I bought this bible after watching a TH-cam review and it is wonderful. The large print is easy on the eye and this bible is, in its entirety, very handsome. Contains some very useful reference tools and beautiful maps. My favourite bible ever.
The margin system of this bible seems to have some similarities to the Thompson chain reference bible in the sense that both are topical study systems; in either case, both are exhaustive and thorough study systems and I have to admit that I felt a bit overwhelmed by your explanation of how this method works; for example, how are the GS4 references in Genesis 1:6 and Genesis 3:15 connected thematically? Not trying to sound "slow" but a more detailed explanation of this margin method using the G4 example above would be very helpful in case I decide to purchase this bible when finances allow. Thanks for your honest feedback. The margin system of the Sword Bible definitely isn't "perfect". It is more reference based than commentary based. The publishers themselves could have probably gone into more detail on the GS4 reference. We can draw our own conclusions as readers and as a company, but that would only be opinion. I love my Sword. I purchased mainly for the Red Letter Old Testament. I love reading Isaiah because of the Red Letter just makes it come alive. I also like that it is just HIS inspired Word and no mans input. Going to purchase a 3rd one as I gave the second one away. Lol....and then regretted it (but my Sister really wanted it) soooooo🥴

The KJV Store great review sir. I've looked at this Bible myself, I work at a book distribution center. It is kinda thick and it doesn't seem that it'll lay flat though. What's your opinion on that after you've obviously flipped thru the pages a few times. And does Whitikar publishing have any plans to release a thinline version that's not as thick? Thanks Kevin
They do lay flat, as shown in the 3:14 minute mark. That's without us weighing the bibles down or stressing them in any way. If they didn't lay flat when open, it would have made shooting the video much more difficult. Keep in mind that these bibles are both Large Print and Giant Print. Large and Giant Print BIbles are doing to be thicker, especially the Giant Print. The physics of printed word on physical pages dictates that Large Print either requires larger pages or more pages. And Giant Print requires both. Larger Pages and More Pages = a thicker bible. Just no getting around it. Thanks for your comment and question.
Hello I am wondering, are the internal study tools the exact same in the large print and giant print ? I am thinking of getting a large print but I do not want to miss out on any of the studies so I will go with the giant print if the giant print is more extensive. For the last 6 or 7 years I have kept myself from buying this study Bible. I watched this review and bought it! (You "made" me buy the kjv Lasb chronological Bible and the kjv Thompson, both excellent"). I bought the kjv giant print sword Bible - it is superb! The layout is great and easy on the eye. Same principle as the Thompson Chain. It is so very easy to do a study on any topic. A gorgeous looking Bible. Just one question. There are red and black lines to show the next page. What does the black broken line mean, if anything please?

Whats the difference between the KJV Sword vs the KJV*ER* Sword bibles? The reason I ask is that they both seem to have Large Print, Both KJV translation, both have RedLetters in OT & NT, and both have those underline thingys underlining certain words sprinkled throughout the 66 books to aid in meaning, etc. I just can't figure out what the difference is with the "ER" added on? Did I miss something? (YoTuber "Bible Believing Christian"..on her channel, she has a video with BOTH boxes pictured on her thumbnail (Red & Blue one for each box/book) for the video.) KJVER stands for KJV "Easy Reading." It is not 100% pure King James Version and does change many words and removes thee, thou, thine, etc... I have this Bible, but there are a huge number of printing errors throughout, many inconsistencies, wrong definitions, and corrective translation words, even though the publishers claim that is not what they are. Also, the paper is the thinnest I have ever seen in any Bible I have ever owned, making highlighting or underlining with ink unwise. Much of the information in the back is not of much use in my opinion. That said, I love this Bible anyways, despite its many flaws. The 12 point font, along with the size of the Bible is great, and I love the red print in the old testament, except for the mistakes in coloring properly. I use this as my Church Bible, my everyday reading Bible, and my witnessing Bible, just because it is always with me. If it ever falls apart, I will immediately buy one again. Or I will immediately buy a new one if they fix all the typos, use thicker paper and get more useful helps in the back. I do not use the study reference system in this Bible and would not mind if they made a version without it. Also, I have the KJVER version of this Bible which I think is fabulous. Just my opinions and thoughts. Hope this helps someone out there.

The text of this bible is the almost same as 1769 Cambridge except that 1. Americanized spelling(like color, parlor etc, but Saviour - 7 letters- is unchanged) 2. Pronouns of Godhead is capitalized at initial letters(like Our, My, Us) 3. accent indication at proper names and dashes 4. Archaic spellings which can not be found in normal dictionaries were corrected(like shew-show, bason-basin). Although there are some corrections to 1769 Cambrige Text ,I think it is a good bible even to KJO people.
Do all sword KJV bibles have the misprint on Ezekiel 38:6? I just got one today and saw other people who bought this bible found the same misprint . ISBN: 978-162911-487-3 Large print edition (July 1,2015) is the print. Over all great Bible easy to read with a font size 12.

Yes, the Large Print Personal Size does lay flat when open as well and as shown about the 3:18 mark of the video. It will take some breaking in to lay flat at "Genesis" but the more middle sections of the bible will definitely lay flat right out of the box.

Known issues with the Alexandrian base GR texts can no longer be ignored. Thank you for that link, it helped me a lot. I've been reading the bible for 10 years but today I'll be receiving the sword bible, my first KJV. From what Ive been seeing lately about the new translations I feel like it might as well be my first bible.
In one video I watched about the 1611 KJV Bible, as well as the 1560 Geneva Bible, and others that came before that version in the 1500's, the pastor claimed that the 1611 KJV Bible was translated from the Latin Vulgate. Is that a Jesuit deception, because I know that's not true?
According to Wikipedia, the Latin Vulgate was primarily consulted for the translation of the Apocrypha only. The New Testament was translated from Greek, and the Old Testament was translated from Hebrew and Aramaic: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_James_Version We believe that the Latin Vulgate was certainly "consulted" in other areas of the KJV Translation work, but primarily only for an "extra opinion" where the Hebrew, Greek, or Aramaic or previous English translations such as the Geneva were not 100% crystal clear for English translation. Do all sword KJV bibles have the misprint on Ezekiel 38:6? I just got one today and saw other people who bought this bible found the same misprint . ISBN: 978-162911-487-3 Large print edition (July 1,2015) is the print. Over all great Bible easy to read with a font size 12.

can you compare the "Life in the Spirit" study bible with "The Sword" study bible?

dose the large print personal size lay flat when open???
Yes, the Large Print Personal Size does lay flat when open as well and as shown about the 3:18 mark of the video. It will take some breaking in to lay flat at "Genesis" but the more middle sections of the bible will definitely lay flat right out of the box.
Is this study Bible related with the KJVER by Gem Publishing?
The original Sword Study Bible was published by GEM Publishing, yes, but this is the KJV (not KJVER) and is now published by Whitaker House.

I wish to ask a question without stirring up a hornets nest: due to the extraordinary popularity of the NIV, I've been preaching out of the NIV84. Known issues with the Alexandrian base GR texts can no longer be ignored. However, I've never had a KJV before I saw this Sword Study Bible which makes this move to the KJV do-able for me for the very first time in my life. Yet, I know that the KJV is not perfect and that there are known problems. Where can I find a concise list of known problems for the KJV?

I have a KJVer Sword Bible. Be warned...super-thin pages. Even a yellow Zebrite marker will easily bleed through. You need a wax-like marker for highlighting. Like a Hi-Glider Gel pen or a Mr. Pen Gel pen marker.

In one video I watched about the 1611 KJV Bible, as well as the 1560 Geneva Bible, and others that came before that version in the 1500's, the pastor claimed that the 1611 KJV Bible was translated from the Latin Vulgate. Is that a Jesuit deception, because I know that's not true?
According to Wikipedia, the Latin Vulgate was primarily consulted for the translation of the Apocrypha only. The New Testament was translated from Greek, and the Old Testament was translated from Hebrew and Aramaic:

We believe that the Latin Vulgate was certainly "consulted" in other areas of the KJV Translation work, but primarily only for an "extra opinion" where the Hebrew, Greek, or Aramaic or previous English translations such as the Geneva were not 100% crystal clear for English translation. That is our understanding.

We did not "dismantle" the Doctrine of the Trinity. Scripture after Scripture supports the doctrine of the Trinity in that God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit are the same triune God. Our company does 100% believe in and support the doctrine of the Trinity. It is not a "lie".
