munich, at least that's what I understood, I could've misheard, therefore "only" like 10-15k Dutch supporters were there.
Funny thing about french fries. There is no such thing. Its a misconception made by american soldiers that were in the south of belgium where they speak french.😅
French fries are called that, because in WW! US soldiers heard people speaking French and thought they were in France and thus called them French Fries. But they where in Belgium. If they would have found out a bit later, they might have been called Dutch fries or German fries. And it is just how they are made. Basically double fry them. That's it. I have bad ones in Belgium and good ones in The Netherlands and other countries. And the other way around. It is silly thinking that only the Belgians think they know how to make them. Now beer and chocolates on the other hand ... Sure, both have Piss beer. Heineken is not much worse than Stella (Yes, I went there.) But there are way better beers that are not from AB InBev.
I saw Speed eat Belgian fries and compare it to Five guys (who also double fry them), but I've eaten some fries in Belgium that taste like milk and honey, that's why I consider them the best
To whom ever it may concern...The Netherlands= not the same as Holland. Germany= NOT the Netherlands. Belgium= different than the Netherlands. We are small but we have our own BIG identity and personality.
Hej Paul, the original song is from a friend of mine, dj Zany and Pavo: Pavo & Zany - Here We Go , old from 2003. the start of the hardstyle sound in Holland. the dutch spoken party version is from snollebolleks.
No one cares about the kind of songs people dance to. Its like condemning france or germany or any other non english speaking country dancing to an english song. It doesnt matter. What matters is the vibe that they bring. Half of Belgium happens to understand the lyrics of the song. If the song was sang in english, i bet more countries wouldve sang it and danced to.
No, you do not understand this quite right. Flemish and Dutch people have the same language, and the culture and music is very similar. It is not different like the Scotch and the Netherlands for example. That is a different culture, with different music.
Absolutely not true ! There is a difference of almost 500 years. Infrastructure, culture, mentality, politics, architecture, atmosphere is totaly different....
And a lot is copied in The Netherlands from Belgium. It is a thing that has been going on for hundreds of years (and way longer) in Europe that we influence each other.

Belgium is like a little brother of the Netherlands, and copies a lot from the Netherlands, but this is not a problem, we love our Belgian neighbors.
well said

@@DACHBenelux LOL. That's my point, you can't. If one of us gets weak, we will both drown, literally, and economically. Football doesn't matter, LOL

It's like saying USA is same as Canada.... Some similarities but definitely own identity.
