@@MrCastIron awesome brother. If I was your neighbor, I’d have to pull up a chair and watch. Your set up is excellent for winter outdoor cooking as well. Have a blessed day
Hey Mike looks like you and Mrs. Cast Iron had a great lunch! Nothing wrong with some back yard church either! Great memories of our Mom's....sure can make your day!! Excellent video bud! Y'all have an awesome week and take care!!
Thanks Big Rob!! Yeah backyard church is fitting for an ole back row Baptist ain’t it??!! Lol. I wish I had payed more attention to what momma cooked back in the day don’t you?
Awesome cooking Mike! This is a pork pot roast I would love to have been there to try it looks super delicious my friend! Many thanks for sharing this and take care up there!
Thanks Patrick! You’re right it was a good ole pork pot roast lol! Id love for you to come on up and give it a taste anytime my friend!! Take care bud!
It looks amazing! I'm also planning to build a smaller version of campfire station where I can cook on wood fire with cast iron! I am one step closer after this video, great experience besides the taste!
Thanks for checking it out my friend! I don’t know how much you plan on cooking on your fire pit but I kinda wish I would have made mine a little bit bigger!
Love the cast iron serving dishes. Like the lap tray Mrs Teresa is using to hold her serving dish. Awesome way to surprise Mrs Teresa and honor both your mothers. All those flavors from the marinade and the rubs coming together with the vegetables...oh my goodness. And that final toch of corn starch to make a gravy. Ok. I'm drooling like a baby cutting teeth. New friend here. Staying connected for more awesome recipes.
Thank you so much!! We sure appreciate you and thanks again for subscribing! I really like those little cast iron serving platters too! You take care and we’ll certainly be in touch!’
Yes, I enjoyed cooking this one, but the best part was eating it, lol! The Lodge Cook It All is great for outdoor live-fire cooking. The only thing I don't like about it is the skillet is only 6.8 quart. I wish it were like my favorite Dutch oven, which is 8 quart!
That really looks good and delicious! You and Mrs. Cast Iron do a wonderful job showing and sharing your recipes! Thanks for another one, have a great and safe rest of the week!
Like that hay bail with all those cool caracteres. WOW that is a giant brick fireplace . I bet that porkroast is fantastic in that sweet vinager and olive oil. Great video. Thanks for posting
Yeah she usually puts it out in the front yard but since I’ve cooking she put it out here where we can enjoy it while sitting and relaxing!! Pork roast turned out great!! I’ve never used sweet vinegar and olive oil as a marinade but it was pretty tasty! Thanks again for checking it out!!
That sure looked good, Mike. Nice fire pit set-up. It was supper upstairs at Grandmas every week. Thank you for the awesome Cast Iron Wednesday recipe. Stay safe and stay cool
It's funny how cast iron cooking grows on you. I had all my grandparents Wagner Ware and Griswold cast iron from 50-75 years ago and didn't really realize the treasures I had in the cabinet. The only cast iron I had ever used was a large Lodge skillet I bought in my early 20's to blacken fish with. Enjoyed the video and will check out more as time allows. Now I'm hungry!
Yessir that’s so true...it’s amazing what we all could’ve had from our grandparents if we had only know then what we know now! Thanks for checking us out and stay in touch!! We’ll be cooking up something I’m sure!! Take care buddy and watch out for those snakes and alligators!!
@@MrCastIron I'll be watching out for alligators, believe me! Regarding antiques it's true that if we knew then what we knew now we'd all be rich in our old age. (Hey they only want 10 cents for this Spiderman #1 comic....maybe I'll buy a few). I remember in the original movie "The Highlander" the main character is immortal and to support himself financially he runs an antique shop. What a great carrier choice for a guy who lives forever.
