Fifteen-year-old Ikeuchi Aya is an ordinary girl, soon to be high school student and daughter of a family who works at a tofu shop. As time passes, unusual things start happening to Aya. She begins falling down often and walking strangely. Her mother Shioka, takes Aya to see the doctor, and he informs Shioka that Aya has spinocerebellar degeneration - a rare disease where the cerebellum of the brain gradually deteriorates to the point where the victim cannot walk, speak, write, or eat. A cruel disease, as it does not affect the mind.

I discovered this show last year when I was in a pretty dark place. Needless to say, I cried some much needed tears upon watching it. Aya's strength and unwavering desire to help other people has helped me see life in a whole new light.
This song really strikes a chord with me, which is why I included lyrics. Since this is the piano version, I had to leave out the second verse and chorus. Not only is it a love song to the ethereal nature of relationships, but also to the pain and helplessness of not being able to help those we deeply care about.
Thus I made "Konayuki" my ambitious start to this channel. I've never learned or recorded a song this long before. The process would've gone smoother if I weren't such a noob. Every time I thought I had a take, I found something I could do better. And many, many mistakes were made along the way.
And so, 250+ takes later, here it is. Constructive criticism is always welcome, whether it's for sound quality, video editing or my noob playing!

Hi pianonoob! I'm so curious with the S the sound that comes out from your Piano, is that was recorded from MIDI or from Audio Out(PHONES)? Cause it's so clean and noice less🤤
Hey! Yeah, it's from my piano's MIDI output. I tried recording a long, long time ago with audio out, but it generated too much noise.
@@thepianonoob9853 i see.. but can i ask you once again? What 'soundfonts' you use? Cause I've had a piano just similar like you before but the sound is not like this, it sounds like an Market keyboard.
@@greypan6271 I use a DAW and the sound packs that come with it, tweaked a bit to create a better sound.

That's true, I saw the serie when I was almost 10 years old. Now I am 18 and a medical student. One of my goals is to be a neurologist so I can be more attached to people with ataxies spinocérébelleuses. I really want to find a way to help them. Aya really inspired me to be a doctor. Wish I could visit Japan. First of all buy her diary.
