You’ll notice that Bluehawk’s cookie cutter bullshit of an apology to the community wasnt that dissimilar from A-Train’s apology towards Hughie. Also, while I understand where Starlights coming from, what other choice do they have but to team up with Soldier Boy? What else can they do at this point? It’s like every time they turn around, the Boys experience constant losses on all fronts whether it be because of Homelander or Victoria Neuman.
Butcher just continues to show how much of a shitbag he is though I mean he’s using soldier boy to get rid of homelander because of a personal grudge which would be fine if he wasn’t actively denying Martin justice for his family butcher may disguise it as his last option and him just doing the only thing he can but really he just seems like he only really cares about his own goals

The writing is not that good at all, So Butcher tried so hard to convince MM's so he could do this one last job one last thing, But when they all got there he just drugged him and didn't use him at all, Like why? Why was it necessary for MM to be there?
That was a good scene. I can never get onboard the A-Train. He killed his girl...he is responsible for Supersonic's murder and if not for a heart attack he might have killed Hughie and Annie. All to serve his own self interest. Oh! ....and he literally laughed off killing Robin. IMO...no redemption arch or getting back on track for this train
I actually panicked when Kimiko started singing and Frenchie called for the doctor. I thought it was something terrible with a makeup on, so to speak. Then I saw the the defibrillators sparkling and I thought, yes, something's wrong. I'm glad I thought wrong

A good ending to the episode. Two sides of the same coin. Annie and her way: moral and right. With Hughie and Butcher, they have theirs: bloody and unethical. Good episode overall.
The thing that piss me off, is that she could atleast follow them so she wouldn't work for the biggest murderer of all, Homelander and based of how moral she is, she atleast do some damage control. Ngl I was upset when I saw Nate collapsed, for me he's the only redeeming feature for A-Train's character. Chocolate limes are Kimiko's favourite in the comics. When she was unconscious in hospital, Hughie decided to help himself to one and she suddenly woke up an broke his arm. So in the show they sprinkled some of these aspects in different ways, but it's fun to know the origin of it. So the other take away I got from the Countess/Soldier Boy scene, she never loved him, just as Mallory suggested that women don't like him, or just fear him. I seem to get the sense that Soldier Boy has been altered from the decades of experimentation. So being that the show has been renewed for a Season 4, I don't expect Homelander to die this season. He may get injured/depowered from his encounter with Soldier Boy, I guess it's a good thing he runs Vought now, so as long as he survives, he has the resources to restore his abilities. Next episode is #6, which in previous seasons seems to be one of the wackier ones. But it also has been widely known for this season to adapt a storyline from the source material no one thought they'd dare attempt, so I'm looking forward to the next one

I think either Kripke or Jensen explained the Gunpowder thing. Pretty sure the implication of what he did to Gunpowder was true in the initial script, but Jensen refused to do it and they changed it to hazing.

You guys need to turn on the subtitles, they won't show you automatically subtitles for Sign language and foreign languages, you need to turn on the subtitles then only you'll see all of it, you guys will miss out on many things otherwise
I love this season so far. I kind of felt for solider boy. Jensen's acting was amazing. He always knocks it out of the park, if you guys have never seen supernatural you guys should consider watching and reacting to that show. It's am awesome show. I can't wait to see more of solider boy unfold

It's really messed up that Homelander and Soldier Boy were in relationships that they believed to be genuine, just to find out that the relationships were built on the lie that the partners weren't afraid of them. For Homelander, it even happened with his relationship with Stillwell, so it's tragic to find out that even his relationship with Meave was NEVER genuine despite him believing otherwise.
I don't think so. We haven't seen him do anything evil yet. Also, Homelander is a psychopath, but Soldier Boy has real emotions. His eyes were tearing up when his old girlfriend said she never loved him. The only people we've seen him kill so far were accidents, because he can't control this new power yet. I think Soldier Boy was a legit hero who wanted to do the right thing. He's probably an asshole by modern standards since he was born in the 1920s though. She said his old team all hated him, but we don't really know why. It's a bold assumption to assume he's as bad as Homelander. We have no evidence of this.

To be fair, most movies and shows hard code subtitles for foreign/sign language into the video. The way the Boys handles it isn’t very common practice in my experience.
Hughie is the least aware boyfriend ever. I hate his incompetence. He is written to be less able than is believable. I am at the point of declaring "Shenanigans". No one able to act as he does is that stupid. This looks like romantic ineptitude in order to force conflict. Hughie is not a stupid character. His inability to share is somewhat believable. Avoidance cuts both ways. Don't share *and* don't act. The writers want to have their cake and eat it too.
I think the Russians were the pawns in this ordeal. I think the one who sold out Soldier Boy was Stan. Essentially telling them they could create their own version of Soldier Boy and Stan told them how to beat him. I would not be shocked in the least bit if we learn that Homelander is the son of Soldier Boy (yes, yes, lab creation) or a clone type creation derived from SB.
I am on board with S3, but my main issue with this season in general is easily the relationship drama between hughie and starlight. It just feels like filler and it doesn´t add up that much. The only relationship that i care is about Kimiko and Frenchie. Also, the sex scene between Butcher and Maeve was out of leftfield. Not that i didn´t consider it, but it doesn´t come across as a necessary means to an end. Besides those two things, i am enjoying it and i have a theory that it might be like a great buildup S3 to a finale in S4, kinda like Infinity War and Endgame. It´s an interesting thought.
I haven't read the comic books but I have a feeling that Soldier boy isn't going to be the bad guy. I think he's gonna be an ally. From what we've seen so far, he really doesn't seem like a bad person. He comes off a little amateurish but not a bad person. Plus Jensen Ackles usually always plays the good guy. I don't think I've ever seen him portray as a bad guy.
Frenchie and Kimiko are cute. Hope they have a happy ending. And soldier boy vs homelander should be interesting. Rooting for soldier boy and it looks like he can take him. And I ship Butcher and Maeve.
Annie should understand better than anyone that homelander can and will murder the world so he has to go by any means. Not a big fan of the writing in this episode. Made annie seem really dull

But I could totally see them pulling some lame shit like that for a cliffhanger, especially with Homelander's well-documented daddy issues. Just give us the damn Soldier Boy vs Homelander fight we all wanna see!

Chocolate limes are Kimiko's favourite in the comics. When she was unconscious in hospital, Hughie decided to help himself to one and she suddenly woke up an broke his arm. So in the show they sprinkled some of these aspects in different ways, but it's fun to know the origin of it.
So the other take away I got from the Countess/Soldier Boy scene, she never loved him, just as Mallory suggested that women don't like him, or just fear him.
I seem to get the sense that Soldier Boy has been altered from the decades of experimentation. So being that the show has been renewed for a Season 4, I don't expect Homelander to die this season. He may get injured/depowered from his encounter with Soldier Boy, I guess it's a good thing he runs Vought now, so as long as he survives, he has the resources to restore his abilities.
Next episode is #6, which in previous seasons seems to be one of the wackier ones. But it also has been widely known for this season to adapt a storyline from the source material no one thought they'd dare attempt, so I'm looking forward to the next one

Even gunpowder said it was hazing that went too far. Plus the way he killed everyone in the camp with the turret gun I would’ve slapped him around as well.
I think either Kripke or Jensen explained the Gunpowder thing. Pretty sure the implication of what he did to Gunpowder was true in the initial script, but Jensen refused to do it and they changed it to hazing.

It's really messed up that Homelander and Soldier Boy were in relationships that they believed to be genuine, just to find out that the relationships were built on the lie that the partners weren't afraid of them. For Homelander, it even happened with his relationship with Stillwell, so it's tragic to find out that even his relationship with Meave was NEVER genuine despite him believing otherwise.

I don't think so. We haven't seen him do anything evil yet. Also, Homelander is a psychopath, but Soldier Boy has real emotions. His eyes were tearing up when his old girlfriend said she never loved him. The only people we've seen him kill so far were accidents, because he can't control this new power yet. I think Soldier Boy was a legit hero who wanted to do the right thing. He's probably an asshole by modern standards since he was born in the 1920s though.
She said his old team all hated him, but we don't really know why. It's a bold assumption to assume he's as bad as Homelander. We have no evidence of this.

To be fair, most movies and shows hard code subtitles for foreign/sign language into the video. The way the Boys handles it isn’t very common practice in my experience.

I think the Russians were the pawns in this ordeal. I think the one who sold out Soldier Boy was Stan. Essentially telling them they could create their own version of Soldier Boy and Stan told them how to beat him. I would not be shocked in the least bit if we learn that Homelander is the son of Soldier Boy (yes, yes, lab creation) or a clone type creation derived from SB.
Maybe crimson helped Russians to get soldier boy on stan's order. And maybe stan is a supe and brother of Black Noir.

I am on board with S3, but my main issue with this season in general is easily the relationship drama between hughie and starlight. It just feels like filler and it doesn´t add up that much. The only relationship that i care is about Kimiko and Frenchie. Also, the sex scene between Butcher and Maeve was out of leftfield. Not that i didn´t consider it, but it doesn´t come across as a necessary means to an end. Besides those two things, i am enjoying it and i have a theory that it might be like a great buildup S3 to a finale in S4, kinda like Infinity War and Endgame. It´s an interesting thought.
Let's see who side takes Black Noir with Homelander or Soldier Boy. Unless it's not really him since they said he was in a comma or was vegetable.
I haven't read the comic books but I have a feeling that Soldier boy isn't going to be the bad guy. I think he's gonna be an ally. From what we've seen so far, he really doesn't seem like a bad person. He comes off a little amateurish but not a bad person. Plus Jensen Ackles usually always plays the good guy. I don't think I've ever seen him portray as a bad guy.

I really, Really, REALLY hope they don't pull some shit in the finale where Soldier Boy is about to kill Homelander and it gets revealed that he's actually Homelander's "father" with his supe DNA. They aren't related in the comics but they don't really follow much of what the comics did anyway. But I could totally see them pulling some lame shit like that for a cliffhanger, especially with Homelander's well-documented daddy issues.
