    • @Connor-wf2zn
      @Connor-wf2zn 6 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      I know it's 2 years late but, cpr certification. Rescue breathing, different types of saves with the rescue tube. Active drowning saves, unconscious saves. Back boarding (if you are at a water park, I had to learn that) etc. It sounds like a lot but it's really easy as long as you have a brain and can learn and know how to swim lmao

    *laughs in Canadian* our test is a 400m swim in 10 mins, a 1 minute head up 50m sprint, retrieving a 20 pound brick from 10 feet within 40 seconds, a minute thirty approach and carry for 50m, and a 15m underwater swim. This is sooooo much easier

    • @rankociric8814
      @rankociric8814 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Laughs in Croatian. Around here we have 400 m in 8 minutes, 1 minute 50 m sprint, retrieving the brick, 25 meter underwater swim, and a 2 km swim here and back in two hours (in open waters, of course)

    • @matthewfreitag1781
      @matthewfreitag1781 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rankociric8814 Geez, 25 meter underwater swim sounds terrible. Even our 15m underwater swim had me completely out of breath.
      Also Aiden forgot to mention the 5m no tube pia carry. It sounds easy, but our instructor made us keep the chest well out of the water. In my opinion the most physically challenging aspect.

    • @rankociric8814
      @rankociric8814 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@matthewfreitag1781 It is explicable. Croatian economy depends practically entirely on tourism so the summer seasons have to be top notch (this involves security also). The lifeguards are therefore among the very best.

      If you are considering NL you 100% need to know front crawl, and should definetly know breast stroke. That being said, this isn't WSI, so they are more relaxed on things like technique.
      That being said, they will dedicate zero time to teaching strokes. You should try to get a private lesson at your local pool if you need to brush up.
