🚨A brief explanation background of the song Monster, Last Dance & Still Life🚨 🔹Monster was released on 2012 ALIVE album alongside with Fantastic Baby. Monster is song for VIPs who left Bigbang because of all the scandals that happened to BB in 2011. Monster tells about Bigbang is humans too, they can make mistakes. [Fun fact: all songs on ALIVE album are Title. no one has ever done this] 🔹Last Dance is a special song for VIPs. more like a promise song and a temporary goodbye song because TOP will be enlisting in the military and the other members will join the following year. Thats why on MV TOP so emotional. they also released the single "Flower Road" while 4 of the 5 members were in the military. This song is also a special fan song. 🔹Still Life is a promise-fulfilling song from the songs Last Dance and Flower Road. the lyrics say that Bigbag will return in spring when the flowers bloom, Still Life was released right on the first day of spring in Korea. if calculated from the last official comeback as a group (MADE Full album) then VIP has been waiting for 6 years for Still Life. I can't talk about all the hidden messages and korean play in the lyrics of this song, it could take an hour LOL. Many expressions are difficult to translate into English. [fun fact: Still Life the Korean title literally translation for 4 seasons, spring summer fall winter]
Monster was actually the song that bigbang made for VIPs they talk about their scandal and stuff like that and the line " I love you baby I'm not a monster " I think it's like for a VIPs that turn their back on them after they did something wrong or idk it's just something like that.. last dance and haru-haru is the saddest song I've heard from bigbang :) it breaks my heart but yeah now no matter what happen to them I don't care imma still be a VIP. VIP till whenever 💛
So here is how I interpret the story in BigBang's "Haru Haru" MV. First off it's not a love triangle like some people first think. T.O.P was doing the girl a favor and they were trying to spare GD the pain of watching his girlfriend die. The girl and GD were in love and the girl got sick and she knew she was dying. She didn't want to put GD through the pain of seeing her get sicker and die, so she figured the easiest why for him to get over her once she was gone was to make him mad at her. So she came up with a plan and asked T.O.P. to "please act like you have feelings for me and that you are stealing me away from GD." Essentially, the girlfriend was thinking that, "If GD is mad at me it will be easier for me to say goodbye and for him to get over me once I am gone." So T.O.P reluctantly plays along. That's why GD is so angry because he thinks his best friend is betraying him; and that's why T.O.P acts so smug to make GD believe the role he is supposed to be playing. In the end, though, everyone realizes that GD needs to know what is happening and he should be there to say goodbye, so Taeyang goes against the girl's wishes and calls GD to tell him the girl is in the hospital and he needs to get there right away. When GD gets to the hospital T.O.P tells him what was really going on and explains that the ring he exchanged with the girl and the "proposal" he witnessed was all an act and the couple ring was really meant for GD. The girl never stopped loving him and they were all doing this to try and protect him from the pain of losing her, etc. The sad thing is GD didn't make it in time and the girl ended up dying on the operating table. What you saw was a flashback of what it was like when GD and the girl were happy in their relationship. When you saw her cry and smile she was sad remembering the happy times in her life, which included GD. It wasn't the future, but it was the past. Or maybe what she wished she could have had if she had lived long enough.
🚨Haru Haru MV storyline: Bigbang has taught VIP to be mature from the very beginning. At such a young age they give VIP a crazy plot twist. Haru Haru MV storyline is a typical Kdrama story. I grew up watching this kind of kdrama lol (btw I'm not Korean at all). storyline: at first GD thought his girlfriend (Min Young) and TOP were cheating on him. the five of them are best friends. GD gets very angry and disappointed. Min Young actually knows that she has cancer. She doesn't want GD to be sad if he will lose her later. Min Young asked TOP and other members for help to create a fake situation so that GD would hate her. so that later if she dies GD will not feel too lost. her condition is getting worse, GD also seem can't to forget Min Young. The other members could no longer keep secrets from GD and ended up telling him everything. TOP apologized to GD because he lied, Min Young actually really love GD. TOP returns GD and Min Young's couple rings (in Korea it's common for couples to have a couple's ring, like a anniversary ring) as you can see at the end of the video, it's too late. BIGBANG is good at making songs with happy beats but sad lyrics. You will dance happily but will cry later after you know the lyrics translation. please react to: "VIP - the most savage fandom in kpop" the reason VIP is so different from other fandoms is here. you might be surprised because you rarely see this in your KPOP comfort zone. these are some proofs that Bigbang is an untouchable group. the public still love them and some media hate it LMAO. if you read till the end i really appreciate it, thank you so much💛
The meaning of the MV "Monster" This song was their first comeback after Daesung and G-dragon got involved in some scandals. A lot of VIPs left the fandom because of that and people were basically giving up on them. The meaning of the song if you read t.o.p's verse says that "people turned their back on me but what hurts me most is that you're one of them" talks how they felt after fans left them and the songs basically says that they're not monsters/bad people
@@deonte9014 If I'm not mistaken it's about GD got cigarette with weed and he got exposed dating with model Kiko (?) don't know which one. But Daesung, he hit a motorcyclist that already involved in hit & run accident. Basically the guy got hit, his body got thrown away into Daesung's car path and he didn't manage to stop on time. Daesung helped the guy & call for help but the victim already passed away & he was said to be drunk that's why he didn't stop on time. People gave him death threats to him & his family with all major news covered about this incident painting him as a murderer. He personally gone to the victim's house to apologise and they said they never blamed him & accepted his apology & all but the mass still blames him. Till this day, Daesung never done a solo in South Korea or in any variety show in Korea again by himself as he is traumatised by this incident.
You, a "newbie" kpop fan and checking out bb for the first time got the feels and message of Still Life perfectly, imagine South Korea and other VIPs right now. The song is acheiving RAKs and CAKs and Rooftops on music charts everywhere, with the most listeners and streams, you're right, this song is nostalgic and Bigbang is so many people's youth. Theyre kinda like the Beatles for some people. And if you listen to flower road, youll expect a song like Still Life to be their comeback, it's like "we're back for a new beginning, thank you for waiting" 😭
Still Life: this is what I mean about BIGBANG's music is always new and unique. people say BIGBANG is a genre itself. I stan many groups but honestly only BIGBANG can give me this feeling when listening to music, a feeling only Bigbang can give. an indescribable feeling. I went through a lot of KPOP groups, nothing ever beats BIGBANG. Always incomparable. I watch a lot of reaction videos. many new kpop reactors say they feel the sadness that bigbang brings through this song even though they don't know anything about bigbang. this is what i mean about bigbang's music everyone. Crazy
I feel the same too. That's why I never Stan other groups aside from BIGBANG (and 2NE1). Everytime I tried listening to songs of other groups, I could really feel the difference, that there is something is missing. So, from then on, I stuck to BIGBANG music. 😅😅

In regards to the Bible passage shown in "Still Life": "Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness" - Psalm 30:11 It basically refers to an individual going through a lot of suffering, pain, hardship and agony in life. However, because the lord has redeemed its life, he has undone the "mourning" (sorrow) to "dancing" (a more positive feeling). [explained by Joony Music - a religious Christian] BIGBANG has been through a lot amidst their career (mainly due to public brutality in cases which were often taken out of context just to paint them in a certain light and have driven them to the extreme (a sensitive topic however TOP has opened up in an interview with a magazine to his attempt in ... leaving the land we walk on while Daesung, have had these thoughts but thankfully never gotten around to act on them - talked about it on a show called "Healing Camp" on SBS)) which is why I believe they added this passage within the M/V. "Still Life" is a really deep song that only long-term fans would understand in all honesty as well as Koreans who understand the literal meaning of the lyrics (the translations haven't done it justice). Their music has always conveyed their personal messages but they always make it in a way so everyone who listens can relate through their own interpretations, I personally find that amazing.
In addition, TOP is revealing that while he has been in despair, he was ALSO angry that some enjoyed the pain BigBang experienced. In Korean society, the very people worshipped are expected to live without any human character flaws. As if. Love my BigBang men,all five.
Only me VIP talk: the fact that I've seen a lot of musicians, Korean hip hop artists and actors/actresses sharing the joy of BIGBANG's comeback on social media just shows how much they miss Bigbang's music. The funny thing is Bigbang's habit of immediately rising to the top of the chart without the need to crawl slowly from the bottom despite a hiatus of more than five years with all the problems they faced in the past always amazes me. Korean people's old habit of naturally listening to Bigbang's music after its release has never changed. I swear No group can return if they face all the obstacles that befall them like Bigbang. BigBang is very strong. if Bigbang only care about fame they might have released a song a long time ago only four of them. but just now they are finally able to accept, can forgive, let go and move on of all that is happening now. they are afraid that the released music will indirectly hurt Seungri too. this makes me very sad. and this is not a short time. Bigbang really loves seungri, Bigbang since early 2006 wouldn't be complete without Seungri, only og VIP knows the reason. it wasn't easy for them to come back with just the four of them. they bear a big responsibility, many people have high expectations for them, as artist who inspire many people in various fields, they must act carefully. Back then they don't care about all of this, they are bravest group I've ever known but now a small act will have an impact on their beloved Seungri. VIP said they had a hard time waiting for Bigbang, believe me there is no one in this world who knows the hardships better than the bigbang members themselves. they are the ones who hurt the most, they are the ones who lose the most. So VIPs out there the message from Still Life is to let go, forgive and move on. Bigbang is very complicated unlike Korean idols in general. they can't upload something on social media easily, they even have a hard time uploading their own face photo or their happy moment because small things will become public analysis and boomerang. Military service was supposed to be a place for Bigbang to rest, but the media that wanted to take Bigbang down were looking for loopholes to slander them while they were on hiatus. im sorry but i still think VI is innocent. this was supposed to be a happy moment, bigbang had fulfilled Flower Road's promise but everyone was crying instead. crying for joy and forgiveness. VIP, everything like Bigbang said let's forget and bury all the bad things in the past. let's open a new chapter, let's step up for the new Bigbang in the future. love you my fellow VIP. from VIP💛
Rj, im so sorry for my long love letter😄 talking about VIP can you react to "VIP - the most savage fandom in kpop" the reason VIP is so different from other fandoms is here. you might be surprised because you rarely see this in your KPOP comfort zone. these are some proofs that Bigbang is an untouchable group. the public still love them and some media hate it LMAO. if you read till the end i really appreciate it, thank you sm💛
@@efemotionmi1389 They give us the vibe but I don't think this is a goodbye song. This is just say goodbye to youth, to the past and move on. Bigbang & a lot of VIP out there are older now. D'splay seem happy about the cb, GD visit YG & meet Treasure yesterday. YG dancer also excited. YG now open new tiktok account just because BB comeback. YG even released BB merch very soon. I do think you'll appreciate them more, and at the same time I think the performances will speak for themselves and give you insight to their personalities. Either way, I'm here for your journey into BIGBANG. HAVE FUN!💛
Rj, the MV is right in front of my eyes but I can't believe they're back until my tears fall without me knowing😭 I've been a VIP for a very long time. more than 10 years now.. seeing them back with all the bad things they've been through in the past and comeback with a promise song for a new page makes me cry like a baby😭 they are talking about reall stuff in this song💔
I see you everywhere in this channel Bigbang video comment section, explaining everything, and as VIP myself, i really appreciate your effort and i felt the same. I mean as a fanboy, this comeback is the only time i shed a tear for an idol group (in like 10 year of being kpop stan). We've been going through so much, and listening to their voice again makes me really emotional.
@@gazzakeh26 i fell the same lol I'm a baby VIP(3y) and i I just need to say that you guys are the best just like our boys! TYSM for not abandoning them and for educating the new family members during these years. You guys deserve the best 💛👑
Thanks again for going deeper with them. Haruharu is a classic. In regards to Still Life, I have some insights from me and others: I focused mostly on tabi (top) and you may already know about the rabbit in the moon folktale but if not I included it. Tops bunny on the moon: it's a call back to the folktale about the rabbit in the moon. There once was a village where there lived a rabbit, a fox, and a monkey who often played together. One day, the Great Emperor in the Heavens decided to test the animals' loyalty to him. He came down from the sky disguised as a beggar and asked the animals each to bring him something to eat. The three generous animals instantly set out to honor the poor man's request. The fox returned to the beggar with a fish: likewise, the monkey with some fruit. The rabbit, being a small and more limited animal, unfortunately was only able to bring back the grass he could gather. Ashamed at his feeble offering, the rabbit, in an act of self-sacrifice, proceeded to ignite the grass he'd gathered and threw himself into the flames to be eaten by the beggar as a meal. The action of the rabbit so touched the beggar-emperor that he placed the rabbit in the moon to become its guardian and surrounded him with smoke as a reminder to all of the rabbit's noble death. Thus was born the Legend of the Moon Rabbit to be told for centuries to come. And so TOP, after his suî€!dë attempt and everything that happened to them as a group and how the media and fans turned on them, after throwing himself into the fire to feed those he cherished and or served, is on the moon, watching from a far after his sacrifice of a version of himself, ready to begin a new. His rabbit mask is also Lowkey monstrous... It's also shown in the kaneki mask he wears. The world wanted to paint him as a monster. That look he gives the camera? It's not charisma. It's a defiant "you hurt me, I hurt me, but I'm still here. I chose life" and then we see the words life later on the walls. Because they all chose to keep going. G dragon echos that look later, when he closes his jacket and looks at the camera with his chin out. His director chair, as he was behind so much of bigbang and yge in regards to music and aesthetics etc., He's the mastermind... The rest of the chairs are the rest of the group. DAESUNG is looking at their memories, things that they cherish, their youth. Taeyang is on a ship after a battle, with the flower road around and under him (symbolizing the fans as our lightstick is a flower/crown) with his faith (Bible verse) behind him. The mv ends in black and white, "still life" as in the type of art, because its just a moment. A part of their journey, talking about the feelings they have for the things they now need to move on from. With love. The lyrics themselves are actually very much Korean poetry and the English translation won't do them justice but they're about transitioning essentially. It breaks my heart but I do intepret it as a goodbye song, at least to the bigbang we knew. I cried and cried when I first watched it. There's a lot in that video and lyrics that VIPs will notice. But it's so hard to explain it all without giving the details of the references and my brain doesn't wanna let me lol. Oh and a tip on how to recognize whose voice is who's- gdragon both raps and sings, his rap voice can be both deep and high but he's a huge contrast to TOPs gritty velvet. Gdargon's singing voice is usually higher and nasally? For lack of a better word. TOPs voice I feel like you can probably tell already. Taeyang has the r&b leaning voice that hits high notes. DAESUNG has a rock edge and is deep and husky and hits power notes. Seungri has a more pop vocal and is usually on the bridge. I do hope VIPs don't bring the Seungri issue into your comments. No matter what people want to "believe" he was charged and he did retire from the industry. He is no longer part of bigbang and while we cherish the memories forever and are never ashamed of what he gave us, I'd wish people would respect that.
Bigbang was creating music to express, not just to impress.✨I hope you can check their liver performance too 🥺 they have performance in MAMA too where they performed their each individual song then Fantastic Baby. It’s fun where you can see all kpop groups are having fun.
I don't think he will check out their "liver" performances. I know for sure that he reacted to their "live" performances by now. Lol. 😂 😂 😂 Have a good day fellow V.I.P.!
When even Koreans had a hard time translating the lyrics of Still Life. It is very poetic. I recommend you watch Andy and Jas video for proper translation since some words have no direct translation to English :)
The meaning of the MV "Last Dance" Last dance was their last comeback before they left for military (and as 5🥲) it's basically saying that this will be their last dance with us before they leave and that it'll take a long time before they're able to comeback again (it took them 5 years) it was their temporary goodbye song for VIPs
The meaning of the MV "Haru Haru" (Bigbang all knew the girl had cancer except gd) So its basically gdragon being mad at t.o.p because he's hanging out and "dating" his girlfriend so he thinks shes cheating on him but at the end when t.o.p gives him the ring he explains that he (t.o.p) was hanging out with her so he (gd) could get mad at her and hopefully not get hurt/sad when he learns that shes dying. Theyre basically "protecting" him and trying to make her death less painful on gd
"Last Dance" was literally BigBang's last dance in 2016 before they went on hiatus, as the members started to enlist in the military. It's all about how they don't know what the future will hold or if they will be back again after they are discharged. It was a sort of swan song for them. Yes the song is them talking to VIPs (BigBang's fans). And then "Still Life" was their first comeback in almost 6 years. The first time they came back as a group since being discharged and going through several major life changing events. It's a new chapter in all of their lives. Taeyang got married right before he enlisted and his wife and him just had a baby boy in December, so the group dynamic is changing and evolving just like the ever changing seasons. In the MV each of the members represent a different season. Although we are excited that they finally made a comeback, if you pay attention to the lyrics it's almost as if this is actually a goodbye song. They fulfilled their promise to VIPs that they would greet us again after they were discharged, but does that mean they will continue as a group? We just have to wait and see.
VIP are torn in half. To hear our beloved voices in a new song. To see them all apart and not one shared scene. To hear a song and know that there is a missing voice. So many reasons to love and cry. The flower road has been long and we are both blessed and hurt by these words.
I was curious to see if you were going to notice that she was sick. Many people don't realize that it shows her hair falling out; they just vibing to the song. When TOP gives the ring back to GD he tells him he is sorry for lying to him and that she really loves GD. (something like that)
For Monster, it was after the group’s first major scandals. This song is for the fans that decided to turn their backs on them. As you said, it’s them, but depending on your perception, they can be seen as monsters. This was the song before they released their Still Alive EP which featured concepts of them being frozen alive and coming back to life despite all the naysayers wishing for their fall. For GD, after a 144p video of what ppl believed to be him smoking weed in a bathroom of a club in Japan came out, many media and fans turned him into a drug addict and spread many malicious things about him (sending death threats of various kinds). For Daesung, after shooting his variety show in the countryside, he got into a car accident while driving back to Seoul. The blackbox showed just how dark with little to no visibility as it was a one-way dirt road in the countryside. Before Daesung, there was already an accident between I believe a motorcycle and taxi on that one-way road. After investigations, it’s said that the person in the backseat of the taxi would have already been dead by the time Daesung had crashed into the accident between the motorcycle and taxi. However, media and netizens had already moved on the internet calling him a murderer. Daesung is the son of a priest and being involved, whether he was the cause or not, this close to someone’s passing led him to lock himself in his room and was in a very dark place. The other 3 members stayed by the side of GD and Daesung, showing their brotherhood and solidarity. The Still Alive EP era was a turning point for them to rise higher above these low points and further skyrocketed them to the global stage. Garnering attention so much so that they won at the World Music Awards 2014 for Best Live Act, Best Video (Fantastic Baby), and Best Group.
Still Life is the fulfilment of their promise to meet VIPs again when the flowers bloom. They came back to close a chapter of Bigbang and say their proper farewell. It’s a very special song
Bigbang is one of the most poetic group, they use words play, metaphor, special terms, or a word in korean which hard to explain in another language. I've watched one reaction video of Still Life, and it takes at least an hour for them to explain the lyrics and the song. And this song means everything for VIP, most of us are growing up with them so when we watch/listen to this song we are brought back to reminisce about those times. It's like Still Life brings understanding to Bigbang and VIP that life still goes on, we may not be young anymore and have to carry on with the life that is in front of us. We are trying to convince ourselves that this song from Bigbang is not a goodbye song for us, this is a goodbye song for the past days we've been through. Oh and please do a reaction for Flower Road, Still Life is the answer to their promise on Flower Road. Thanks for doing reaction and have a respect towards Bigbang. I'm enjoying your journey to get to know them.
They never had a single shot together in the MV. It might be them telling us that they will focus on their solo careers. They are still BIGBANG but won’t give us a comeback until everything is okay. GD’s “Four seasons with no reason” We can’t have 4 seasons at the same time. It’s them not to be together, for no reason. Anyway RJ, just want to let you know, if you dig in to BIGBANG more, don’t believe everything media have written.
Still Life sounds like a Beatles song because the guitar before the “lalala’s” (which in itself is a wink to Hey Jude, imo) has a chord progression similar to the bridge in Here Comes the Sun. The sound also personally reminds me of Jet’s Shine On, another band known for its Beatles influence. It’s a brilliant subtle hint, also taking in the fact that the whole imagery of the MV brings back the past: the hairstyles, clothes, the color grading, as well as the musical arrangements mentioned earlier. It’s all about nostalgia, not only the universal feeling, but also BIGBANG’s whole career and history - there’s so many tiny but loud details all throughout the video, VIP surely recognizes them and cherishes every hidden gem in each frame. Every element has notably been chosen with a purpose and a concept in mind, a beautifully executed one at that. My heart still sinks at the thought of being unable to see them together even though we still got this meaningful song - I’m a bit greedy I guess, but I understood the message. Thank you BIGBANG, hope we meet again soon, when the flowers bloom in a new season💛
What a journey from Haru Haru to Still Life.... I teared up every time I watched Still Life. I've been a VIP for a long time now, and I really hope there's more from them as a whole and as individuals. I just hope they live happily from now on. I'm glad I got to see and hear BIGBANG live in my lifetime. 👑
I wanna say a lot, but hey it'll be a book tho. 😄 as a proud VIP for 12 yrs, I just wanna say, thank you for reminding us, VIP, that we've been through a lot (from Haru Haru or even from LaLaLa to Still Life) and we survive along with BigBang.
the moment we heard "Monster" after all the scandal they've been trough...it really hits different back then, for we all know the meaning behind this song...this song were dedicated to VIPs who leaved them after what happened to them back then, specially Daesung's traumatic experienced.
It’s crazy that Bigbang was debuted way back in 2006 yet they’re still making impact and drawing attention in 2022 after so many ups and downs😂😂😂 with only one comeback song “still life” makes the new kpop audiences question who they are… It is just amazing. I’ve been a fan since I was in high school and I’m 30 now, still a fan😂😂😂
Haru Haru is VIP anthem. BB sing it differently in every other concert. So you must check Haru Haru live time to time. And VIP sing it along with BB always make you chill.
Hello RJ. My interpretation with "Still Life" is about the process of growth of a person in every seasons. Life has seasons. Seasons of up's and down. Seasons of hardships and prosperity. We fall and we rise but this are all part of life for us to become a better man. And could you please include their song "BLUE" in your next review with them. It's one of my favorite. Ty
BigBang's "Monster" was released after the group went through several scandals so they were making a statement that I am human, I made some mistakes, but I am not a monster. This song came out after Daesung (The one that almost always has his hair covering his eyes -- blond in this MV) was in a car accident and a motorcyclist was killed, fans started to boycott the group. He spent a lot of time out of the public eye and went through a lot of depression. Also around that time, GD (Most often the one who will have crazy colored hair -- red hair with the horns in this MV) was caught with marijuana in his system. He was arrested and could have potentially been sent to jail for it. (In Korea any type of drug is considered a high offense and you can get in big trouble. GD was lucky that YG Entertainment stepped in and helped him get a reduced sentence.) So before this song came out, the group was on a kind of hiatus and they weren't looked at very favorably by Korean society. Many called for BigBang to disband. So "Monster" was their comeback, call out song to tell people "we understand what we did was wrong, but we are not the monsters you make us out to be," etc. Which is why you see them breaking out of prison and having to dodge all the bombs and bullets, etc. It's all a metaphor for what they had to go through in life to redeem themselves.
GD was never arested . He was never charged . As far as the car accident goes police established that the person was killed by a car riding before Daesung , he was coming behind and could not avoid the body.
@@vickyzhu1133 Very much true . A lot of bad things people say online about BigBang scandals is exagerated and a lot is not even true. Most of the times is just people and press looking for views and clicks using their fame
@@mariar3767 yea right, GD was never been arrested, he was just been investigated. But...the public opinion that time (and always though) to almost YG artists...ugh...😔
Rj, I think you start falling in love with Bigbang hehe.....the more you dig their songs, their personalities, their stories, what they had through the past, the more you'll be amazed. Welcome to the hole with no way out , baby VIP 😁
That’s why Still Life felt nostalgic/ sentimental is because this could possibly be their last comeback or song as a group. TOP has been through a lot with depression (suicide attempt) which has taken a toll in his mental health. The group as a whole as well with 1 member being involved in scandals, but as a whole they showed the good memories that they had with the fans and its almost like they’re closing this chapter of their life but is opening a new one, just like welcoming a new season.
I thought T.O.P was feeling guilty both for what his done with his situation before from 2016 to 2017 (scandal with drug like B.I) and Go Hara's massage (didn't answer her last massage) so that he left YG like he paid for his feeling guilty (at least that what I guessed) 🤔😎❤👑
@@yhuynh1491 my thought is that TOP left YGE because he’s never been able to make the music he really wants to. He also complained about the K-pop system. I think he felt stifled and unable to truly express himself. YGE have always been pretty restrictive on what gets released and their current direction feels more mainstream K-pop than boundary pushing.
@@deedeeschway9566 The way he complained about may due to Hara's message before her death, He regreted that he didn't reply back to her message, And the fault he caused about drug like B.I (Ex IKON's leader) + YG rule that if any one make 3 mistakes, that one is out like punishment (if he count his fault about Seungri's case cause he didn't care much about maknae of the group) then he left YG 😭
Live stage is their personality… they are called kings with a reason.. THE REASON IS THEY SLAYYYY ON STAGE !! No one can beat their live performances/ concert !!
About Haru Haru: It was Top and Gdragon. The characters were not in a fight over the girl, she didn't want GDragon to suffer once she found she was dying. So, she broke up with him. Top stepped in to support her because he knew she needed help but would not ask GDragon. The friction was GDragon misunderstanding the relationship between the girl and Top. By the way that is a very young Park Min Young, who is a famous actress now. Many of their videos feature other artists in their beginning days.
They write music to express themselves, they always tell us story. They are not making music to impress, or for awards, charts. They are so different from any group, that’s how I became a fan of them. My ultimate KPop group. FOREVER VIP 👑💛
I envy the fact that you are able to watch this for the first time. That feeling is amazing! especially when you find an amazing group filled with amazing talents.
For some VIPs, the LALALA part can be a reference to their debut song lalala or interpreted as fillers because it was supposed to be seungri's part since seungri most of the time is the one singing the bridge.
Don't forget to check out their concerts they are so much fun and their true personality shine throughout. Especially when they stop the music and they start making fun of each other in between. They even have fun during their performances. And the best thing is that they always always include their audience in the performances so the audience feels like they are performing too.
The heroine of the "Haru Haru" music video pretended to fall in love with her boy friend falsely so that her lover wouldn't be sad because she was dying. I'm trying to get her to believe she betrayed me. And then her went into the O.R. where her had no chance of living, and eventually her died. All of his friends knew about this, except for the male lead. But she went into the O.R. and his friend, who pretended to be in love for him, contacted him and ran to the hospital at the end, crying and regretting... The music video for "Haru Haru" was a very sad song.
Still life sounds like a good bye song, and my heart hurts so much to see the lyrics. Idk why.. But Bigbang's music never fails. Even when they were involved in many scandals, they make great songs like MONSTER and STILL ALIVE (2012)for their fans who left them, and they could stand strong till the end. thats why they are KINGS OF KPOP
About "Last Dance": in South Korea every male has to serve in the military by the time he turns 30. TOP, at the oldest, was going to have to go to the military soon which was why the song ended with him. It started with Seungri because, as the youngest, he wouldn't have to go the military for a little longer. The song was dedicated to the fans because it would be their last dance with the fans until after their military service was over. That's why you had all the people going around the group, they symbolized the fans.
Still Life? Wow! The boys looked so beautiful. They had 4 chairs together and 1 single chair by itself. I guess it symbolizes that 4 members are still together even if the 5th one is away. I haven't heard them in a long time and watching your video reminded me of how beautiful Seungri's voice was. What a waste of amazing talent.
BIGBANG has been through so much. They have made mistakes and been open about that. They have been hated and lied about, vilified and stalked. And yet the Korean general public loves them more than anything. If you really dig into them, just know that they are human, and never pretended to be anything else. Watch THEM, not stuff about them.
Oh God 4 emotional songs in one go, okay... I need to emotionally prepare for this as a decade long VIP 😭 But I really appreciate you making this video.

Just to let u know Bigbang is the only group in korea which all member have a successful solo careers. U need to start with GD. His solos are phenomenal, the swag runs thru his veins. He is the fashion icon in korea for a reason
Still Life is doing extremely good on various charts worldwide. Many korean celebrities and TV personalities are updating the song on their social media, it's because this is their long awaited comeback after many unfortunate events that happened to them, especially since Seungri left the group, it's the first song where they're only four, and may be the last. Before the comeback a korean media reported that it's difficult for BIGBANG to come back to the industry because of their scandals over the past years, but once again BIGBANG proves that their music is powerful and their personal journey add the richness into their music. The song has been on the top of every charts in Korea since the day it was released, it's kind of a syndrome right now. As a VIP of 14 years, this song is beautiful, impactful, yet sorrowful. The lyrics say it all that they have experienced many things in life, but that's how life works, it's bittersweet, it's sad, it's hurt, it's difficult to deal with, but season changes, nothing is forever, and they're ready to step into a new phase of their life. It is what it is. The song resonates with everyone of us. The thing about them saying goodbye to their glorious young days is about letting go and moving on. Now that it's only the four of them, I think it's difficult to continue as BIGBANG because Seungri has been a big part of them, he's the mood maker of the group, like the four of them love teasing him, they love the presence of him in every situation, and he's like the one who connects the great BIGBANG to the audience, I mean BIGBANG is musically acclaimed and well respected in Korea, it'd be so hard to connect with them, but there's Seungri. Now that Seungri gone, they may be want to leave BIGBANG as a legacy, not disbanding, just telling their fans that they're going into their new beginning through this song. While other YG artists put their pictures on their profile in YG website, BIGBANG puts their logo from the latest album MADE, the five stripes that represent them. Well, before the song come out, I personally think that it's gonna be a new era of BIGBANG but after listening to it and watching the MV, it makes more sense to me, it's better this way. I'm bawling but I'm not complaining. I happen to see an Instagram story from a korean rapper who updated the song, he said "if this is a feeling that my fans have after listening to my song, I will be making music forever" Sorry for the long post, RJ, I'm just trying to moving on.
I just want to say aside from talented n genius artist, bigbang is human being, they only human like us who prone to make mistakes in our daily life....we cannot expect them to be angels, we should love them as who they're...becoz for me the most important thing is their music...n if they made mistakes, pray for them to change to be a better person n cameback with new good life
Last dance was the last visual MV and live song they made before TOP went into the military. So it's been 6 years since we have seen them with a new MV like this.
Still life has alot of hidden meanings. Though, to us VIPs, it is so emotional because even though Seungri is not part of the group anymore, they still show him in this MV and the song as well.
"Last Dance" was their goodbye to us before they started their military service, hence why TOP looks emotional at the end when fans are heard cheering in the background. They were at the top of the world and it suddenly spins out of their control because you can't avoid military service, so they had to go against their will. The song is dedicated to themselves and VIPs. The girl GD hugs represents VIPs while the world goes on without them (people with bags moving past GD and leaving him behind) because their time would essentially freeze during the hiatus. After TOP left first, they released "Flower Road" as a promise to VIPs that they would come back and asked us to wait for them. So we waited for almost five years, and "Still Life" is them keeping that promise because the flowers have finally bloomed after a harsh winter. In "Still Life", they are saying goodbye to those painful moments and are looking happily at the future. I'll try to explain a bit of some theories. For Taeyang, he's surrounded by yellow flowers representing the fans and a lamb which could hold biblical meaning since our man is very religious. His whole part seems to be a hope for the future and letting go of the bad moments. The Psalms 30:11 meaning goes like this according to a website: *Those hast turned for me my mourning into dancing* This, with what follows, expresses the success he had in seeking the Lord by prayer and supplication; there was a sudden change of things, as it often is with the people of God; sometimes they are mourning by reason of sin, their own and others; or on account of afflictions; or because of spiritual decays; or through the temptations of Satan; or, as it was the case of the psalmist now, because of the hidings of God's face; but this mourning is exchanged for joy and gladness when the Lord discovers his pardoning love, revives his work in their souls, takes off his afflicting hand from them, rebukes the tempter, and delivers out of his temptations, and shows himself, his grace and favour; *thou hast put off my sackcloth;* which was used in mourning for relations, and in times of calamity and distress, and as a token of humiliation and repentance, ( Genesis 37:34 ) ( Esther 4:1 ) ( Jonah 3:8 ) ; *and girded me with gladness;* by these phrases the same thing is signified as before; see ( Isaiah 61:3 ) . For TOP, he's got the "rabbit on the moon" scene which is an ancient legend in many Asian cultures. The rabbit is said to make rice cakes in Korean folklore, but it's also said to be the companion of the Moon Goddess who was banished there after stealing an elixir of immortality. TOP wears a scary mask of a rabbit and dances around as if he doesn't care he's alone on the lonely moon. When he says he'll let go of his anger and pain, takes off the mask and sees quite calm and a bit lonely. He also keeps looking at the lit up Earth in the distance, maybe showing he's been alone for a while but is planning to go back. This lines up with his plans to open a company and do a solo album soon. Daesung mentions growing and we see two versions of himself - one that looks like him from five years ago and the other his grown self. There are no hands on the clock, showing his time froze and he's in the same place despite growing. I think this means that while his body grew up, he may feel as if he hasn't gone anywhere in life, but he's ready to say goodbye to his youth and move on. You can see someone sitting in the chair behind him in a few scenes, hinting that this is his younger self and trauma that he's moving away from. Nobody knows who is actually sitting in the chair. There are also the four chairs lined up that Dae sits in the third one. I think this lines up to GD having his own chair - the chair of leader with his name on it in his own scene - and the four chairs where Dae was the second youngest. The final chair beside him is damaged and is likely reserved for Ri. GD's reminiscing about the past. You see his younger self from 5 years ago on the wall with a construction sign and "Wrong Way" in front of it, which may be saying that he moved away from who he was five years ago and changed as a person - in what way who knows. There are also writings on the wall that say "do not let life give you lemons" which is a reference to the popular phrase "when life gives you lemons"; and "They Want?" which may be a reference to the public and/or media. There's also a trespassing sign with "LOL" written near it, which may reference how it's difficult for them to get any privacy, especially after what happened to them. "Vivaldi" is a composer who made the classical pieces called "Four Seasons" - the most famous one likely being the piece for Spring. Tchaikovsky is also a composer who made famous pieces such as the "Waltz of the Flowers" and is also responsible for the music behind the famous ballet Swan Lake. You can also see him sitting in the chair he used during his solo tour while VIPs appear raising their lightsticks. The MV actually ends with their five lines from MADE era, one line representing each member. It's a bit strange to see this because usually groups alter their logos for each era but BIGBANG decided to keep theirs from five years ago.
The meaning of the MV "Still life" Idk if you know but Bigbang especially t.o.p had a very very hard time during his military time bc of scandals (he admitted in his recent interview that he thought of suicide) and it's just them talking about all the time that passed since we last saw them and how they feel. (T.o.p talking about new beginnings + leaving yg) (gd reminiscing old days with vips)
That's what a group with personality is. I mean, most kpop groups are just some performers. BIGBANG are MUSICIANS, composing, singing their own music, having a unique style. They deserve the 'Kpop KINGS' title. There is no other group that deserves this title. Glad the KINGS are back. Kpop is boring without them
I find it interesting for westerners having hard times to decode the storyline while Asian can get it right away because this kind of storyline is too common in our dramas during that time 😂
Rightttttt....most westernes couldn't grab the gist of the storylines like in 'lies' n ' haru haru' it just a simple story actually even without lyrics
actually im not a VIP, but when i was junior highschool , knowing and listen to their music. YAS they're KINGS ,, and i would say it louder, they dont have a bad songs. "Last dance" and "Still life" always makes me got goosebumps :")
Still Life - I think every VIP cried over and over again while listening to this...my VIP friends and I did a Gmeeting and wait for it in the midnight...we all sobbing and quiet while watching it for the first time...Only VIP knew what it feels like...only VIP knows how painful is this.
The reason the camera is spinning in Last Dance was because it reflects the world spinning depicting that time goes on which can also be seen by the large groups continuously walking around the members who are wishing for time to become stagnant to stay in the moment. That was the last song they released before going onto enlistment and hiatus.
i’m glad you brought up the beatles because this song inexplicably makes me think of queen, especially the way it’s structured around the la la la breakdown part.
Still Life makes me cry and happy all at the same time. Happy to hear these voices again, and so very sad because this is for sure a good bye at least for now song. As to the LaLaLa, it is also referring back to the debut song
I definitely get what you mean by comparing across the universe and still life. It has a certain sadness to it while being nostalgic for times gone. I could write a whole paper picking apart the music video and the lyrics.
My first Bigbang MV was Haru-haru back n 2009, listening to this again makes me emotional. It was a master Piece, the song, the acting the story it was everything.
I got into Kpop like 10 years ago, and then stopped listening to it around 2016 when I entered college. And a few months ago I started listening to it again but I was so lost in the news groups and songs since I was out for like 6 years~~ but BB decided to comeback just on point, I mean there are my anchor in the Kpop world lol ❤️ I love them so much

🚨A brief explanation background of the song Monster, Last Dance & Still Life🚨
🔹Monster was released on 2012 ALIVE album alongside with Fantastic Baby. Monster is song for VIPs who left Bigbang because of all the scandals that happened to BB in 2011. Monster tells about Bigbang is humans too, they can make mistakes.
[Fun fact: all songs on ALIVE album are Title. no one has ever done this]
🔹Last Dance is a special song for VIPs. more like a promise song and a temporary goodbye song because TOP will be enlisting in the military and the other members will join the following year.
[fun fact: Still Life the Korean title literally translation for 4 seasons, spring summer fall winter]
thank you so much for this!

Thought YG is pointing that DISPATCH is monster, a real asshole 😡😂
I'm adding still life to the other two songs , I cry rivers whenever I listen to them , monster an haru haru are meaningful too , VIP UNTIL WHENEVER 💛

Agree VIP until whenever... Ot5 always in our heart
The lalalala part is not only an enhancement but is also a reference to their debut song LaLaLa
So she came up with a plan and asked T.O.P. to "please act like you have feelings for me and that you are stealing me away from GD."
Essentially, the girlfriend was thinking that, "If GD is mad at me it will be easier for me to say goodbye and for him to get over me once I am gone." So T.O.P reluctantly plays along.
🚨Haru Haru MV storyline:
Bigbang has taught VIP to be mature from the very beginning.
TOP returns GD and Min Young's couple rings (in Korea it's common for couples to have a couple's ring, like a anniversary ring)
as you can see at the end of the video, it's too late.
BIGBANG is good at making songs with happy beats but sad lyrics. You will dance happily but will cry later after you know the lyrics translation.
please react to: "VIP - the most savage fandom in kpop"
the reason VIP is so different from other fandoms is here. you might be surprised because you rarely see this in your KPOP comfort zone.
these are some proofs that Bigbang is an untouchable group. the public still love them and some media hate it LMAO.

The meaning of the MV "Monster"
This song was their first comeback after Daesung and G-dragon got involved in some scandals. A lot of VIPs left the fandom because of that and people were basically giving up on them. The meaning of the song if you read t.o.p's verse says that "people turned their back on me but what hurts me most is that you're one of them" talks how they felt after fans left them and the songs basically says that they're not monsters/bad people
I discovered bigbang well after Monster. Would you mind explaining what scandals GD and Daesung were involved in?

Same. I feel the same. BIGBANG has always a special place in my heart. 🥰
I feel the same too. That's why I never Stan other groups aside from BIGBANG (and 2NE1). Everytime I tried listening to songs of other groups, I could really feel the difference, that there is something is missing. So, from then on, I stuck to BIGBANG music. 😅😅

Rj Haru Haru is our anthem song btw😁
Up!
Just want to add that a sackcloth is worn as a token of mourning.
In addition, TOP is revealing that while he has been in despair, he was ALSO angry that some enjoyed the pain BigBang experienced. In Korean society, the very people worshipped are expected to live without any human character flaws. As if. Love my BigBang men,all five.
Only me VIP talk:
the fact that I've seen a lot of musicians, Korean hip hop artists and actors/actresses sharing the joy of BIGBANG's comeback on social media just shows how much they miss Bigbang's music.

Rj, the MV is right in front of my eyes but I can't believe they're back until my tears fall without me knowing😭
I've been a VIP for a very long time. more than 10 years now..
seeing them back with all the bad things they've been through in the past and comeback with a promise song for a new page makes me cry like a baby😭 they are talking about reall stuff in this song💔
In regards to Still Life, I have some insights from me and others:
I focused mostly on tabi (top) and you may already know about the rabbit in the moon folktale but if not I included it.
Tops bunny on the moon: it's a call
back to the folktale about the rabbit
in the moon. There once was a
village where there lived a rabbit, a
fox, and a monkey who often played
together. One day, the Great
Emperor in the Heavens decided to
test the animals' loyalty to him. He
came down from the sky disguised
as a beggar and asked the animals
each to bring him something to eat.
The three generous animals
instantly set out to honor the poor
man's request. The fox returned to
the beggar with a fish: likewise, the
monkey with some fruit. The rabbit,
being a small and more limited
animal, unfortunately was only able
to bring back the grass he could
gather. Ashamed at his feeble
offering, the rabbit, in an act of
self-sacrifice, proceeded to ignite
the grass he'd gathered and threw
himself into the flames to be eaten
by the beggar as a meal. The action
of the rabbit so touched the beggar-emperor that he placed the
rabbit in the moon to become its
guardian and surrounded him with
smoke as a reminder to all of the
rabbit's noble death. Thus was born
the Legend of the Moon Rabbit to be told for centuries to come.
And so TOP, after his suî€!dë
attempt and everything that
happened to them as a group and
how the media and fans turned on
them, after throwing himself into
the fire to feed those he cherished
and or served, is on the moon,
watching from a far after his
sacrifice of a version of himself,
ready to begin a new. His rabbit
mask is also Lowkey monstrous...
It's also shown in the kaneki mask
he wears. The world wanted to paint him as a monster. That look he gives the camera? It's not charisma. It's a defiant "you hurt me, I hurt me, but
I'm still here. I chose life" and then
we see the words life later on the walls. Because they all chose to
keep going. G dragon echos that
look later, when he closes his jacket
and looks at the camera with his
chin out. His director chair, as he
was behind so much of bigbang and
yge in regards to music and
aesthetics etc., He's the
mastermind... The rest of the chairs are the rest of the group.
DAESUNG is looking at their memories, things that they cherish,
their youth. Taeyang is on a ship
after a battle, with the flower road
around and under him (symbolizing
the fans as our lightstick is a flower/crown) with his faith (Bible verse) behind him.
The mv ends in black and white,
"still life" as in the type of art,
because its just a moment. A part of
their journey, talking about the
feelings they have for the things
they now need to move on from.
With love.
The lyrics themselves are actually very much Korean poetry and the English translation won't do them justice but they're about transitioning essentially.
It breaks my heart but I do intepret it as a goodbye song, at least to the
bigbang we knew. I cried and cried when I first watched it.
There's a lot in that video and lyrics that VIPs will notice. But it's so hard to explain it all without giving the details of the references and my
brain doesn't wanna let me lol.
He is no longer part of bigbang and while we cherish the memories forever and are never ashamed of what he gave us, I'd wish people would respect that.
and i cry again
I'm crying. 😪
Now you got me crying into my pillow at 4am
Bigbang was creating music to express, not just to impress.✨I hope you can check their liver performance too 🥺 they have performance in MAMA too where they performed their each individual song then Fantastic Baby. It’s fun where you can see all kpop groups are having fun.
I don't think he will check out their "liver" performances. I know for sure that he reacted to their "live" performances by now. Lol. 😂 😂 😂
Have a good day fellow V.I.P.!
When even Koreans had a hard time translating the lyrics of Still Life. It is very poetic. I recommend you watch Andy and Jas video for proper translation since some words have no direct translation to English :)

The "La la la" part in Still Life is a throwback to their debut song that had that title.
The meaning of the MV "Last Dance"
Last dance was their last comeback before they left for military (and as 5🥲) it's basically saying that this will be their last dance with us before they leave and that it'll take a long time before they're able to comeback again (it took them 5 years) it was their temporary goodbye song for VIPs
Brooo all of his most viewed videos are of Big Bang and that couldn’t make me proud enough 😭😭😭😭 BIG BANG DESERVE AL THE LOVE AND SUPPORT😩❤️
The meaning of the MV "Haru Haru"
(Bigbang all knew the girl had cancer except gd)
So its basically gdragon being mad at t.o.p because he's hanging out and "dating" his girlfriend so he thinks shes cheating on him but at the end when t.o.p gives him the ring he explains that he (t.o.p) was hanging out with her so he (gd) could get mad at her and hopefully not get hurt/sad when he learns that shes dying.
Theyre basically "protecting" him and trying to make her death less painful on gd
Just came to say that T.O.P actually created the position of the low tone rapper that every 4th gen fandom is fighting over now to say who's best
Actually, if you hear the background of TOP part, you can hear a special voice that sing "i miss you" in korean...
💛💛💛💛💛
I was curious to see if you were going to notice that she was sick. Many people don't realize that it shows her hair falling out; they just vibing to the song. When TOP gives the ring back to GD he tells him he is sorry for lying to him and that she really loves GD. (something like that)
I love the progressive manner of your reactions. BTW: It gave me Beatles vibes too.
So glad I wasn’t alone in that thought 🥹💙
@@rjkpop Similar to Hey Jude. Towards the end of Beatles era.
Fun fact: Treasure's vocal trinity (Yedam, Jeongwoo and Junkyu) performed "Last Dance" on YGTB's finale

Fun fact: The actress in Haru Haru mv, Park Minyoung, is a successful actress today.

@@mhdfajar2427 the fact that they're bff in real life haha
Bigbang is known for their poetic lyrics and they did it again.
the moment we heard "Monster" after all the scandal they've been trough...it really hits different back then, for we all know the meaning behind this song...this song were dedicated to VIPs who leaved them after what happened to them back then, specially Daesung's traumatic experienced.
Still Life has a classic rock ballad sound to it so that's why it sounds nostalgic and Beatles-esque.
@@mariar3767 This trueeeee..
@@vickyzhu1133 Very much true . A lot of bad things people say online about BigBang scandals is exagerated and a lot is not even true. Most of the times is just people and press looking for views and clicks using their fame
@@mariar3767 right, it looks disgusting, like they hate but they need..
@@mariar3767 yea right, GD was never been arrested, he was just been investigated. But...the public opinion that time (and always though) to almost YG artists...ugh...😔
I honestly had some BEATLES feels from Still Life. Beatles and Big Bang, both timeless.
Omg, me too
I thought It was just me
Yess finally someone else got that too!
And legends too..
My first thought was actually Queen haha, there was a part that reminded me of Bohemian Rhapsody
Bigbang is like the Beatles for a lot of people, specially in South Korea.
TOP is the first rapper in Kpop who started this kind of voice.
Rj, I think you start falling in love with Bigbang hehe.....the more you dig their songs, their personalities, their stories, what they had through the past, the more you'll be amazed. Welcome to the hole with no way out , baby VIP 😁
yep, it’s happening! lol
I feel like the song is Still Five
I thought T.O.P was feeling guilty both for what his done with his situation before from 2016 to 2017 (scandal with drug like B.I) and Go Hara's massage (didn't answer her last massage) so that he left YG like he paid for his feeling guilty (at least that what I guessed) 🤔😎❤👑
@@novoecijanoako yeah, that's a point cause its pronunciation is quite same Fade + Live 🤔😎
@@deedeeschway9566
The way he complained about may due to Hara's message before her death,
He regreted that he didn't reply back to her message,
And the fault he caused about drug like B.I (Ex IKON's leader) + YG rule that if any one make 3 mistakes, that one is out like punishment (if he count his fault about Seungri's case cause he didn't care much about maknae of the group) then he left YG 😭
Live stage is their personality… they are called kings with a reason.. THE REASON IS THEY SLAYYYY ON STAGE !! No one can beat their live performances/ concert !!
Acoustic version of Haru Haru live is absolutely insane! 🖤💛
Last Dance was made for us VIPs for when they were on military services.
It still makes me cry
That lalalalalala and the guitar really made me feel a Beatles vibe too
Still life sounds like a good bye song, and my heart hurts so much to see the lyrics.

Im just watching you, be mesmerized everytime T. O. P appears on screen. 😍 Like, right??? Hahaha. Cute.
I happen to see an Instagram story from a korean rapper who updated the song, he said "if this is a feeling that my fans have after listening to my song, I will be making music forever"
Sorry for the long post, RJ, I'm just trying to moving on.
I love that you're starting to recognize which is which. You're morphing into a VIP now. 🥰
I just want to say aside from talented n genius artist, bigbang is human being, they only human like us who prone to make mistakes in our daily life....we cannot expect them to be angels, we should love them as who they're...becoz for me the most important thing is their music...n if they made mistakes, pray for them to change to be a better person n cameback with new good life
Song Monster was my first Bigbang's song and it dragged me in to kpop in 2012. I always was more in to rock music, but this song just stuck in my head
Last dance was the last visual MV and live song they made before TOP went into the military. So it's been 6 years since we have seen them with a new MV like this.
Haru Haru is the reason they i come VIP. Since 12 years ago ❤️
Still life has alot of hidden meanings. Though, to us VIPs, it is so emotional because even though Seungri is not part of the group anymore, they still show him in this MV and the song as well.
yes. and in many ways that's obvious to VIP and those who followed Bigbang
You interpreted the true meaning of the song Still Life in your first try. That is hella impressive.
Amazing and emotional reaction
Still life is MASTERPIECE 😭😭
Bigbang Kings of kpop
I still get goosebumps and heart palpitations whenever I listen to Last Dance and Still life.. my ultimate bias is Bingbang since 2006
Hence the reason Big Bang is iconic..The videos kept you intrigued and in complete awe. Nothing was simple nor ordinary. They are walking ART..
The Psalms 30:11 meaning goes like this according to a website:
*Those hast turned for me my mourning into dancing*
This, with what follows, expresses the success he had in seeking the Lord by prayer and supplication; there was a sudden change of things, as it often is with the people of God; sometimes they are mourning by reason of sin, their own and others; or on account of afflictions; or because of spiritual decays; or through the temptations of Satan; or, as it was the case of the psalmist now, because of the hidings of God's face; but this mourning is exchanged for joy and gladness when the Lord discovers his pardoning love, revives his work in their souls, takes off his afflicting hand from them, rebukes the tempter, and delivers out of his temptations, and shows himself, his grace and favour;
*thou hast put off my sackcloth;*
which was used in mourning for relations, and in times of calamity and distress, and as a token of humiliation and repentance, ( Genesis 37:34 ) ( Esther 4:1 ) ( Jonah 3:8 ) ;
*and girded me with gladness;*
by these phrases the same thing is signified as before; see ( Isaiah 61:3 ) .
Still life is the answer of last dance (some of the lyrics are related)...both song are the songs for vip (BB's fandom)
The meaning of the MV "Still life"
Idk if you know but Bigbang especially t.o.p had a very very hard time during his military time bc of scandals (he admitted in his recent interview that he thought of suicide) and it's just them talking about all the time that passed since we last saw them and how they feel.
Well... You had me literally bawling with having Last Dance and Still Life back to back 😭😭😭😭😭 Love your genuine interest with Bigbang. Thank you~ 💛
i have streamed still life for more than hundred times but i never get tired of it and till feel like crying.
actually im not a VIP, but when i was junior highschool , knowing and listen to their music. YAS they're KINGS ,, and i would say it louder, they dont have a bad songs. "Last dance" and "Still life" always makes me got goosebumps :")
The song feel and style was verrrry beatles. Its like super simple but. catchy memorable and feely
Now you're starting to get an idea of the depth of talent in this group. They can do any style and make it their own because it comes from the heart.
Still Life - I think every VIP cried over and over again while listening to this...my VIP friends and I did a Gmeeting and wait for it in the midnight...we all sobbing and quiet while watching it for the first time...Only VIP knew what it feels like...only VIP knows how painful is this.
Haru Haru is that song that can never be old. It is still good to this day.... Always go back to listen to it
The reason the camera is spinning in Last Dance was because it reflects the world spinning depicting that time goes on which can also be seen by the large groups continuously walking around the members who are wishing for time to become stagnant to stay in the moment. That was the last song they released before going onto enlistment and hiatus.
i’m glad you brought up the beatles because this song inexplicably makes me think of queen, especially the way it’s structured around the la la la breakdown part.
oh god the last part of that sentence reminded me that diamond by sparkling exists 😭
Still Life makes me cry and happy all at the same time. Happy to hear these voices again, and so very sad because this is for sure a good bye at least for now song. As to the LaLaLa, it is also referring back to the debut song
'Still life' has that kind of Queen vibe, so no surpise that you mentioned some beetles and nostalgic things.
Love your reactions!
I definitely get what you mean by comparing across the universe and still life. It has a certain sadness to it while being nostalgic for times gone. I could write a whole paper picking apart the music video and the lyrics.
All the emotional songs in one vid.
If I see it is a reaction to bigbang it is like drugs. I gotta give it a view. Can't stop myself. Love them so much!
31:50 yes he is he’s from the best vocals ever also he’s a great father❤️
My first Bigbang MV was Haru-haru back n 2009, listening to this again makes me emotional. It was a master Piece, the song, the acting the story it was everything.
Who else cried multiple times throughout this reaction lmao
i love your reactions for Bigbang :3
I got into Kpop like 10 years ago, and then stopped listening to it around 2016 when I entered college. And a few months ago I started listening to it again but I was so lost in the news groups and songs since I was out for like 6 years~~ but BB decided to comeback just on point, I mean there are my anchor in the Kpop world lol ❤️ I love them so much
