- This year's VidCon was a good one, and it got me thinking about where I want to go with this channel and a lot about my own mental health. I'm excited to be taking charge of my own mental health through therapy and medication. Well, excited and scared.

TheJunieBird comes from an old nickname I had as a camp counselor for a minute. It's also a slight nod to my sister and I's nickname for each other, Jojo. On my channel I vlog about failing at adulthood (#adulting) and whatever else is on my mind. Topics such as television and media come up alongside thoughts on faith and sexuality. Sometimes I sing cover songs or do spoken word poetry. It's really a bit of a mixed bag around here.
My goal on my channel is to start discussions and be a part of a community of small TH-camrs. I'm involved with #FemTube and love interacting with other small TH-camrs on Twitter and in the comments.

It really was. I still sometimes find myself chanting "DFTBA, DFTBA!" Like we all were after Hank's concert that year.
