Bio weapon is impossible, my only "win" was it burning itself out after killing all but 8 million ish people during the 2 months of authority immunity. Time to see if Pravus has what it takes, cause it definitely is the virus that turns boys into men.
All you gotta do is hit the quarantine buttons and wait as it gradually gets stronger killing it's hosts faster and faster to the point where it can't spread bc it's too lethal.
All the basic diseases are gonna be cured. I'm gonna be curious how playing against the Necroa Virus or Neurax Worm would be like if they decide to add it

It is easier to get recoveries and then protect them with quarantines. Even easier than that is to close the starting continent off and just stop it there.
Nanovirus isn't too hard in plague mode, it's mostly luck based as you have to hope it enters the island countries before they close up. But yeah, cure mode nanovirus is toaster bath.
Last time I played cure mode bioweapon killed so quickly you could win without doing anything to help the population. And just let the bioweapon do all the work whilst you cover up the deaths. Absolutely broken strategy.

I got so close to losing, I had exactly 1 point of authority with 95% of the kill code found, when I realized I could refund the quarantines to get the points needed to freeze authority

When you play as the cure on mega brutal, people give the infected hugs, believe fake news, presumably don't wash their hands, etc, which is basically the casual difficulty for when you play as the plague, lol. To think that saving the world is hard because people are being incredibly stupid...
The funny thing is that in my first attempt of beating it at mega brutal I discovered the origin country immediately somehow. This led to me locking the disease in 1 continent and winning with only 2.6 million deaths.
I guess as soon as possible, but after kill-code supercomputing and the cold/heat resistance (just like Pravus did). Because you obviously want faster research and slower spread as early as possible. So should you buy it as late as possible? Probably not, because with high deaths, research speed will go down again, so you probably will want to have that happen as late as possible.

Fungus is tricky, but if you Just activate lockdowns on continents that have a lot of cases, and reduce the fatality rate a lot, you should be fine. Recommend getting new infrastructure to slow down the authority loss caused by high infection numbers.
Yep, I oddly had no real issues with prion, but I had a nightmare of a time with the nano-virus. It's the only plague that I haven't beaten on mega-brutal yet(probably because I haven't tried, since had enough of it after I finally beaten it on 'normal' lol).
Yep story of my life, Pravus. I’ve been playing this for IOS to get it done on normal mode for days and I wanted to tear my hair out! I managed last night which is such a relief! How I did it was to get the special abilities for the kill code and get the pro cations that reduces the lethality and infection rates. I also get the bits to increase the speed of the vaccine and put the entire world on high alert to make them aware this sh*t is real!
Funny thing is too, there was vids where someone brute forced the virus to die off on it's own.... Less than 200 mil people were alive at the end, but still showed you were able maintain authority much more than you'd think.
I beat it first when it spread to every continent. I just locked down the entire world in quarantine with leftover points so panic didnt thrash me as hard as it normally would have. I always get 1-2 stars on mega brutal, but for me, it is winning that matters not the score.

I think it would be cool to have a multiplayer mode where one player controls the disease and the other plays cur mode. There could be a head start for the plague.

The Cure game modes were really given a lot, they are so much more brutal and actually have RNG so that you have to do most of the skill and thought. Except for bioweapon, thats just plain terror
What I would do is I would choose Disaster Manager instead of Medical Coordinator, go for Emotion Dampening _way_ earlier, and only use Cycle Suspension when I need it most.
It would be interesting if you had the option to build your own nanomachines to fight the nanovirus and can customise it to do different things. Though I don't want to think about what two types of nanomachines waging war against each other would do to someone.

My game went that it started in Morocco, and I was able to contain it to Africa, but my authority was dropping fast. Thankfully I was able to stabilise at 6 authority left. I didn't even realise the kill code was completed while I was frantically buying authority and cycle suspension
