    The video is talking about the Lw of Conservation of mass which basically tells us that mass can not change( increase or decrease) in an enclosed space. For example, let's say we put baking soda inside a balloon and put that balloon over a flask that already had vinegar inside. When the baking soda falls and creates a reaction with the vinegar there will be little to no decrease or increase in mass as the atoms are not able to disperse. The only reason the mass can change is if the atoms have dispersed but in an enclosed space there is no room for the atoms disperse, hence the reason for the lack of change in mass. I may be wrong but that is what I got from the video also the example is not provided in the video, it is an experiment that my school used to teach us this phenomenon so you may not want to use that! Hope this helps!

      Yeah he doesn't spell out the part about what he means about man is being energy and matter. This is a very irritating bad habit whatever words you use what you need to say is that depending upon the arrangement it's going to change its weight. As some of the mass turns into energy the amount of mass that is attracted gravitationally to the Earth is reduced. Now I understand that some people believe that if this container prevents a infrared or just flight from getting out then the light will attract the Box to the Earth the heat in there.
      In other words this is hard for people to understand because the narrator has a script that accidentally or deliberately tries to keep this fact Secret. Historically the loss of mass that happens when you freeze water for example has been hidden from late Observers buy the expansion of the water into ice explaining why it floats. It would float even if it took up the same amount of space or slightly less. Liquid water has added weight per molecule because of the Heat that you have to add to ice to make it liquid. The weight of energy is of course easily solved for by dividing the equation Buy what's the variable for energy to remove it from the left side and then multiplying by m which replaces that e for energy with the m for Mass. So that means that on the right side of the equation you have M squared multiplied times c squared the speed of light and then of course you have to know what the units are as someone recently did the math for to prove what I am saying to be false but only in his mind.

    You are forgetting the biggest question. What caused the big bang? If matter and energy can't be created, how did nothing explode into everything?

    • @Markus9705
      @Markus9705 9 ปีที่แล้ว +37

      Nothing exploded, and that the thing. The Big Bang is not an explosion of matter moving outward to fill an empty universe. Instead, space itself expands with time everywhere and increases the physical distance between two comoving points. In other words, the Big Bang is not an explosion in space, but rather an expansion of space.

    • @levishu991
      @levishu991 9 ปีที่แล้ว +30

      No shit sherlock! The big bang is more accurately described as "the everywhere stretch". I'm saying If matter and energy can't be created, then what caused all that energy to come into existance?

    • @Markus9705
      @Markus9705 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Levshu Whovian The total amount of the Universe is actually zero, so no energy was ever need to "come into existence". There's a thing called negative energy, you know. This theory, the Zero-energy universe theory, states that the total energy in Universe is actually counteracted with negative potential energy. Since potential energy always is negative, it cancels out the positive energy.

    • @levishu991
      @levishu991 9 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      Do you have evidence that this "negative energy universe" exists? or is it just another thing someone made up to try to make sense of the contradicting nature of out universe? Also, what caused our universe to come into existence along with the negative energy to counteract it? or do objects at rest tend to stay at rest unless they happen to be a universe, in which case all bets are off.

    • @Markus9705
      @Markus9705 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Levshu Whovian Really, "energy" itself does not really exist at all, but is rather the integral of the force with respect to the distance which the force acts.

    There is an incorrect statement here: "The energy we supplied is stored in the bonds of the atoms". Bonds actually form by releasing energy. Of course the entropic part gives rise to the necessity of adding energy to form more complex 'ordered' molecules like glucose. At least I think so.
    Molecules like ATP are 'high energy' substances only because upon breaking that molecule even more strongly bonded molecules like inorganic phosphate or glucose-phosphate are formed where the energy released is greater than that released when ATP itself formed. So to make ATP out of ADP and a phosphate, it takes more energy to break one P-O bond from the phosphate than the energy released when that phosphate bonds with ADP to make ATP. So overall, some energy went into making ATP and so technically it is storing energy by virtue of difference.

    A debate for the law of conservation of mass/ energy ,I watched a video about these laws in you tube and I asked to him :
    Hello professor , can I ask you a simple question : imagine if you put a quantity( amount) of water in a glass ( simple glass) , can you put this water in another glass ( I mean : to the extent of 100% of quantity of water ) , can you carry this amount of water( 100% of amount) in another glass ( to put all quantity of water in another glass( without losing any drop or molecule of water during the transportation) , can you do that ?
    I think If you would try it you wouldn't, if you do that then your law( or equation) would be correct. Same thing happens when water condenses, is impossible to transport( to be transported)all amount of water ( all molecules) during the cycle of condensation,( during the rain formation ),it mean : the matter is losing during the cycles
    verify the physics pls,
    Someone reply to me :
    You need to distinguish between water being left behind and disappearing completely. As you transfer water from one glass to another you leave some behind so the original glass is wet , none of the water actually "dissapears"- matter is conserved . Same with the water cycle,, some water evaporates from the sea, but most remain as sea, some condenses as clouds, but some will remain as vapor ( gas) , some of the cloud will fall as rain but some remains as cloud- and so on. It's all there all the time
    Another ( someone) replied to me :
    That's incredible difficult, but you should know that the water you put in the glass will not go away. All of the contents in the first glass of water cannot be destroyed and the water cannot create any more water. It may change state( physically to ice or water vapour) but none of it will vanish, so technically it is possible to do this transfer a, and the law of conservation of mass is still correct.
    My rocket 🚀 reply was :
    My intention was to say : after a cycle the matter isn't turning back( at the extent of 100% )( all quantity, all molecules ,)
    By the way that is happening to the energy too, not only the matter is not turning back,but even the energy isn't turning back too ( as the matter isn't turning back too, so even the law of conservation of energy is not correct,
    These laws are atheists's laws, they are trying to say : we are eternal ,but that is not true.
    We're losing, friend ,matter is losing ,energy is losing,( everything is disappearing vanishing ,is losing)
    Were separating from energy,that is my law,
    Question : why energy is separating from the matter ? For example : sun is losing energy( heat or light ) where is going this energy ?! Are you saying : the energy will turn back ,it will conserve back into the matter ?; I doubt on it
    When I say : energy is losing I mean : is disappearing( vanishing) from our dimension ( our world)
    I can say another thing : if you transfer an amount of energy to another object ( from a battery to another) ,this energy will lose ( vanish ,disappear) anyway ,even you can transfer all energy ( all enectrons ,all atoms) ,it will lose (vanish) again ,or disappear( by casuality, spontaneously)
    The meaning is : you( all of you ) can conserve nothing ,nothing can be conserved ,that is my law,
    For example : if you transfer energy from a battery to another battery ( from a power bank to a phone), the phone will lose its energy after four(teen)
    days ( even if you wouldn't use it ), with other words : energy will separate from matter( from battery), like the sun 's energy,it is separating from it( the sun). Everything is separating ,that's my law.
    I have made a post in f book about this case ,against atheists ,with simply words the point is : the matter and energy are joined together,question is : who joined them ( it) ?! For example : sun ,sun is made by energy and matter , the sun is losing energy ( heat , light ) , it mean : it was made by two things : energy and matter ,it was joined together ,question is : who joined together them ? There were a high intelligence energy who joined( welded ) them ,( God)

    • @bcubed72
      @bcubed72 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The laws of physics describe the physical universe. You're asking a question about "before the physical universe existed." (And, also, "before time existed.") Physics won't help; religion might help with the WHY, but not the HOW.

    • @ejerfurth8175
      @ejerfurth8175 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      bcubed72 Well, time isn't really a thing it is more like a measurement created by man to measure entropy. That was what Einstein proved with his theory of relativity. But I see what you are saying. Though I do have another question. If there were no natural laws how did the Big Bang bang (I know it wasn't a real explosion but like how were the quarks attracted to each other and how was there only a set amount of energy in the universe). In my mind the only way something like this would obey the laws of nature would have to be if a infinite source of energy existed out side our universe ( it would have to be outside because according to the first law of thermodynamics if energy exists than it must of come from an outside source.) But thank you for replying. I have had these questions for years.

    Both mass and energy can be created and destroyed in an isolated system. However, the total amount of the energy, plus the correspondent energy of the rest mass of particles in the system, is constant.
    Since when did "mass" became synonymous with "matter and energy"? All matter has mass, but all forms of energy haven't a propriety of mass, including but not limited to gauge bosons, the photon and the gluon. Thus, the mass in a system constantly changes, since blackbody radiation applies to all things hotter than zero Kelvins. If light is produced, than mass is lost, because photons have no mass. However, the _momentum_ in an isolated system is always conversed, except for very local events in quantum mechanics where the law of conservation of momentum actually is broken. However, these small fluctuations zeroes each other out, so overall, the momentum is conserved.
    And since when did the Big Bang became a literal "bang"? The Big Bang wasn't an explosion of matter into already existing space, but the very beginning of the expansion of spacetime itself.

      ***** At rest mass?

    • @Markus9705
      @Markus9705 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** No. Energy is mass times length squared divided by times squared. Mass is a fundamental physical quantity itself. You can easily see this if you consider the SI units for mass versus energy. Mass is measured the base unit kilogram but energy is measured in the derived unit Joule.

      Gluons, photons, etc in a isolated system can contribute to the mass of the system itself, even if they don't have mass themselves..
      An isolated system by definition does not give off black body radiation, neither does it absorb any (if it did it would be a closed system, not an isolated one). Think of it as a white body rather than a black body

      Mass is defined as
      A. Amount of gravitational influence of an object
      B. Amount of momentum of object (for given velocity)
      Both of which "massless" particles posses a non zero amount of.
