Since this video is still getting a lot of traction I wanted to give you a quick update on my experience with backmarkets customer service. *TLDR:* My phone broke (Cellular issue detected). Couldn’t connect to mobile network so I sent it in for repair under warranty. They sent a new phone because mine couldn’t be repaired. The new phone is broken too (can’t connect to wifi and crashes every few minutes). I sent the new phone back again. They didn‘t have any other replacement phones so I got a full refund. I have now ordered a new phone. Stay tuned for the unboxing!! :) *The full story of what happened:* About two weeks ago the iPhone broke. There was a „cellular issue detected“ error message shown in settings under „parts and service protocol“. This meant my phone couldn’t connect to any mobile networks. I basically had an iPod touch at that point lol. I tried resetting the network settings which, in fact, fixed it for a few hours. The issue came back though. Updating to the latest iOS version didn’t help either. I waited for about a week and the issue still remained. Since I still had warranty I decided to open a ticket on blackmarkets website. There you can select what the issue is, upload a few photos of your phone (incase anything ges wrong in transit), describe what the issue is in detail and then send it back to them. They use express services which makes everything super fast. I took my phone to the nearest post office and sent it off. I sent it to them on Monday, they received it on Tuesday. I didn’t hear back from them which was kind of weird. You have to note though that it’s up to the seller to give you updates, not blackmarket itself. On Wednesday I got a message that my phone couldn’t be repaired and they were sending a new one. I thought that that was great and everything would be going well. Oh how wrong I was. On Thursday the new phone arrived at my home. Since I don’t live at home anymore (I moved to College a few weeks back and vlogged it if you wanna see that :)) I had to wait until the weekend to set it up. I unboxed it and was like man, this phone looks great, better than my last one. I turned it on and something seemed a little off. It couldn’t connect to wifi? I restarted it and then it worked. I thought that was fluke (bugs happen and most of the time they are not a big deal). I set it up normally and restored a backup I had made to iCloud a week prior. It restored fine but then the issues started happening. The phone would crash about every 5 minutes which meant that none of my apps were downloading. The first time it happened I was like hmm okay, thats weird. The phone was super hot at that point aswell. After it had crashed the Wifi settings were grayed out and couldn’t be turned on. So I restarted it manually and wifi was working again. But it kept crashing and crashing. Even after a complete restore of the software using my computer it couldn’t connect to wifi and was crashing repeatedly. So I decided to open another ticket with blackmarket and send it back to them. The worst thing though is that I already put on a screen protector since I thought everything was working fine :( *UPDATE November 28:* I received a message that my phone couldn't be repaired or replaced and I will be getting a full refund. I just got that refund and have now ordered a new phone. I have to say that the customer service of backmarket was pretty good. They didn't ask any questions or refused to give me back my money. I can't say that it's the same for every seller but I am pretty happy with how easy that was. Thats why I ordered an iPhone 13 Pro from backmarket now. Stay tuned for the unboxing! :)
Friend, that is a modus operandi, if you bought it from a company that sells phones at a very low price, it means that you fell... See how this works: The sellers buy the phone for months without interest, that's why they give them to you sealed, basically new, what happens is that they have to pay an advance. When they do that, they stop paying for the months they have to pay, and when they give you the cell phone, that's why they give it to you sealed, although I see that was not your case, it is released to any company, and when the weeks, months pass, etc., the company where the phone was originally purchased blocks it and classifies it as a stolen phone, because the payment has not been completed, which is why you cannot connect to the internet. Unfortunately, very common here in Mexico, many scams, but be careful my friend.
it’s not "shit". Backmarket is a trusted company with good reviews and I got a full refund after 9 months of using the phone. I think that speaks for itself. I am very happy with customer support and the phone that I bought. It was very unfortunate that it broke but that could’ve happened with a new phone aswell.
i totally think it’s worth it. It’s fast, has nice build quality, great cameras, good battery life etc. The only thing I don’t like is the stainless steel frame as it scratches quite easily. But having a case mitigates that. All in all it’s a great phone with a lot of years of softwareupdates left. :)
@@mariusmikammmm get a battery change cuz you need to experience a 100% battery that’s what I’m doing with my iPhone 13 letting it go down to 80% and then getting a battery change

it’s all fine. I knew i wasn‘t getting 100% battery health before buying the phone. The battery life is pretty good anyways so I won‘t be changing it any time soon. If it gets below 80% at some point or it won’t last an entire day then I will be replacing the battery. Thanks for your advice! :)
That’s cool. I wanna buy a back market iPhone as well cuz minimum salary in my country is really low and due to current government’s policies there is more taxes for the phone than its original price so for example an iPhone 14 pro is 1000 dollars at USA and 2150 dollars at my country 😱. So a 12 pro for 435 dollars price tag is an absolute bargain unless if it’s in ok condition.
That’s a risk you have to take. I can only speak from my experience. Backmarket has a 1 year warranty. Since my phone broke in that time frame I was able to get a complete refund. They didn’t ask any questions. You can also send it back within 30 days after receiving it if you’re unhappy. :) Or if you could get one from apple refurbished site. They are more expensive and don’t have that great of a selection but quality control should be really high.
I’d say it’s still pretty good. The battery life has been great so far even though it’s decreased a little since I got it, but that may have been because I am running the iOS 17 beta right now. It’s a really great phone that I would definitely recommend. I also do love having the zoom/telephoto camera lens. Back when I got it, I was debating whether or not to get the iPhone 12 pro or the iPhone 13 mini and I am happy that I got the 12 pro for the third camera. I hope this is helpful! :)
@@abdiazizabdiweli9814 yeah that’s what i thought too. I just waited for the best deal as the prices change almost daily. If you can get an excellent one for really cheap then i would go for that. I can’t tell you what fair or good look like condition wise but personally i wouldn’t go for fair condition.
i can recommend the lighter colors like white or gold because they don’t show smudges as much as the darker ones. But I do think that pacific blue is amazing too because it’s special to the iphone 12 pro. I can’t really say which one is “the best”. You should probably try to see if you can find them in a store and look at them in real life or try searching for them on ebay as there you get real pictures and not the marketing ones. :)

Please don't! I'm still waiting for them to issue my full refund after having to return an IPhone 12 pro max that was being sold as "excellent"...trust me, I'm not exaggerating when I say the screen had literally more than 80 scratches and a deep one under the front camera. This was the second iphone I had to return in less than 14 days. Save yourself the frustration or buy at your own risk. First, I ordered an iPhone 11 and they sent it in a non padded thing cardboard envelope, I didn't even bother to open it and sent it back right away. The 2nd time, as I said they sold me an iPhone 12 Pro Max fair condition as excellent. Sometime I don't fully believe people reviewing things from those types of companies since they get sent the best of the best on purpose...you know?! Somehow they get to know when someone is a youtuber and a potential reviewers. Again, buy at your own risk.
@@TLOH7 oh that sounds bad. I am sorry you have to go through all of that. Thank you for telling us! I don‘t think they could‘ve known that I was going to make a video on my purchase though.
