Disagree about the music. Just knowing that the team is composed of both the protagonist and the antagonist is enough for me to know that there weren't really any stakes to being with as soon as it was their turn to play. If anything, it actually heightened the suspense for me when 001 started fumbling and the cheery music stopped. It's a reminder to the audience and the players, who were getting way too into the games with all the cheering and positivity, that this is still a life or death situation so I think the music was a good choice. The music used in the first part of the ep is actually an iconic track back in the 80s used during the olympics or something. So it's heavily played during sportsdays etc. even to this day. So totally get it if you find it different from the overall music of the series since it's more of nostalgic and symbolic. But given the game's track-like setup, the music choice makes sense

my two cents (but obviously we dont know for sure): i feel like dae-so (388) didn’t necessarily *lie* about being a marine, but rather that it’s an experience he doesn’t like to think about. he seemed uncomfortable with it being brought up further in detail- and maybe it’d been forced upon him with the whole thing of his father wanting him to do it to be more of a man; him knowing the ‘girly’ game best, having four sisters, and seeming - to me - quite a kinder, gentler person than toxic masculinity allows. he even seemed uncomfortable when another character said his father was a great man. there’s another scene in the last episode that solidifies it all for me sorry for the ramble LMAO, i just find it interesting we only have hints and small details to go off for a lot of our characters this season. it’s really fun to theorize
001 throws with his right to fail and with his left hand to succeed. He is left handed he shot his brother with left hand and drinks with it in previous episodes.

Naw the music/song is great! It was introduced in 1988 the only time the Summer Olympics were held in Seoul. Also revealed in season 1, the first Squid Game started in 1988, so it ties in. Above all the song is super nostalgic
Gotta remember that, while subtle, he games are rigged in a way to make the players more inclined to continue. As Ange mentioned the way that the mini game stuff was easy and then they would load a difficult one right after, but additionally you have to look at what the organizers did, for instance they took everyone’s stuff but left Thanos with his drugs, something that would only impede the group or lead to more deaths.
literally felt dizzy when i saw them skip over that whole section. you never know where and when to expect a transphobe, though i'd say there were signs with these two.
Sorry but like many people here, I disagree with your comments on the music. It's the iconic theme song from 1988 Seoul Olympics, it's the memory of many Koreans and used in many sports events up until this day. This game is sports event type which taken place on tracks, and the song it's very uplifting and cheering, so its made for this moment and situation . But I dont blame you cuz of culture difference.
2:26 I think you were talking over it, but his mum had just told him to imagine that the target was the face of the guy that scammed him and put him in debt. 5:34 I spent this entire sequence (until they showed the other team, anyway) thinking that the cheering was going to be interrupted by gunfire because the other team hadn't made it. This show does tension so incredibly well. 21:37 It's so hard to tell who's going to die when EVERYONE is putting up death flags left and right!
But that music is amazing 🥺 as a k-culture fan for a long long time now, that song is considered iconic/legendary in korea so i understand if it wasnt to your taste lol but if you have a background at all, you would understand why that song was used
It's funny watching this back and seeing some of the small details that gave away 001. Like mate being left handed yet trying badly to use his right hand to throw the spinning top.
2:53 I believe you start out picking them all up 1 at a time, then 2, then 3, then 4, then flip all 5 onto the back of your hand, then catch all 5 at once.
My take on the music on this episode seems to evoke 001 and 456's getting so into the game (infectiously). The stakes were definitely disregarded because they both know the outcomes and it doesnt really matter. But ultimately, the great irony and juxtaposition of it. And for this episode, 001 looks so into the games for sure. There is no risk for him for them being the last team to play. Soldiers could kill everyone else but him.
the last song is also rlly nostalgic, it was a rlly popular song back in the day which kind of goes along w the theme of childhood games and the other “retro” aspects of them
Was such a good idea adding it in first season where they actually left the games and then went back to their normal lives and then came back to the games, so I don’t know why gihun is expecting them to leave lol, as he knows how bad the life is when u leave the games, and he came back too lol knowing they die.

@@goodguysolid6398 he also said before that he wasn't a fan of the music in the episode, and described it as cringe, so I think it's fair to say he disliked the song.
6:49 The song here is a very famous song in Korea from 1980 to 1990. It's a game that often comes out in sports events, competitions, and sports events. The game I play now is actually a game that I often play at elementary school sports events. I am a Korean who thinks the song here is very, very appropriate. I don't understand your opinion.
Why wouldn’t the frontman just let the time run out ? Then he can kill gi hun and everyone else on the team ? And then he can be “killed” last and survive without a problem, I know we wouldn’t have more episodes but still makes sense
Because he wanted to put pressure on his teammates. Since he also wants gi hun to survive so that he can prove a point to him he didn't want to lose the game. If he really wanted to kill gi hun he would have done so a long time ago.
I think it will be fun if you guys actually try to play one of the mini game!! (or try all if that's possible) you know, for special occasion or just for the sake try something new! ;)
When i watch this episode, the music is actually making me feel like im there cheering them, i felt so hype with that music, so i have to disagree with your take
3:10 this game has 5 phases. U have to pick one stone while throw up one stone into the air. After picking all the 4 stones, throw them to table and do the same thing but pick 2 stones at a time. Crazy how many reactions of this episode don't show thanos sticking up for min su. He has some likeable moments even if he is nuts 😭🤣
he didnt do it out of goodness of his heart, he was simply simping for 380 and wanted to impress her by pretending to be chivalrious
Why do people complain? They make money from posting full reactions on Paidtreon and post much shorter ones here. Figure it out.
Theyre gamblers, they gamble with their lives now. One more game is like one more spin, one more bet. Always one more.
Frontman having his Reiner moment of identity crisis 😭
2:26 I think you were talking over it, but his mum had just told him to imagine that the target was the face of the guy that scammed him and put him in debt.
5:34 I spent this entire sequence (until they showed the other team, anyway) thinking that the cheering was going to be interrupted by gunfire because the other team hadn't made it. This show does tension so incredibly well.
21:37 It's so hard to tell who's going to die when EVERYONE is putting up death flags left and right!
Damn, there should have been a counter how many times C&A misread/misunderstood the subtitles just in this episode alone😂😂😂😂
Why am I only finding out that people from other countries don't play jackstone (or some variation of it) 😭 Thought it was a universal children's game
ikr. we even have more pieces to catch in jackstone too 😂
When I was a kid, I played Jacks with a little rubber ball.
Carlie's humour is top notch 😂 made me laugh a lot this video
2:32 if you throw it overhand and you f up. you know where the stone will go? far.
idk if you already get this a lot but carlie really reminds me of dakota johnson
Same
2:53 I believe you start out picking them all up 1 at a time, then 2, then 3, then 4, then flip all 5 onto the back of your hand, then catch all 5 at once.
8:56 hahaha... the frustration 😂✌... first time seeing Carlie like that
My take on the music on this episode seems to evoke 001 and 456's getting so into the game (infectiously). The stakes were definitely disregarded because they both know the outcomes and it doesnt really matter. But ultimately, the great irony and juxtaposition of it. And for this episode, 001 looks so into the games for sure. There is no risk for him for them being the last team to play. Soldiers could kill everyone else but him.
the last song is also rlly nostalgic, it was a rlly popular song back in the day which kind of goes along w the theme of childhood games and the other “retro” aspects of them
the music is fantastic! haha
I love it haha
You know its a banger vid when Carlie and Ange uploads
fun fact: when daeho was doing the gonggi, the director actually had a professional gonggi player playing for him
Was such a good idea adding it in first season where they actually left the games and then went back to their normal lives and then came back to the games, so I don’t know why gihun is expecting them to leave lol, as he knows how bad the life is when u leave the games, and he came back too lol knowing they die.
The music in the mini game is actually the most famous cheering song in Korea. but i agree with your opinion.
The son and daughter duo are still alive ❤❤❤❤
I'm glad
I think this mingle game is interesting as it involves quick thinking
all of those games are easy for asians. we play those types of games as a kid idfferent varieties but are somewhat the same.
Are you Korean?
7:39 even the frontman was shocked 😂
They used a Gonggi master for that scene. He's just a good actor.
002 joke is amazing, I am going to steal it, 🙏🏻
1:35 where did buoyancy come from😭😭 that happens in water
Great commentary! BTW... Carly is so beautiful! But also, Ange is quite a handsome guy..in a very straight way... maybe LOL
he use his right hand for the game spinning top in the two first shots and in the last one use his left arm he did it on purpose
The guy is a Marine, you misinterpreted the convo, his dad forced him to go the army to be more manly where his mum didn't want him to go
He had no choice. Military service is mandatory for men in Korea.
20:24 Bro I thought smthings going off in my buliding lol 🤣🤣
When the circle workers are being so cute with the Os and Xs (so many youtube and insta edits of people captioning them as pookie-coded). Haha.
Ange totally needs to cover the song that play's during Gi-hun's team run of the six-legged race. What a banger.
He hated the song lol 😂
Did you not watch the video?
@evildorito He never said he disliked the song, why are you acting like a know it all when you are so greatly mistaken. Ange just said that it didn't fit in the episode/context/show.
@evildorito commented before watching, my bad, haha
@@goodguysolid6398 he also said before that he wasn't a fan of the music in the episode, and described it as cringe, so I think it's fair to say he disliked the song.
6:49 The song here is a very famous song in Korea from 1980 to 1990. It's a game that often comes out in sports events, competitions, and sports events.
The game I play now is actually a game that I often play at elementary school sports events.
I am a Korean who thinks the song here is very, very appropriate.
I don't understand your opinion.
the words they say when counting are "hana" "deul" (dool)... that's "1" "2"
Ange calling daeho fake marine now I will be so mad if he does that in the gun eps😭
001 is a left handed btw
i just got done watching the last episode a literal second ago ! Couldn’t wait for the this upload , big W guyss
So the dance move thanos was doing at the end there? watch any "bang bang bang" performance by bigbang 🙂
There gonna cry next episode :)
It's not about eliminating Gi-hun, it's about teaching him a valuable lesson: Don't mess with Squid Game.
Can we see a reaction to the show called happiness ik y’all would love it it’s a Korean zombie film def up there with all of us are dead and stuff
is there a place where we can recommend what to watch?
I think it will be fun if you guys actually try to play one of the mini game!! (or try all if that's possible) you know, for special occasion or just for the sake try something new! ;)
I need them to react to sweet home
Hey Ange and Carlie how do you edit your videos ?
You guys are so cute✝️👑🥺GOD BLESS YOU CARLIE AND ANGE AND EVERYONE READING THIS COMMENT, AND EVERYONES FAMILY!!!!!✝️👑✝️💝💝✝️👑✝️
The music wasn't supposed to fit! Its irony simply put happy music with horrific games/end results, its psychotic thats the point!
You don't know much about Korea...
It's a pity as a Korean at the same time as I'm a fan who likes you two.
When i watch this episode, the music is actually making me feel like im there cheering them, i felt so hype with that music, so i have to disagree with your take
since front man lost wife and child does he save pregnant women?
pls guys react to Welcome to Noxus, a new League cinematic i think you're gonna like it! and I'd love to watch your reaction, you're the best:)
This ep stressed me out with the wasted time 😭 celebrate after the end lines is all I thought of
3:10 this game has 5 phases. U have to pick one stone while throw up one stone into the air. After picking all the 4 stones, throw them to table and do the same thing but pick 2 stones at a time. Next is 3 stones. And next is 4 stones. Lastly, u have to put 5 stones on top of ur hand and catch it all.
why does ponytail need the money?
Frontman good on left hand
It’s his first time watching your reaction to squid games never watched the show. My brother-in-law watches in a lot

5:11 LMAO bro forget his real job
Fun fact 45.6 billion won is 30 million USD
Is Oh Young IL (front man) really the son of Oh IL Nam? 😂the obvious thing really if he really is.
I don't think 001 ever said his surname was Oh?
@msl1689 yes. He does.
No cause his real name is In-ho and his b-date is Feb 2 and not Oct like Il-nam said his son was in episode 6.
@jamslam5641 I know his name is In ho in season 1 but they said he's a stepbrother in season 2, So what if the birthday change too when Jun ho's mom adopted him?
"what was he even talking about?" ? Are you guys even trying to pay attention?
Yall rly need to add the reactions to Hyun Ju's scenes 😭
is mother gonna lose son and save pregnant women?
POOKIES UPLOADED
Watch Alice in Borderland
No. It's just a cheap copycat.
@jamslam5641 bruh Alice in Borderland came first
And it's better
How are some comments from a week ago when this was just uploaded? Anyway, love Carlie’s laugh when Ange said the dakkji flipped cuz of bouyancy. 😂 that was absolutely ridiculous 😂
