A 60X40 Bengaluru House inspired by local traditional houses of Karnataka (House Tour).

- House of Bare Walls located in Bengaluru is a 60X40 house which takes inspiration from the local traditional houses of Karnataka called “Thotti Mane”.
As the name suggests this house is a display of different textures and materials throughout the house which adds in an innovative touch to the feel and finish while also blending and binding with each other aesthetically and functionally.
Placed between a dense built environment, this house draws in natural light with the help of two large skylights compensating for the lack of natural light from the window. Antique Elements like Chettinad columns, swings and dining tables have been restored and repurposed from Karaikudi.

Excellent practical home with vastu
But there is one fault, direct Sunlight opening above living room will heat the living space in Summers.
@ajinkya3780 hi we have strategically placed the skylights based on solar analysis and we have double height volume with openings to let hot air out.
To people having questions about summer, Bengaluru mostly has moderate and nice weather so it won't be extreme.
😂😂😂😂kengeri highest temperature record in summer 2024 is 41 degree Celsius

Good design with orientation of sun.
Very nice design. Wide stairs, well designed areas, right sized bedrooms for the size of the occupants. Well placed kitchen with view of the sunken living and the pooja. I am sure the young architect would have provided for ventilation at the double height area for hot air. Though the two trees give ample shade to the harsh west sun, summers gets real hot. Terrace area is really cool. All areas are well colour coordinated. Didn't know till now that tiles can be customized. A lift would have made easy for the elders in the house. Overall very nice looking house. Congratulations.
Hi thank you for this lovely message. We appreciate you taking time to let us know your feedback. And with regards to your concern about the heating up of the living spaces, we have planned and strategically placed the skylights to bring in ample sunlight, but not heat. However as a precautionary measure we have windows in the double height to let hot air escape.
The plumeria tree in the stairwell is placed for now, when required a lift can be added very easily.

Thank you for your wishes. The floating bricks is purely aesthetic feature and is designed as a part of the front elevation. Without the bricks, the balcony with only steel rafters, might look like a prison. Hope this helps!
