“Queensland is the ultimate destination for major NRL events, and we know an expected full house at the cauldron will create an amazing atmosphere, all while injecting an expected $7 million into the local visitor economy. lol... just another fob crying for a welfare check... tonga dont even have 7 million to fund the comp stupid
I like this USO the USO knows what he's talking about very smart USO speak about the truth you are one of the REAL ONES 💯. Ofa atu USO 🇹🇴
Everyone is crooks. The tonga people just like the Samoan miss out, but the King ain't say nothing 🤫🤔🤔
greed and politics - wish both sides would sit down and discuss a deal and percentage to share and be done with this. 2 corporation's = MMT local and MMT international - sit down and share percentage of profits etc, cant be that hard.
Talk tu’a Samoan uso
So...... The TONGA XIII Team is run by a White International RL Board? Damn... Heartbreaking
These Samoan trying to pollute the relationship between MMT and da supporters
The corruption in Tonga ain’t gon help the team n players ofc that’s on tongas fault but that’s the reality so as it is just leave it as it is no corruption or any bs with money. If the boys want bk it if not shut the mouth n support we ain’t the ones on the field hahaha
Facts
It’s sad to read comments from what I’m assuming are “our” people, saying that “they would miss manage the money if we let them do it” is a testament to us being our worst haters. If you have a problem with how things are run back in the island, don’t support them. Don’t be fie poko from a whole different country and undermine the people who still live there. Will I support them no matter the name.. yes because I am Tongan.. does it look like some privileged taefkapaapa shit.. you bet your ass it does. Let the people IN Tonga decide how to represent Tonga. Don’t let your ego get in the way of the culture.
Is it just me or does this panel need to humble themselves? Seems to be getting more n more toxic with no varying views?
It's just you.
oh boy do these idiots even know that.. the reason why you get players now playing for samoa ppng and even tonga is cause the money unlike rugby union.. is equal pay.. unlike before where you play for the kangaroos you could be paid up to like 100 thousand for internationals
No it’s not. The Tier 2 teams aren’t getting paid the same as Tier 1 teams. That’s why the top players sacrifice to play for their families when they could’ve been making 50k to rep nz or Australia.
@@247Tongan "The system as it is now has obviously helped a lot because the Samoan and Tongan boys who get that Origin experience … and elect to play for their heritage nations, rather than the Kangaroos, lifts the standards and raises the competitiveness, and international rugby league is a winner as a result.
"The system as it stands at the moment, selfishly, we really like it and it's very helpful for us.
"Long term, New Zealand do have to guard against that. They are conscious of that and we do talk to them, but they were the [Pacific] champions last year. So that's the wonderful thing about how competitive it is."
Bragging about this players taking pay cuts, well to compare that with the local players back in the Islands, be it Fiji, Tonga or Samoa, League or Union whom MOST are non professional rugby players at all. The Samoan & Tongan International League players are still getting wages from their various clubs. I thought for a Nation to play or host your International games, you’re to host at the very Country you’re representing. Most of the League Internationals is hosted in Australia majority of the time. The locals at the Islands are deprived of watching unless they can afford to hop on a plane go & watch outside the country.
Why don't you ask Woolf and Scott Clark where did ALL the money for the MMT that the International Rugby League made in the 2017 Rugby League world cup go to?
I will give you a hint - the money never went to Tonga!!!!!
@@thefobbie0034 went to the players dummy.. and the coach and that all that matter or like manu samoa.. irb gave money to manu samoa? what happen to all that money? went ot the prime ministers hand
Omg these guys are all professional NRL players, not like they are homegrown island players like the Fijian sevens team..they are not struggling for a dollar.. AFB and JT two of the highest paid players in the game. Do kangaroos or kiwis get a share of tickets they sell? Stop whinging just to whinge
Hes talking about money going back to the Tongan Rugby League grassroots clubs. I think you need to actually watch the video.
Yeah actually the Kangaroo players receive a game remuneration when representing their country! The Tongan players playing for Tonga are getting about TOP$1,000 per game paid by the Tonga Government and Tonga is getting NOTHING from the International Rugby League - why? Because the white man - Woolf, Scott Clark and Jeremy Edwards (ex chairman of the IRL) now control rugby league in Tonga!!!!!
There needs to be a investigation!
Exactly🤦♂️ when somethings going well people always ain’t satisfied and want more n here’s the case here n it ain’t the players but the outsiders smh if the boys are happy we should be too that’s all that matters! MMT baby!!!
What has Fiji 7s has to do with this 😂😂😂
Terribly uninformed podcast holy shit.
Guys do some research before making assertions about where the money is going.
1@petelosuaniu lol saying be honest then what the hell are the manu samoa and tongan team which are also made up of nz and aussies? they playing for our culture in front of like 10 dang fans.. and nobody give a shii when they play in europe? still crying you lil b... like some how a packed eden park.. of tongan and samoan cheering there damn team is like a negative.. go watch soccer if ya that upset
league in the islands is growing
Let’s be honest, these “Tonga” and “Samoa” teams are fake national teams full of players who would play for Australia at the drop of a hat if the NRL changed the rules 😂
“Playing for our culture” is the biggest BS I’ve ever heard. You either play for your country or not.
oh shud up then what is manu samoa? a fake made samoan team stop crying lol
@ nope, most of them were born in Samoa but play overseas. They’ll only play for Samoa as well. No other country. We did have some former all blacks last year but they were mostly useless.
@@petelosuaniu lol what are you talking about? the whole dang manu samoa team play for npc auckland and counties manukau? why they so shiiiii lol... go on name me players born in samoa playing for manu samoa?? how many?
@ Fritz Lee, Theodore McFarland, Melani Matavao, that’s just off the top of my head

It’s not about the money for Tonga so keep us outta the convo. Tonga and it’s people win and have more then enough to be grateful about just to have our boys come bk home n push our lil country to another level🙏🦾🔥
This is International Rugby League we’re talking about mate. It’s embarrassing. The money has to match what the Tongan team brings to our international game.
