Has taken me two days to learn the first 30 seconds, but this was a fantastic video and a great song! You've effectively gotten me back into playing acoustic and enjoying it. Having trouble with the 3/4 // 0/0 slide but I'll make sure to get it eventually

@@peksnI’m about intermediate level so I’ll answer for you because OP didn’t… the first 30 seconds or so that includes just the chords (and some smaller embellishments) took me around two small sessions to learn, so around an hour total. The more technical bit that covers the main melody and makes up most of this piece took me around 5 longer sessions to learn fully, so 5-10 hours total spread out over a couple days. Overall it’s not to difficult if you stick to it! Good luck!
(and if you’re playing on acoustic make sure your action isn’t too high)

For the fingerpicking intro thing:
Pluck in the order of 5th string(thumb)-1st-2nd-3rd strings with ring finger, middle finger and index, then lightly slap/mute all the strings.
Then for the next two chords just strum once
Eg: Cmaj7(the arrangement)- B7(strum)- Em( strum)- Dm7( arrangement)- G7(strum)- Cmaj7(strum)- B7(strum-slap)- Em(strum-slap)

Trick for beginners, most of these notes are just strings plucked while holding a chord.
indeed, though here they're mostly uncommon shapes of chords. The hard part for me is the thumb slap at the same time as strings and that part at 0:25 confuses me timing wise.

the hard part for me is the barrechords i tire easily doing them
@@CarlJohnson-ff6yb your thumb will get stronger with time, you can also use your middle finger to press onto your barred index. A good song to practice barred, or at least the one that helped me, is Where Is My Mind by the Pixies

Awesome arrangement and many thanks for sharing the music love. The percusive element of fingerstyle can be quite difficult so tip for those struggling with tbe piece - go to settings on the video and slow down the playback to 0.75 or 0.5. Start slow and build up speed once comfortable. All comes together nicely
