    I'm so glad I found this. I LOVE LOVE your straight-forward way of teaching without a bunch of banter. You have decompressed me from another video I couldn't finish before finding this one where the woman went on on about her visit to the eye doctor and blah blah blah. I hope her eyes are okay, but COME ON. THANK YOU THANK YOU Ms. Alanda!!

    I want to say that your tutorials are absolutely the BEST. You are quick, yet explain in great detail, always prepared with your presentation and they are top notch. I wish we were neighbors. No, I wish I rented a room in your home because I spend hours with you from my GA home right now!

    The first four steps can be done in half time by doing step one and two and then duplicating. This is why they call me Quickie Vicki! Love this! Thank you!

    Yes, very helpful, thank you! These would make simple, cute cards - any holiday with either store bought paper or paper made with stamps. I may have committed to making an additional 100 Christmas cards, eek! This would be cute - something for the retirement center residents to open.

      You have certainly set yourself a task. Thank goodness for the ScanNCut. I do like the idea of making them for the retirement center residents. What a lovely idea.

      Thank you very much. Of course, you are correct. Unbeknown to me, my wife easily found them on her machine, however I am grateful to you for your reply as it eased the burden on me before I found out that she had already found them. Best wishes for Christmas.

    Cool thanks for sharing. I always thought it would be a good idea to make cutting files for all the different types of folding cards. It mite be something your subscribers mite like if you new all the measurements for the cuts and folds.

    Thank you Alanda Craft for sharing. If I want to use lace to tie the envelope, how do I make a straight hole where I can insert the lace? Basically at the 2 edges of the envelope.Should I add small rectangles that can fit my lace and the machine will cut them?

    Thank you for this video---very well presented. I have to guess that you have a graphic arts background. While I am still struggling with the Canvas software shapes, you zip through the screens and intuitively know which shapes will weld to create a finished design. Amazing!

    • @alandacraft
      @alandacraft  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jeannette Ugorji I don't have any sort of arts background. Just been playing with the Canvas software for a while now so I've gotten the hang of manipulating those shapes to get what I want from them.

      Mary Gibson Thank you Mary, and they are so easy to make. I'm from the era when it was considered good manners to write thank you notes etc and I think these are ideal for that sort of thing. And of course for writing sentimental messages to love ones.

    May I ask, what weight of paper did you use and can you use thin card?

    • @alandacraft
      @alandacraft  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately the sheets we used don't have the weight on them, but they were just basic scrapbooking paper. We haven't tried it with card but I can't see why it wouldn't work with thin card. The best thing is to give it a go, and we would love to hear how it works out.

    Hi. I've just bought my wife a ScanNCut CM900 for her christmas and so that she can unpack it on christmas day, I thought I would familiarize myself with the factory installed envelope patterns that come installed on the machine as I know she wants to make envelopes for her cards. Unfortunately, whilst experimenting, I have unwittingly deleted the envelope patterns by mistake. Can anyone please help me to reinstall the same envelope patterns that came with the machine. I don't know which site to go to or how to download and install them but if someone would be kind enough to explain how to, I'm pretty sure I can follow their instructions. I don't want my wife to be disappointed as you all may well understand. Thank you.

    • @alandacraft
      @alandacraft  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The patterns that came with the machine when you purchased it cannot be deleted. There's lots of categories in there so just keep searching around. They are in there somewhere.
