When Caroline died i only tuned in when the storylines were good . Back in those early days i thought the show could have been even better . This show is a joke now . I no longer watch it .
I'm sorry, but in its heyday, B&B was the very best soap of all time ever. It was written brilliantly, probably because the talented William J. Bell was at the helm back then, instead of his hack son. The writing was tight. The storylines were exciting and intriguing. In those days the plots were intricately woven and faceted, where multiple characters were involved or effected in some way by a single story. For instance, when Brooke originally was with Eric, there was so much complexity to that storyline. There was the Eric/Brooke/Ridge triangle, the Brooke/Eric/Stephanie triangle, the tension between Brooke and her mother Beth, who still loved Eric. So each scene with these characters always had underlying subtext and tension. Nowadays though, it's just three characters involved in a storyline and all the rest of the characters act as sounding boards. Back then, during one half hour show, you'd get three different and complex storylines that were all equally riveting. Today, during one half hour show, you get one segment of the main storyline and the other two segments are basically just filler of other characters discussing the characters in the main storyline, with no storyline of their own to follow. Back at its height, those 30 minutes somehow managed to pack so much drama and story into so little time and left you wanting more and made you eager to tune in the next day. Now, you just mostly fast forward through most of the show and only watch the main scenes because the full half hour seems to drag on. I haven't watched the show in ages, probably since the early, 2000's. The quality is just not there for me anymore.
Why does Stephanie always want people to leave town. LA has 7 million people. I can stop talking to someone in that city and never see them again and they live on the next block.
Because she has very good insights in human nature. She knows that an evil person such as Deveney will be tempted to continue to harm them if she stays in the nearby geographical proximity.

Too my knowledge, because of very poor reception of this story line, this was Deveney's last appearance. You never ever found out what officially happened to her.
@Matt Staley You're cat looks similar to my cat I use to have. I loved my cat so much. I unknowingly gave her to a man I thought was a good family man and he didn't take her to be his pet. I was told her and 2 of my other cats came to a bad end. It still haunts me.

No, but I guess I can fill you in. This "Deveney" is an imposter who played Stephanie's daughter, who was bed-ridden and in need of constant care, she did not see, only hear. She was also an invalid from head to toe. Her name was Angela, the fifth of the Forrester children. Nowadays she seems to be forgotten. The real Angela got killed when his mentor Todd was busy, and broke her neck. This lookalike imposter was chosen by Todd when he didnt want to "face the music." Ultimately Steph found out, but not until she spilled the beans about Thorne shooting Ridge.

she died and came back as the devil to commit murder on a woman who saved her life, just pure evil and greed is why he drove off the cliff, he wasn't about to betray Stefanie again because she wanted more.. she best use the money she swindled by blackmail to fix her face, cant understand why they allowed her to get away with a pat on the back...
B&B should bring back Deveney Dixon and have her team up with Sheila Carter [who they can easily bring back from the dead] using the same original actresses, both of whom were excellent.
MrBillybooks the problem is that Deveney’s fight was with Stephanie. She only came back to make Steph pay. You have to remember for most of the hoax she had contact with Todd and Stephanie. Todd killed himself and she blamed Stephanie. Now that Steph is dead, there is less for her to do. It’s been the problem with Sheila’s return. Her fight with Quinn pales in comparison to the Stephanie feud.
Sheila was on B&B...she tried to become Mrs. Sheila Eric Forrester...that did not work well for her! But hopefully she does come back...but Stephanie is gone! Her storyline would be short and won't last long...unless she plans to scheme to destroy the Forresters!
Obscure corner-- that actress without the horror mask on, was she in Airplane as the Captain's wife? And if so, was she in The Towering Inferno as Robert Wagner's girlfriend? I bet someone out there has the answer.
