I’ve recently come back to living my life with our Lord. This song has become my life’s theme song. I hear it on the radio, at church, and every day in my heart and mind. When I feel the darkness and fear, I sing this song and feel freed and in hand with our Father. Thank you for this song! God bless you! 🙏💜✝️

Sometimes I get so caught up with what inner healing I feel I need and get so discouraged putting it in my own strength but then I listen to music like this and it is silenced and I feel at peace.
As a person who has gone through a toxic marriage, a sad yet freeing divorce, and receiving the Catholic Marriage Tribunal's declaration of nullity (we both were deemed unable at the time of the marriage to assume the essential obligations required of a couple for marriage) which is one of the biggest blessings I'd ever received, the second verse hit me hard and made the tears flow when I went to Pat's show just outside of Toronto: "Haunted by the past no more My innocence has been restored Forgiveness flows from Your veins Your kindness shown in all Your ways" He really is so good. "The Pharisees came up to Jesus, testing Him, and began to question Him whether it was lawful for a man to divorce a wife. And He answered and said to them: “What did Moses command you?” They said: “Moses permitted a man TO WRITE A CERTIFICATE OF DIVORCE AND SEND her AWAY.” But Jesus said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. “But from the beginning of creation, God MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE. “FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH; so they are no longer two, but one flesh. @@leenieledejo6849 Hi there. Thank you for your perspective and opinion. Let me first say that I respect what you have taken the time to write as it is very biblically based. And I don't question your intent to share what the Bible says about divorce and marriage. In fact, I am thankful you did reach out the way you did as it gives us a chance to open a bit of dialogue about the subject matter. You tell me to trust the word of God through the Bible, but I also believe that God's truth can be also seen in other perspectives such as Catholic tradition, as well as science, sociology, psychology, philosophy, etc, which if applied in the right way, do not contradict what the Bible teaches. For a marriage to be declared null in the Catholic Church means that while the event of a wedding happened within Space and Time, the couple was unable to properly administer the sacrament to each other. They determine this through Biblical teachings, but also through Church Canon Law based on the Bible as well as tradition, while also taking into account what scientific, philosophical, sociological, psychological, and other schools of thought of marriage as harmonized with Christian teachings. In order to start the process of declaring a marriage to be null, there has to be a lawful divorce as tangible evidence that there is no more hope that the relationship can be salvaged. From all those sources, if they were found to have NOT been sacramentally married in the eyes of God, they are free to pursue marriage with another person if they so choose. In the meantime before marriage, it is a call to be CHASTE (saving the marital act until called to marriage, as opposed to celibacy which is sacrificing it in service to God through permanent single-blessedness or if becoming a Catholic priest) as it was in the time before the wedding occurred. This complex concept is one that has been developed and debated over generations, and is still being developed and improved on today, because of the fact that the Catholic Church considers all marriages, including those within the Church, other denominations and other religions, natural and lawful non-religious marriages as valid, sacred, unbreakable and holy. So if this is true, when a couple divorces, the Church must figure out whether an actual sacrament of marriage actually took place. In fact, one big reason why annulment exists is for those who are practicing Catholic and non-Catholic Christians who have been in bad and unhealthy situations to experience God's freedom and mercy. This is exactly the reason why the second verse of this song resonates with me: This process has helped me move forward from the past hurts, restoring innocence that was lost, experiencing Jesus' forgiveness and kindness. As much as I do appreciate you communicating your perspective as shown in the Bible verses you've written, I would say that the way you have worded your comment does come across as unwarranted advice, since you do not know the specifics of my situation. What I think is best moving forward is for us to pray for each other for God's will to be realized in our lives. I hope this brings a bit of perspective that you may not have considered before. Thank you for reaching out.

@@leenieledejo6849 I have put my trust in Jesus as well, as revealed in fullness through the teachings of his Church, which we as Catholics believe he continues to work in. We also believe that Christ continues to work in non-Catholic Christian denominations as well. Your point of view is that other trains of Christian thought like Calvin’s contradict the Church. If that’s what you lean on and have faith in, great. But as I personally wouldn’t invalidate ideas brought forward by non-Catholic sources to see what other sides of the issue there are. Maybe you should also see that the Catholic Church continues to study and develop all aspects of the Christian faith. I will challenge you think… how merciful is God? How much does he love his children? Does God want us to be happy with him? How can we trust in his love and his mercy that awaits us on the day we die if he doesn’t show it to us while in our earthly lives? If the Bible the only thing that mattered to God, would he have allowed us to understand how he made the world through Mathematics? Would we even be communicating this way if not for God revealing his creation through Mathematics, science, logic, and other fields of study? If you do not agree with me, then that’s your opinion and that’s okay. You do not have the right to judge me on my faith and walk with God, nor do I have the right to judge you on yours. I appreciate reading your point of view, but i am reading your wording coming across as judgmental, rather than loving and respectful discussion. I don’t know your experiences, and I don’t need to get into detail into mine. What I can share is that through this terrible experience I have had, I have also experienced the mercy and the love of God on levels that I never would have imagined had things not happened in the way it did. I wish nothing but the best for my previously lawful wife/ex-girlfriend but knowing that according to the Church the marriage contract was null gives me peace and freedom that I never thought possible, which is a fruit and a blessing that God gives through the annulment process. I challenge you to take into account that this is a valid concept in the Christian faith. However, one consensus we can share is that we both have faith in Christ, which is meant to unite us as Christians no matter what denomination or tradition we follow.
