I remember going bluegrass festival to bluegrass festival as a kid cause my dad was in a bluegrass band and I swear every fifty yards you could walk around the camps and there'd be another band playing another song.
Hey Joe, Thanks for listening. I don't know who the fiddle or mandolin player were. Me and my Granddaughter just happened to walk in the room where they were jamming and they were kind enough to let her sing one with them. They were really good. Maybe someone will chime in and let us know.
Hi Joe. I believe the fiddler is Ray Cossin. He's a young guy from West Virginia and plays regularly with Johnny Staats and the Delivery Boys. I believe Ray was one of Johnny's students on the fiddle, who got so good at the fiddle that Johnny brought him on to play full time with his band. Johnny's banjo player, Butch, was my teacher for several years. I believe Ray plays some with the Clay Hess band... maybe full time now.
Ron blocks playing is so smooth and he's one of the best but I prefer the up and coming John Meyer for his style of playing. He's like Earl Scruggs on steroids.
Lovely! What a privilege having such talented musicians playing and singing in your home.
This is at SPBGMA in Nashville
Love to hear much more volume for the young girl singing. It’s a beautiful song. Thank you!
You mean give her a microphone! 🙂
Killer fiddle! Surprisingly in tune for a SPIGMA jam lol!
well done i noticed my foot was stomping along with it such a classic and great job to everyone
Nice rendition of great song written by Wayne Taylor of Blue Highway that has become a standard in bluegrass jams everywhere.
What I like about the Bluegrass crowd is anytime there's room enough to form a loose circle, they're ready make some music.

Great job on the vocals. Taylor sounds like a pro!
+eddiehoyle Thanks a lot Eddie. Hope to get to pick with you at the Everetts next week.
Love these jams. Very nice violin. The singer was nice, a bit soft, but it works well in this tune.
Great vid to confirm the need for an upright bass.............
It does have great bass if you listen with head phones.
Who is that terrific fiddle player?
Who's the fat chick?
@@lindseywalker6925 She left before they took the video.
@@lindseywalker6925 👎🏻 for your stupid comment.
Taylor Who? She’s great
it ok they need to give her a mic cant harley hear her
1,5,4,5,1 is chord progression I’m assuming
Followed by 2m, 3m, 4, 5, 1
Even pros noodle...Mark Land would've had something to say about that! xD
She needs a mic!
I wish that the Lady who is singing had a mic, because the banjo is totally drowning Her out.
What song is this?
+Logan Lang Lonesome Pines. Thanks for Listening.
Hey Gary, who is that fiddler? That is a stunningly beautiful break. Everyone is terrific in this video! Thanks for posting!

Thanks Gary. He had to be a pro. That was a totally professional break.

Ron Stewart > John Meyer xD
John Meyer is very solid but he tends to roll down the neck all the time even over others breaks.
Ron Block head, shoulders, torso above.
(no offense Mr. Mayer- great player in his own right)
