Biggest qualm with this anime was the dude with like a hand that negates acceleration. How in the fuck he suddenly block light speed. He's the clumbsiest and uncoordinated fuck in the show.
It's not really like that. What ruins the show is that it is poorly adapted from the light novel. First .Touma is not a human, that's just an illusion he wants to believe . His name meaning the one who purifies gods and kills demons is a small proof of this. he has an amazing physique after so much shit he's been through. He literally spent his childhood running and fighting to survive. that's why he learns tactics of a street fighter, he learned to bluff, use the place around him, etc . And it's not just him, Tsuchimikado, Hamazura, Frenda, Seria etc are also like that, that's because they are lv0 without any power but nothing prevents them from trying to be strong through other things like martial arts, magic, technology etc. Second, Touma doesn't blocks the speed of light, he nullifies the reality distortion and returns things to the pure world where there is nothing supernatural/divine. Third, your nullification ability is nothing more than a seal to your true power. And yet she is not invincible, she couldn't nullify Accelerator's black wings in the 2nd fight, she couldn't nullify Misaka 5.3's black ball, she couldn't nullify Coronzo's flaming sword etc. fourth. Touma has precognition and was able to disable a Railgun that has 3x the speed of sound, but he cannot keep up with the supersonic speed of saint level mages and therefore always loses to them. Fifth. Acceletator never moved at the speed of light, Novel cites that Accelerator cannot see and process even normal speed in this part of the series. Accelerator would also lose to saint level mages because of this. And Even throwing things like stones at the speed of light by logic they would evaporate.
