    Memorias de Cuba
The program for this evening is the sign of the traditional music of Cuba. Although the bandoneon is the instrument of the Argentinean tango, Carel Kraayenhof knows how to forge these wonderful worlds together and combine them in a melancholy mix of African, Latin American and North American music. "It is music that radiates commitment," says Kraayenhof. "Every instrument, tres, guitar, trumpet, flute, violin, congas, bongos, timbales, maracas, piano or bass, has its own role, they are all equally important. As in a family". It is now ten years since Carel Kraayenhof at the wedding of Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima was able to elicit many a tear with his passionate rendition of Astor Piazzolla's "Adios Nonino" and became world famous with it.
    LUCRECIA
Born in Cuba and an apprentice to the island's greatest musicians, LUCRECIA began her musical career at the tender age of seven, playing piano and singing, and eventually earned her degree from the Institute Superior de Arte de Cuba.
International singing sensation LUCRECIA is one of the most versatile Latin female vocalists of our time. Her performances are characterized by passionate, high-energy renditions of classic Latin tunes and sophisticated, refined interpretations of boleros and jazz standards.
Lucrecia covers a broad spectrum, including Latin, jazz, pop and electronic music.
Lucrecia has been a guest at the Metropole Orchestra before, during an electrifying performance with the Cuban saxophonist Paquito d'Rivera.
