- In this Physics (Mechanics) video lecture in Hindi for class 11 we explained and proved the perpendicular axis theorem for moment of inertia. The derivation or the proof of the formula is very simple. The perpendicular axis theorem states that the moment of inertia of a thin planer body about an axis perpendicular to the plane is the sum of the moment of inertias of the same body about axes on the plane and perpendicular to each other and intersecting on a common point.
