- Hey guys I tried out the Temptu airbrush device and here are my thoughts!!!!
Would you try it? Its so expensive; I spent about $600 aud on this whole set... so the results should have been amazing.

Next time I'll re-try holding the device further away from my face, it doesn't help with the speckling I get but maybe it will help keep the blush softer when applying!

I remember struggling with makeup several years ago & I started looking into this. I researched this one & a few others. Decided against them after much thought. The reason I was having such a shitty time was my own skincare. I wasn't caring for my skin properly. Now I can slap on any old foundation & my skin glows. Skincare first, makeup 2nd. 🤗

She isn't using it correctly. You should keep the device close to the face for spot concealing but covering large areas like foundation or blush you should spray from further away. I use this on my clients and it's a really convenient airbrush system! x
arifk1337 I know this comment is late, lol, but she didn’t prime the pods either.....I hate when people do reviews and have not invested the time to properly understand how to actually use what you’re reviewing.
I just got mine and I’m having issues with my compressor not spraying out foundation consistently. Like it will spray some out, then stop.. and it still has a ton of foundation in them. Is pruning supposed to help with that?

Hey Chloe! I think you aren't happy with the machine because there are a few things you should tweak about your application:
You are holding the machine too close to your face which is probably why it took so long to apply. You want it to be about 4 inches away and work in larger circular motions. That's why it was so wet..too much product. It should be applied in light layers in order to build up coverage for a more even application. Make sure to give the pods a good shake before each use and prime them by pulling back on the plastic loop. This should be in the instructions. I think your foundation was clogged and that's why you were getting a blotchy result. I hope these tips give you better results!

c0urtn3ylynn3 i think the problem is more when your paying $500 for a complete system, you expect it to be consistant and not faulty.
Christina Hantzinikolas the pods from temptu are a completely new type of airbrush makeup system design and application. Of course there is room for error however, is it the machines fault?
She didn't follow any of the instructions that come with the system explaining how to properly use the pods and prep them for the machine or how to care for them in between uses. These are crucial steps as they makes sure the makeup comes out evenly and consistently. She also didn't hold the machine at a proper distance. Both of which are explained.

Not sure which exact kit she bought but mine came with the device, cleaner, and a foundation for $150. I know that the separate, prefilled airpods she was using are about $60 each. I'm guessing that conversion rate on pricing is massive...

So people spend time and money for this product?! and then go over it with a brush to blend it in?! my God what a ridiculous product. I think I'll stick to no bs
but it doesn't come out evenly, it comes out speckled Liz! as displayed on the white paper :( no matter how far away from the face or close to the face it spurts out unevenly :( it looks nicer when blotted out as i showed :)
Hey Chloe! I bought this recently as well. I haven't noticed any speckling from my foundation because I use the little needle cleaner that can be found inside the cap, every time I finish using the product. Have you tried that at all? The foundation may have dried onto your needle, creating a blockage for the product to come out and spray evenly. I hope that may help! I use the Hydralock foundation formula. :)

CHLOOOEEEE!!!!!! OMG I don't know if you will see this, but I got the Temptu Pro Kit with the silver hand piece, and it is SO much better! You can drop any liquid foundation into the funnel and it blends it out beautifully. I didn't like the one you have because I had the same exact issues. I'm not sure if you have a pro license, but even as a makeup artist you can get one! It's basically a mini spray tan gun and you can use any foundation you like (as long as it's not super thick). Try it out!! It will make a HUGE difference!! I do wedding makeup every weekend with it and it's the best little tool I've ever purchased. Regardless you look beautiful! Hope you're doing well xo. Oh and I have used it to do spray tans on myself and my mom and it worked great! :)
You're using it wrong; I've watched other reviews which show the correct method and how fast it is to apply - also you need to shake each pod, open it and pump the button on the pod before using it to prime it for use

Hi Chloe! I bought the Temptu a couple years ago before it was $500 (it was only $190). I used it everyday for a couple of years and really liked it. I switched back to regular foundation recently, but do still like the product. It lasts a long time and doesn't take as much prep. Just a tip - you are holding it WAY to close to your face which is why you are getting patchiness and that wet look. You are supposed to hold it way further back - it won't take as long to apply and won't be as wet! Also make sure you shake it really really well and pull up the clear plastic thingy a few times before putting it in!

i have this airbrush machine and you're definitely not supposed to use it SO close to your face. it makes the foundation look cakey and brings out your pores.

Chloe, I have this device and have been using it for a few months. What you need to do before you plug in the pods onto the device is, you have to pull the small flick thingy at the bottom of the pods (basically like pumping it) so that the product would come out. Then you can plug the pod onto the device, turn it on and airbrush your face. This needs to be done so that it doesn't "speckle" and your product comes out evenly.

you shouldn't hold it so close! and always move it with circular motions. I do everything with that and it gives a really nice finish. specially it's great for photo shoots, give a great result looks gorgeous on pics. try it more, I am sure you will love it after a while
I've used it three times and when you hold it far away basically NOTHING happens, it still speckles everywhere (as u can see on the paper) and it takes about 10 mins to get even a medium coverage!

I own a Temptu system I bought a few years ago, and my experience was generally good, but I also dealt with some faulty pods. If you're taking that long to apply foundation, it could be an issue with the pod that the makeup isn't coming out fast enough. I've got some that do the same thing, and others that work great and get me done in 30 seconds. You can try poking the hole in the pod with a needle to make sure it's not clogged or prime it by pumping that clear loop thing on the top up and down. I also find I have much better success holding the airbrush back about 6 inches from my face so it covers more at once. The blushes are garbage though. I just like it for foundation.
I will say your skin looks so good at the end and the fact that it holds up so well especially with how dewy of a finish it has is pretty awesome. But damn the price! Expected tho
I think the products look nice on your skin, but what I really wanted to say though, is how good your hair looks, this colour suits you so much :)
so far the clarisonic makeup brush is the only electric foundation brush that I would consider buying! the results on Tati were amazing!

I have the professional airbrush gun and I find it comes out speckled when there's a blockage somewhere so this could be the case also? Airbrush does take ages to master though in all honesty. I'm looking at investing in this gun for my brides. I didn't realize it was an at home airbrush x

Temptu formula in the pods is Silicon and thus a thick consistency. I think the foundation pod just needed to be cleaned in the front with a bit of rubbing alcohol, should not be splotchy. Should only be a fine mist. Just make sure you shake the pod before use and clean the front after use and should work well. Please keep trying because practise makes perfect. I have the Temptu Pro and Dinair and love them both. Happy airbrushing!!!

I honestly like it in spite of the time consumption. Her skin looks flawless and natural with it. It doesn't have that caked-chalky look like regular foundation under natural light. Temptu has a next generation kit where you can mix your own foundation for the pods for $250.

I have this product and I bought the older version. It was fun at first but then I didn't end up using it after a while. One of the biggest flaws at the time when I was using it is that you have to put powder on top of the foundation. Because if you don't when you kiss people from cheek to cheek they will feel the stickiness of your face. It doesn't dry very quickly. And if you had this machine for a few years it actually gets weaker and they won't replace it. So you have to actually buy it every 5 years. That's my experience. Also the blushes are accurate it's mostly watery

I just discovered Temptu's liquid highlighter last night and it was fucking AMAZING - i dab a bit with a finger on the inner third of my eyelid after finishing my eyeshadow and it looked so good!

Well, it is not charged enough, the lights are blinking and that is why the product won't come out alright and fast. And you need to clean the needle, this one is clogged and that is why you get speckles.
I've worked with airbrush for years and now have the Temptu air, and i love it. But you need to know how to airbrush.
And you have it way to close to the face!

It’s not $500 US dollars. It’s $195, plus your foundation pod.
She said 500 TOTAL. She clearly said that (and also listed it on the video while saying it) that the starter kit was $270, a 3 set of blush highlighter and foundation, and another set 2 set of bronzer and tanner. She never said the Temptu machine cost 500. It was 3 purchases in total that she said was 500 Australian dollars. Don't put words in people's mouths. It makes you Look Like a sloppy asshole.

aw that sucks that you didn't like the Air but when watching your video, I noticed your Air is dying. That's why the lights were blinking. Also the tip of your airpod had a ton of build up. I would clean it with a q tip. When you shook it though, it sounded like the pod was empty. I have the Air and LOVE it, when done right it's a fab product, all my clients love it because how quick and easy it is.

My temptu machines back up and get speckled application when the sprayer is clogged or covered with product. Just needs a clean. Your foundation should apply as quickly and as easy as your Bronzer. Love that you're using temptu on TH-cam - I never see temptu demos in videos

This machine retails for 195$ each foundation pod is around 45$ she’s holding it way to close to her face which is causing it to become heavier in places it actually comes with a cleansing thing for the tip also which you can see hers is super dirty which is why it’s speckling she’s just not properly using the equipment

I went to school at temptu and have the professional set and I'm upset with the home set bc I love my stuff. Only thing I got complaints on were older people they said it kinda brought out their wrinkles more. I do enjoy using it for sfx makeup tho!
I have the dinair airbrush machine SO good I love it, and it's all waterbased it's so easy to clean your face after. And it lasts!

Hello Choe I think you should give it another try as I noticed the distance is very near when you applied it on your face (Temptu recommends 4-6 inches).And lastly, you have to always shake all the airpods prior to application , im assuming that’s why the pigments didn’t came off from the blush pod.Hope this helps as I want you to make the most of your $500 makeup 😊..cheers!keep the videos coming :)
I use the professional system over the top of traditional foundation for a flawless result it's so much quicker and looks way better for a full coverage look !!
