As a person of Chinese decent, the Erhu is meant for soft and majestic tunes like the theme of Gladiator. This rendition is pure perfection and it captures the spirit of the bronze age era.

Был ребенком 9 лет когда вышел фильм, в кинотеатр не попал на него, до сих пор помню кассету и впечатления от первого просмотров, шедевр на все времена, Ридли Скотт, Рассел Кроу, Хоакин Феникс и Ганс Зиммер создали совершенно что-то невероятное
"Гладиатор"-фильм,который любил мой муж.Он умер,но песня так запала в душу и напоминает те моменты,когда мы были вместе!

This may be the most hauntingly beautiful ballad of all. I'm 42 and I'm not ashamed to say I cried when I saw this movie and this song came on. Powerful and perfect. Still strikes a chord in 2021.

Erhu is an amazing instrument. To me, it sounds like the upper strings of a banjo played with a bow. I come from a family of traditional southern USA bluegrass musicians, that's the best way I can describe it. beautiful.
Well yeah it’s a stringed instrument with a small box. Musical instruments like the human race are all interconnected. The Erhu came to China from nomadic steppe people of what is now Mongolia. We are all connected.
