Thanks a lot for your wonderful videos. I use them very often to help my students understand Spanish grammar. However, I agree with a poster below that it's easier to say we drop the "-ar" and add "-ado" and drop the "-er" and "-ir" and add "-ido".

As far as your question, I'm slowly trudging through these concepts! I don't have a timeline for when I'll get to them all, as I tend to wait for inspiration for each episode. But [fingers crossed] hopefully I can get those up eventually! ;-) That is the long-term plan.

Hi Senor Jordan, here I am at the very end of your list. First of all, Thank you SOOO much for your videos. I am a high school teacher and I teach Physics. I am Chinese and I lOVE to learn new languages. I started watching your videos about two months ago and I've been taking notes on flash cards. I have 600 single spaced flash cards now (I know. We teachers do have a LOT of time. ;)). I studies Spanish by watching your videos solo and I am very comfortable talking to people now. I did some research on Spanish verb tenses and found out that there are some tenses missing on you video lists. I tried to learn them from Professor Jason’s channel but I have to say that I love your videos much more. Your videos are short, fast pace, and very well organized. I am wondering if you have time to make some more videos soon or have some resources to recommend. These are the tenses I’d like to learn: future perfect and past perfect in indicative mood; imperfect, present perfect, and past perfect in subjunctive mood; conditional perfect in conditional mood. Thank you again for all the work you’ve done. BTW, I'd like to order a shirt from you. But size small is too big for me. :(

So in spanish have or had have conjugations similar to verbs?
Not sure what exactly you’re asking.
In the event we’re saying “have (done something)” or “had (done something)”, then the “have/had” will be conjugated like other verbs with the endings, yes.
However there is the second word we also have to add for the “(done something)” meaning which won’t really follow those rules for other tenses.
Ex:
(Yo) He hablado. - I have spoken/talked.
(Yo) Había hablando. - I had spoken/talked
(Ellos) Han comido. - They have eaten.
(Ellos) Habían comido. - They had eaten.

My friend who is Spanish says that you are not good and make too many mistakes and we only watched it for 2 minutes. Its not the accent that is the problem, just the grammar

I think it would have been more helpful if you'd said that you take the stem and add -ado for -ar verbs or -ido for -er & -ir verbs

Why must any mention of Spain refer to clubs in the Islas Baleares, the Sagrada Familia, and the running of the bulls in Pamplona? He forgot at least to mention la paella and el flamenco.

I think #9 should he "un persona famoso". Even though persona ends in an A, I think it's masculine.
Actually, some words are always masculine or always feminine regardless of who they describe. Weird right? That’s because this is grammatical gender and not referring biological gender.
Two I can think of off the top of my head are:
la persona
la víctima

Yes, they both end in "ido". (except for some irregulars)
You said and wrote "el pretérito perfecto" at the beginning of the video. Did you mean to say "el presente perfecto"?
To my knowledge in Spanish it is called the pretérito perfecto while in English it’s called the present perfect. Just a matter of perspective.

How do I explain the use of "Nos ha encantado la pelicula" and NOT Nos "hemos" encantado?
I would remind them that:
“Nos encanta la película” means “the movie is enchanting to us” (we love it). So movie is actually the subject. We don’t say “Nos encantamos la película.”
So when we say “have loved” it’s the same idea:
“Nos ha encantado la película” (the movie has been enchanting to us) or “we have loved it”
If they have a grasp of how gustar also has a backwards translation, it can also be used for a reference. Hope that helps!
