I know you've been told before that this isn't Kvass. Kvass is made from rye bread and fermented with baker's yeast.

The first may have been a mistake, but I think a lot of people making shorts/videos do things "incorrectly" so that they get more engagement (since people like you will routinely come into the comments to correct things, which gives the video more engagement, which means it's likely shown to more people, which then means those people also want to comment on it, and it becomes a feedback loop)
It doesn't have to be with bread. You can also use raw honey. I refuse to use bread. Yuck.
To all the people telling him this isn't kvass, I know, you know and he also definitely knows by now. He keeps calling it kvass because he realised that a lot of people will leave a comment under his video and no matter if the comments are positive or negative, it will still help the algorithm. Thats how this whole thing got so big in the first place.

Yes and he keeps on calling it kvass because he‘s smart. It‘s a method called rage baiting. The algorithm doesn‘t care if the drink is called kvass or not, but it cares about the viewer retention, the amount of comments being and plenty of more parameters. Even a comment calling out a mistake is a comment after all

Okay so one question 🙋🏻♂️….is it 100% safe to drink coz i sus that methanol can also be formed during fermentation.
I started making this yesterday with dragonfruit, blackberries, and blueberries (I realize now using dragonfruit for the gorgeous pink color was fruitless because of the berries, pardon the pun). Should I smash up the blueberries to ensure they can broken down enough?
