This video randomly got to my feed, and let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed when I gave it a try. This topic is something almost no one in the Sonic community dared to tackle yet. I am very happy to see a fellow brother in Christ who loves the little guy and, most importantly, so full of heart and sincerity. It takes immense courage to open your heart like that to others, even though it is a sensitive topic to you, and I am incredibly grateful you gave us your trust, and respect you endlessly for it. I feel deeply for everything that was said in this. As a follower of Jesus myself, it is certainly hard, and I can understand why you're struggling. But when we turned to God, we knew it won't be a walk in the park. It's a lifestyle, and you have to be ready to sacrifice many things for it to prevail. But even with God's providence, often I, too, feel powerless against my own wickedness. It feels like I am not enough, that no matter what I do, I just will fall again and come back to where I once began, far from His grace. It's frustrating, to say the least. Because I want to do what He would want me to do. But the thing is, we can't always make the right choices. As much as it is reassuring, it is also discouraging. Day by day, my prayer grows shallow, and my spirit weakens. But you are most certainly right. If I keep myself aware all the time that people are deeply hurt, and that's mostly why they do bad things, and commit sin, I need to have mercy for myself too. And Sonic, as much as he is a new presence in my life, came just in time, like he always has. He reminded me of one of the most crucial lessons that God gave us all: if you have time to worry, then run. Contrary to popular belief, I always thought his freedom is far from physical, it's spiritual - the only kind there ever was, and will be. He is a shining ray of hope, a true hero! The plot doesn't move him, it's he who moves the plot, and I love it about him so much. As much as everybody don't like to call him a hero, he doesn't even have to take this role upon himself, it's just in the core of who Sonic is! I'm learning to let go of what was and what will be, and take heart in front of adversity, the way he selflessly does for others' sake, from him. Oof, that was long. But it needed to be said! Know this - even if right now you feel alone and trapped, these videos are moving other hearts like yours, and we love you too! Thank you for reminding me of what all of us are here for. To save and be saved. I needed to hear it more than ever. From the bottom of my heart, brother, thank you, for everything.
i've hurt people too. we both try and speak these words of Jesus wherever we go and people hold us up to the standard of following them. like we're perfect. and thats not the point. as im anything but. the only "standard" is the new covenant which is perfection in forgiveness making every waking morning is an absolution and every night an admonishment 💯
on another note, another awesome video! I started writing quotes down in the morning a few days ago, and one of the first ones I put was "The one who chooses to forgive is the one who gets to move on."
