As someone who in 2017/2018 followed -+ to see where it ended, and found that it ended less than 2mil away, Spent 2 days digging by hand soon to realize my attempts were null and void, digging by hand by myself, I then proceeded to /kill and go back to screwing around at spawn. Sometimes I wish I had stayed on that highway and just dug until others arrived to help,no matter how long that may have taken
Now I'm travelling the same highway again, Partly to visit my friends griefed bases (llama base will forever be in my heart)

rest in peace illville. you left an amazing legacy on 2b2t and your hard work on these tunnels will be in use by thousands of players for the forseeable future. your highways exist in world downloads, screenshots, videos, and memories. one of the most memorable parts of 2b2t is its highways and contributing the amount you did is a feat unrivaled. forever remembered.

Just for anyone that's wondering, in Minecraft, when walking diaginally in x or z axis of more than around 60000, the character will shake. It's a glitch.

This video is the highest quality and most heartwarming 2b2t video out there
It somewhat feels outdated. HWU group keeps working on the HW. Currently several HWs are extended and paved with oby up to 1M. For the other travelers - if you see that somebody is AFK digging/paving the very same road you was happily using to get there - don't kill him. It's useless and will just stop him for 30-60 minutes, but your karma in the quite large community will be destroyed forever. Instead offer him shulkers with gapples, pickaxes and enderchests. If he is AFK paving, load him with mined oby stacks.
For those who interested to help - we use modified Kami Blue with extra Highway Tools and Auto Obsidian extensions - github.com/Avanatiker/client/releases/tag/2.02.xx-dev-ht-v09.8
I remember meeting one of the members in january of 2020 (Gatecrash) while i was extending the -x, -z obsidian highway to 50k and he told me about them digging that highway to the world border (they had just reached -10mil, -10mil), i promised to join then but got distracted by another project so i never did.
Amazing videos on 2b2t. I really enjoy learning about some of the history of the server and has made me decide to try to get on the server and see if I can make a base on it to see how long it can stand ^_^
