In the Southeast huh? FSU is one of the most prominent sports programs in the country. You should lose your right to do ACC podcasts after that comment.
No. These guys are on point. If the B1G decides to expand again, it will be for North Carolina and Virginia. Outside of those two the only other school the B1G would consider is Notre Dame. I don't know what the SEC is thinking but the B1G definitely only wants those 3 schools.
@@ron6083lol no fsu brings the most viewership which equals money in todays world. Fsu brings in 3-4 games what it takes uva or unc to bring in an entire year!! 😂🤦🏼♂️
@SurferRC that's why I say people are clueless. It's not about footprints and viewership, it's about being a part of an elite, yet exclusive group of Research and development schools called the Association of American Universities or AAU for short. These schools recieve government funding, and with the development and research money they get, it dwarfs tv contract money, and it's shared with the rest of the conference m members. Which is why the likes of an Indiana a Northwestern, etc. won't be getting kicked out of the B1G anytime soon, which brings me to my main point: other than the academics, the B1G requires two things to join the conference. 1) each school must have a hospital on the campus (Nebraska did have one, lost it, and are in the process of getting another one), 2) they MUST be an AAU member. So what's the point? The point is this is why the B1G wants North Carolina and Virginia because they are AAU. And for that reason even if B1G schools wanted FSU and Clemson to join, they wouldn't be able to because neither FSU and Clemson are not AAU members.
Most likely outcome: 2027 Phase 1 of the ESPN Super League w/ unequal revenue sharing: - Florida State - Clemson - Miami - North Carolina - Virginia - Stanford - Cal - Utah - Arizona State - Colorado
Does anyone else think that the southeast won't be as welcoming to a Big 10 FSU or Clemson as those schools think? IMHO FSU and Clemson will be swimming against a stronger current against FLA, USC, Auburn etc. that they are now.
Guys, you just don't get it and are so full of hot air! It's not whether SEC or Big 10 wants FSU or Clemson, it's how much ESPN and FOX bid for FSU and Clemson! ESPN and FOX will determine how much FSU And Clemson means to them in terms of "viewership" translating into $$$s. ESPN and FOX will then sell FSU and Clemson to their respective conferences. The conferences will take them because ESPN and FOX are paying the bills!!
Lots of triggered malcontents so mad at the host for having opinions. It's crazy there are people trading on speculation and the rumors that they like while disregarding what they don't like.
ESPN doesn’t have the money or doesn’t want to spend more money to expand the SEC beyond Texas and Oklahoma. Current teams provide enough TV content…this is all about what ESPN wants. Don’t think it’s that bad for FSU and Clemson to take a partial share of the TV contract from the BIG 10 until their next contract in 2030. Oregon and Washington are both getting half shares to join. Makes sense when its projected that each team will likely get 100 mil per season when they negotiate a new contract from Fox and the other TV partners
You realize it's the school Presidents who vote on expansion, right? How is it going to look when the four west coast schools vote no on FSU? The optics wouldn't be good at all.
Either way FSU will eventually get full share. Taking a cut temporarily like Oregon did would help bring in FSU sooner along with more acc schools for FSU to play such as Miami and ND sooner rather than later.
Nonsense the b1g has never taken a team on as full member and it would piss off the latest adds for them to get a full share, if true then it’s something the sec and big12 would benefit from
FSU wouldn't be pushing to leave the ACC unless they knew they: 1) Had a landing spot in either the SEC or BIG and 2) They were getting a full share where they landed. So, IF they go to the BIG i think they will get the full share just like USC and UCLA did when they joined.
I don't like the ideal of jersey patches, as I would rather watch a commercial. Like i care about what Fat Joe says, as this is the same man that tried to back a bill to prevent law enforcement from using an artist's lyrics against them in court.
Seminole Nation hates Disney, the SEC, College Gameday, and the College Football Playoff Committee. We are joining the B1G. We do not care what you people think or say. We are getting a full share. Period, bank on that. Go Noles --------;;--->
As a Clemson Fan I am glad FSU took the lead on this. Clemson culturally might fit better with the SEC but the money is better in the B10. Also, Clemson owns Ohio State. They will be immediately in the top 5 teams in the B10. Same for FSU. Lots of bottom feeders there. Even in the SEC both Clemson and FSU would be above 500 easily.
I don't think it's B1G or bust for FSU and Clemson. It just means that the B1G and SEC don't have these schools equally high on their priority lists. Being that the B1G really wants FSU, that still gives them leverage to get a full share. I mean at the end of the day FSU was never going to get anything more than what any other school would get from either conference. It's either full share or partial share. And a forgivable loan for travel costs. That's little more than either the USC deal or Washington deal. There are no demands if you only have two options.
Did you troll yourself? 7th & They Prefer Florida? I prefer to watch FsU to be honest. But yet SEC doesn’t want FSu . It’s just a fact, Why not accept the Truth? If I’m FSu I go Somewhere else & let SEC regret it
Why would they when your members are whining trying to get out. This clown show and all this realignment is even more reason fir ND to keep to themselves and not get involved.
@@JSum81 My team is an SEC member. ND would have more losses if actually in a competitive division and not ranked like they are. That is why ND doesn't want to be in the ACC. I was just chiming in to point out that Bowden didn't want to be in a division as strong as the SEC. Would have put a big dent in his win record.
The SEC is after major state flagship universities that are big brands and expand the footprint. UNC, Virginia, and Kansas does that. Imagine if the SEC added UNC, Virginia, Duke, and Kansas to basketball. Now the SEC becomes dominant in football and basketball.
I agree with all of those but I'd swap Virginia with Virginia Tech for the football aspect. Duke, North Carolina, and Kansas I'd say in basketball are on another level compared to Virginia
Duke won't move the needle enough to financially make it worth their addition to the SEC. Basketball is a nice draw but football is what brings the big time money that the networks drool over when they pick who they want to add.
@@markjf131Duke would be a sufficient brand along with unc as SEC members. What other national football brands are available? … unless you’re bold enough to state ND to SEC, there aren’t any.
@@JamieTheBangles11Fan some people just don't realize that playing Vanderbilt between facing Georgia and bama can help a program rather than playing Georgia, Oklahoma, and bama back to back to back. In this case Duke also brings basketball along with academics and a blue blood rivalry with North Carolina and a bigger fanbase, etc..unlike vandy
Don't assume. Do your homework. USC plays Clemson every year already. So if Clemson counts as a conference game, USC could then play an easier team as an out-of-conference game. Also, they would love Clemson to get beat up by GA, AL, LSU every year.
SEC is seeking UNC and Virginia because it allows them to expand their media market which would allow the SEC to negotiate a larger contract with ESPN.
True and with the added benefit that the weaker schools will have someone they can improve their record by beating. UNC would be near the bottom and UVA would be the bottom. Both schools would cost literally tens of millions a year but the SEC can afford it. Good plan actually.
Then why not go after the stronger football programs and the ones more like SEC venues? Do they think they can sell UNC to NCSU, ECU, ASU or Duke fans? Do they think they can make UVA more attractive by pasting the SEC logo on their unis? NOT.
There is a ton of overlap with South Carolina and Clemson. They already have the flagship school in the state of Florida with the Florida Gators. New markets are what the SEC values the most and they want to stay regional. So UNC and Virginia now and WVU and another around 2031.
I hear this a lot. What is a "flagship school" especially to people who know very little about football in a state? Is it the # 1 football brand in their state? Clemson is, FSU, UNC, and UVA are not. Or is it really just the school that carries the name of the state?
@@artpowers812 yeah that’s actually just a thing the SEC started saying about 10 years ago (yet another false narrative). FSU is actually “the flagship school”. Bigger, been around longer (fsu was the first state university), located in the state capitol, MUCH more success in Olympic sports, much better succeed rate in multiple sports, etc….eSECpn understand that 99% of the population is very stupid & easily led soo they knew if they just lied about UF being “the flagship” for a few years the sheep would inevitably fall in line & start repeating what they were told🤷🏻♂️
Still say Clemson & FSu will be lucky to end up in the Big XII. Donno forgets what he likes to say himself a lot. Its all about the money. FSU and Clemson don’t bring anything new money-wise for the SEC. Having Virginia, UNC, Kansas, West Virginia and Colorado all would bring new markets and TV revenue. The SEC obviously doesn’t want either of the two and honestly neither meet the academics of the B10. Also, football is secondary in money. Research, Grants and contracts from government and private entities, Endowments and investment income from financial assets and State and federal appropriations for institutions all are vastly more lucrative than any sport or combination of sports. Not saying those millions & billions aren’t important but you have to look at the full picture. That’s why schools like Vandy, UVA, Duke, Northwestern and Rutgers are so valuable to these leagues. Best guess would be the B10 might look at adding Miami, Colorado, Arizona, Georgia Tech, Arizona State…maybe also Tulane, Buffalo and Rice [all vey doubtful] before they would consider Clemson or FSU. Truthfully those schools just bring more OVERALL than the two schools in question. And, as with the SEC, it has already been well reported by sources such as ESPN’s Pete Thamel, that Notre Dame, UNC and UVA are the most coveted schools by the Big 10. One would guess that Miami might also be in the mix before an FSU type school since they offer more of the things the B10 likes to have in members.

Yes, but they would have to settle for half shares till 2030.
@@troywest7045 I haven’t seen half shares reported anywhere, I think they are both worthy of full shares or close to it.

SEC and Big 10 are playing Chess while everyone else is playing checkers.
Na we dont want either, Clemson sucks and was o ly good getting TNs normal recruits...FSU denied the SEC under Bowden and SEC said they would never join
It seems backward. UNC and UVA are way better B1G fits for all the parameters of B1G inclusion before they took the WC schools (only contiguous fails thereI think) Miami is a better fit than FSU, and they’re now an AAU member. FSU and Clemson seem like SEC fits. The SEC is trying to tell us that UF>FSU and USCe>Clemson in Florida and South Carolina respectively and they’re not interested in intrastate rivalries in their super-conference? I don’t believe it.
This show is trash and have no clue Keaton you are hoping an coming up with all these different ideas that will never happen why are you so upset about team wanting to get out a bad situation you might find a job somewhere else try to get hired by locked on Nc State
One reason is fs and Clemson want money and both think there hot commodities above and beyond. May be they're looking at the hell they're raising in the acc. Nobody want no one else's problems.
We got the best football head coach and all of the land just think about that dude in 45 more years it’ll be like Nick saving and Kirby put that in your pipe and smoke it
Regarding sponsorship patches, does this change the calculus for evaluating teams? Do we now consider who the alums are and what companies have presence where schools are located?
I don't want to date a super model the same way the SEC doesn't want FSU or Clemson. It's obvious that the B1G is Chad.
Guess what fsu dosnt want to be in the over rated sec conf.
BS
In the Southeast huh? FSU is one of the most prominent sports programs in the country. You should lose your right to do ACC podcasts after that comment.
You guys are clueless
No. These guys are on point. If the B1G decides to expand again, it will be for North Carolina and Virginia. Outside of those two the only other school the B1G would consider is Notre Dame. I don't know what the SEC is thinking but the B1G definitely only wants those 3 schools.
@@ron6083Do you work for the B1G? If not shut the hell up!!!
@@ron6083UNC what leave the Acc NC politics!
Most likely outcome:
2027 Phase 1 of the ESPN Super League w/ unequal revenue sharing:
- Florida State
- Clemson
- Miami
- North Carolina
- Virginia
- Stanford
- Cal
- Utah
- Arizona State
- Colorado
Also the SEC would get two more Basketball schools which will help in the negotiations of an increase their contract with ESPN.
Does anyone else think that the southeast won't be as welcoming to a Big 10 FSU or Clemson as those schools think? IMHO FSU and Clemson will be swimming against a stronger current against FLA, USC, Auburn etc. that they are now.
More locked on garbage as usual.
what happened to utah in the acc LMAOOOOO
Exactly they were just saying yesterday that Utah wants to be in the great Acc Keaton is a clown he needs to join the circus 😂😂😂
Presidents still need to vote yes or no on expansion, regardless of what the media partners desire.
Old news.
Two MOST prominent programs in the Southeast!? Blah!
1 trick pony
Nonsense. The SEC wants FSU and the B10 will not tell FSU they have to take less than a full share to join the B10.
What the SEC and Big want has nothing to do with it...nothing
Nonsense the b1g has never taken a team on as full member and it would piss off the latest adds for them to get a full share, if true then it’s something the sec and big12 would benefit from
FSU wouldn't be pushing to leave the ACC unless they knew they: 1) Had a landing spot in either the SEC or BIG and 2) They were getting a full share where they landed. So, IF they go to the BIG i think they will get the full share just like USC and UCLA did when they joined.
Don't believe everything you hear orread
Kenton.u were in a streak of good episodes. Then u went ahead n put this crap out
I don't like the ideal of jersey patches, as I would rather watch a commercial. Like i care about what Fat Joe says, as this is the same man that tried to back a bill to prevent law enforcement from using an artist's lyrics against them in court.
I'm sorry but Moody is in over her head.
Really? Where did you get your law degree?
Not all Seminoles are fans of desantis and his politics. ESPN and Disney aren't one in the same. "Seminole Nation" does not hate Disney.
And FSU AND CLEMSON will never win another National championship if they leave the ACC greed is a terrible thing!
Since when do you speak for Seminole Nation?
@@jmath1978nice leap to an unverified conclusion.
FSU is that Girl or Guy that Tries & Acts wants to in the In Crowd , but When Push comes to shove must sit with all the others in the Cafeteria room.

Bobby Bowden turned down the chance to take FSU to the SEC. Notre Dame (football) should be in the ACC since all of it's other sports programs are.
It's going to be hilarious when at the end of this road nobody goes anywhere. 🤣
That's exactly what's gonna happen

@@markjf131 SEC doesn't need anymore football schools. If they did, they would FSU and Clemson.
Not going to happen NC politics yaw!
Then why not go after the stronger football programs and the ones more like SEC venues? Do they think they can sell UNC to NCSU, ECU, ASU or Duke fans? Do they think they can make UVA more attractive by pasting the SEC logo on their unis? NOT.
@artpowers812 Yes they will cause Virginia in the SEC hosting Georgia Tennessee and Alabama
@@Julian-yc4hn What
There is a ton of overlap with South Carolina and Clemson. They already have the flagship school in the state of Florida with the Florida Gators. New markets are what the SEC values the most and they want to stay regional. So UNC and Virginia now and WVU and another around 2031.
…what year do YOU think we’re in right now??😂😂😂😂this dumb ass still talking about about cable subscriptions🤦🏻♂️😂😂😂
Fsu would be the third or fourth most watched school in either the b10 or sec! They want that viewership $$$$
Because Florida State kicks that ass, that’s why I wanna go to the big 10 make that money we get that kind of contract. We’re unstoppable.
SEC because of its partnership with ESPN cannot say that they are actively pursuing FSU and Clemson. ESPN would look like a bad partner to the ACC in which they are currently in business with.
They tried & failed. Now they’re trying to save face & say they don’t want them.😊
@@NOLES-wm3lyWhen? Do you have any proof? If you have proof, Jim Phillips and every ACC school institution can sue for millions. FSU and Clemson won’t have to ever worry about money again. You have a goldmine if you in fact have such proof. Congratulations on this windfall.
