In this painting demo, I show you how to paint 2 flowers with a simple and easy acrylic painting technique. In the beginning, I start by giving a basic shape to the petals using light tones of blue and pink. The next step is to give shadows using darker tones of the same colors. I moist my brush in between the painting to get a nice blending of the colors. I paint the pink flower in the same way as the blue. That's why I skipped the steps in the video. Hi This is Di from Australia, I love flowers and you capture them so beautifully. I tried your technique on canvas but found it hard due to the fact that the ones I referred from were ones you did on card . This one however done onto canvas is so wonderful. Also where I live the only paint I can purchase is Mont Mart which I felt was a sub standard paint. You have proved it is the painter who is sub standard. I have a lot of practice to do. Nice painting! Is it due to this brand that you are able to use the colors for a longer time after getting them on pallete? My acrylics dry too soon...Any recommendations for budget friendly brands?
Thank you so much. I try with almost all brand acrylics. To avoid quick dry, take quite good amount of paint on your pallete rather than tiny bit of paint and also you can mist some water to the pallete.
