Nice. I showed this video to my 7th grade class. My favorite pastry is pie! I love it, and I make a good pie crust. Thanks for the video. We are using acrylic paint to paint any dessert on paper.
Yes, please, let's grab a coffee and try them all. It sounds delicious. When I go for a coffee 'plus', I often try a new one. It's amazing what flavors can surprise me. Being open to new things broadened my horizon. I nourish my creativity, LOL. 😊 Albert
Pretty cool channel Albert! I am an artist as a professional chef so my art is using real food!! Painting the food seems even more difficult but you make it look easy! My daughter is an artist so will be showing her these videos for sure!
It looks like what we call a Vanilla Slice in Australia. Our is almost always white icing. Ive never seen it with pink! So pretty! Great colours for your painting. Im keen to try a desert painting. Thanks for the inspiration!
LOVE 💞 this video! Count me amongst your many fans. I paint & sign my work with my actual last name, Van Hosen - I was happy to find your video so it came as an even lovelier surprise to learn that you're Dutch 🌷 As a new subscriber I look forward to watching and learning from all your videos. Thank you for sharing your valuable time, great talent and the treasure of your dedication & presenting the videos fo benefit others in their creative journeys.
Thanks Carrie, always nice to meet a 'fan' although I prefer a like minded spirit or artistic friend. Enjoy what you will find at my channel that you can use. Happy painting, Albert
@@ImperfectPaintings well, fan does does rather Kardashian, doesn't it? 🤭 Love the idea of an artistic kindred spirit and thank you again for all you do 🙏🎨!
Hi Shirley, thanks. Shadows can be amazing in their effect but I also get your hesitation at first to ruin your painting. Thiebaud shows them brilliantly in all their strange colors. Have a happy day and keep painting, Albert
Thanks for asking, Shesources, I would go for realism, but perhaps impressionistic realism would be interesting to choose as well. Or forget about it and just enjoy it? Albert
Hi Albert, thanks for your great class. I’d like to know, what do you think Wayne used to give his paint that thick, icing consistency? Thank you, cathy
Hi Cathy, thanks. First of all he used oil paint, it can be shaped like you work with real cream. But there are all sorts of mediums to create an oil like texture with acrylics too, like (extra) heavy gel medium. Get yourself some of it and play, i mean really play, to get to know the material. Enjoy, Albert

Please no kardashians. Spirits is better, they don't have one I guess, sold it for some extra likes perhaps.
Hi Albert, I like the name of your channel! I will share this video with my sisters who both take painting lessons.
Hello Katarina, yes it may not be perfect, but what is in life. Hope your sisters enjoy painting just as mutch as I do. Thanks for sharing.
Chocolate Croissant. Enjoyed your video.
Thanks Elizabeth, I like them too. Albert
Very relaxing video to watch. Thank you.. I used to avoid cast shadows and the objects in my paintings looked suspended and had no dimension.

"I just wanted to lick the ice cream cones"...funny. I might end up eating that pastry before I painted it. Looks great!
Hi, thanks for your comment, really appriciate it. Enjoy life, eat cake or paint it!
@@ImperfectPaintings Wayne Thiebald's early was OIL PASTEL MOSTLY. Not oil

Hi Jane, thanks. It's ons of my first video's and not that smooth, but i can tell you the hardest part is not eating your subject. Albert

Hi Aadit, thanks. I can't choose, love it all. Bye, Albert
IT WAS OIL PASTELS
