Great album, but this should have way more views than 6k after a few weeks. I can't help but feel the album image art was a hindrance to the view count. I almost missed this one completely and wrote it off because of the weird album image, but noticed at the last second it was Midnight Danger. Something about the album art is just a little off-putting (the super cheesy expression, the weird jazz hands pose...). I'm used to seeing really interesting hand-drawn artwork in a retro future style, but the image used seemed a bit off the mark.
James Orrell I kinda see where you’re coming from. Just look again as you’re listening and be sure to take in the background for context and you might find the image more fitting to the soundtrack. It doesn’t make the best reach out and grab you first impression though.
Just my anecdote, but the album cover was literally the reason I listened to the album (as I immediately loved it). This was also on Bandcamp (and not TH-cam) though, so that may or may not have been a factor. That being said, I don't doubt that many had the same reaction that you did.
