    This video will demonstrate how to remove any chemicals, smell or impurities from synthetic or human hair extensions before installing them. There was nothing wrong with this particular hair but this is something I started doing with every hair before installing, because I have very sensitive scalp. Affiliate link below:

    Wow I never thought about it leading to face breakout 😮 I got box braids for the first time and I noticed myself breaking out in acne and I hardly ever do 🤔 and I was blaming my skin care for it now I’m rethinking it might’ve been the hair cuz I didn’t rinse it

    • @AfroCari.Naturals
      @AfroCari.Naturals  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, absolutely 💯 it can also cause scalp itching and other scalp issues too 😬 so best to prewash before use 👍

    I have to do this every single time because my face will break out so bad. I still have discoloration from using hair without washing (this was back in May). Thankfully, I'm healing.

    No need for the conditioner for synthetic hair. But def the ACV rinse and shampoo is helpful. I wish they would go back to the old hair. I used to get braids and crochet done all the time and never had the problems I have now. When I first discovered this I thought it was something my sister put in my scalp but it was the braid hai.

    Didn't wash them the 1st time and left my scalp so sore and itchy no matter how much I washed it. So this time around I'm doing a pre-wash

    • @AfroCari.Naturals
      @AfroCari.Naturals  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes dear! That's the best thing to do, trust me. The last time I installed other hair without washing, my scalp was so itchy and sore for weeks and also pre-washing leaves the hair smelling so nice 👌

    • @AfroCari.Naturals
      @AfroCari.Naturals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice, happy to hear this! I am not sure about the coloured hair and the Apple Cider vinegar and whether it will strip the colour. You could test it out on 1 piece of hair or omit the Vinegar and just use the conditioner only. Let me know how it goes 🙂😊

      I'm late but any synthetic hair can be soaked. I've had blue, purple, red, green, and natural colors and everything time I prep it's always fine. The only difference is I use warm water for braiding hair.

    Strange to not rinse the sink out in between washings and conditioning and rinsing. Isn't the residue still on it?

    • @AfroCari.Naturals
      @AfroCari.Naturals  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could do that if you would like to but I didn't and the hair was still fine afterwards, no itching or smell, however adding that extra step wouldn't hurt.

    Will this work on prestretched springy twists?

    • @AfroCari.Naturals
      @AfroCari.Naturals  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I think so. But ensure that the water is not hot to disturb the curls as this will straighten it. Also, remember to swish gently in the water so as not to cause the hair to become tangled or rough...I hope this helps.
