Why is it designers always take world renowned brands as examples. They're not known because of their design, they're known because of massive exposure. The logos have gained identity along the way. Not the other way around. There's still a difference between good and bad design of course...
Thank You For this. In every video that speaks about logo design, they always mention the same sentiments. Forgetting the main aspect of making a brand memorable and well recognised..."Exposure "
Think about this if a brand have bad logo design then how people will remember that. It would be so tough for people to recognise the brand even if they have solid product.
@@ShilpaChoudhary-j7g Wow. So many well known brands have a very bad outdated logo... But that' didn't stop people from remembering and recognising them every time. Many businesses have amazing logo designs, but no one even remember them even if they see their logos multiple times.
The most important thing about video is. ... It grabs attention through calming voice tone. Clean and engaging presentation design. I definitely repeatedly watch your videos sir.
That's what my art teacher taught us about logo design back in 2002/3 in school as well. She was a very peculiar and strict person, but heck did we learn much from her.
Satori, your videos were the first I watched when I started my graphic design journey, back in 2020. About this video, you are mostly correct but for many cases...it depends. Every project has it's own niches. I think minimalism and extreme simplicity isn't always the way to go. Not all clients want an icon for a mobile app for example. In some case a more intricate logo can work better. Also Nike logo (which is considered to be the best of all time), I believe it is highly recognisable because we see it every day everywhere. A large percentage of people you meet out there wear something with the NIKE logo on them. I don't doubt it's brilliance, though. Anyway you're one of the most successful youtoubers in the design area, and you deserve it 100%. Thanks for all the knowledge you're sharing with us and for the inspiration.
I totally agree. I think Nike is the worst case study that designers use when talking about branding because it is so engrained in our minds that it will always look like Nike even though it's just a check mark. If that brand came out today and came out with that swoosh then it wouldn't be nearly as recognizable or standard in our minds. It's easy to use it as a case study when it's something everyone knows and has known for 50 years lol
Great points, thanks. The 'minimalism' aspect was a poor choice of wording there. It should have been simplification. A means to reduce back clutter and over detail on a logo.
This is very helpful! It's useful not only for the website version but also for mobile displays and tiny app icons. Simple designs are memorable but quite hard for me to create. I really need this guide. Thanks!
This video is super informative-thanks for breaking down logo design so clearly! I love how you emphasize simplicity; it really makes a difference. Quick question: What do you think is the most common mistake people make when designing logos? Looking forward to your thoughts!
Hi Sir, your content is top-notch & I've learned a lot from your videos. Just a small observation, your youtube banner seems slightly misaligned. One side of the text touches the edge while the other has more space and your picture isn’t perfectly centered. Since you emphasize precision in your design tutorials, a quick adjustment would really polish it for the detail-oriented viewers like me. Thanks!
Congratulations man! Hope you the best. I would love to know where did the earning process started. 2025 seems overwhelmingly frustrating. Thanks in advance!

@@SatoriGraphics and also don't use Nike case study we know that logo and you know that everyone use it. @@SatoriGraphics completely agree. if you have a bad mark or identity it can be spread through the market gaining recognition power BUT ridiculed there on by the market. these bad brands fall through the cracks and become mainstay due to high investment but low brand strategy. Take VIBE petrol for example (absolutely atrocious design), has been popping up all over my city. Its highly ridiculed and not taken seriously as a brand BUT seem to be doing well financially as a service as i see more and more of its ugly petrol stations popping up everyday. (hmm but maybe this is all done on purpose; creating a cheap looking brand identity comes off as cheap offerings/fuel to customers? black and gold vs premium etc). What do you think? VIBE is iconic. Iconic for being terrible looking. BUT they must be doing something right brand psychology wise to stay in business vs a well executed brand such as 711 or Caltex.

I beg to differ. You lookn at logos today and they are suited for the smartphone era.
logo recognition power works the best through repetition in the market.
true indeed, but the initial design still needs to be iconic enough
