@XD4133 Well, even with movement speed avatars, reaching that speed is impossible for normal mercenaries. This guy is just a legend. He knew how to time all the cool downs of his skills in his head and is able to effectively draw them out whenever he needed to without a delay or a second thought. Because of this, he seemed amazingly fast. This level of expertise is...just unbelievable and I'm glad I was lucky enough to catch it on video >.>
@bogsgwaps193 Guantlets are subweapon slots for warrior classes in general. It adds damage and defense. All classes have a subweapon of a sort like clerics with their shields.
The interface is not blurred, though. That's how it always is, even on my new gaming computer. Are you trying to watch this video fullscreen on a monitor for 1080p+? Because that would blur it. This video is not 1080 of course. I was referring to my other videos. It is, however, 720p with low graphics. Rendering settings are just fine. Set it to 720p, then either fullscreen it on a laptop that only has 720p or make the video a bit bigger via the options if you really want to check.
@flipvhadz I'm sure aerial evasion has some number of cooldowns even when maxed. The thing is that that mercenary does a lot of aerial combos and doesn't give a break so you don't see aerial evasion working well for the Paladin. Regarding block, it's heavily frowned upon by 1v1'ers in foreign version. You can use it but it's one of those unofficial rules for the community. Divine Ascension and Divine Punishment, idk about those.
You would be right. If that was the case. However, the graphic settings are just set to low to record with fraps at the time. Fraps would considerably lower the FPS of the gameplay on my older computer. Resolution was not set to low, however. It would look much worse if it was upscaled, trust me on this. But hey, at least future videos are recorded 1080p on the highest graphics settings. You can check those out too if you want.
@Sekushu I'm unsure what you are talking about because as of lv40 PvP is concerned, the top PvP classes are Pally, Mercenary, and Acrobats. And it's actually tough to infinite kick combo the Pally class because of tank nature. Instead, one would back off and resort to heavier attacks since Pally's tanking abilities is high. But I do agree that the Pally messed up with his offensive attacks.
@icey052 Most people don't know this (unless they played foreign versions) is that there are certain skills blacklisted in PvP. The blacklist is a list of 'don't use or you are an ass' skills and almost everyone in cDN follows these unspoken rules unconditionally. Block is a blacklisted skill since it's cheap and can cut off combos. This is to make the match more exciting and longer and more fair. The same rules don't apply to NA. Winning using blacklisted skills is the same as losing in cDN.
to clarify, most of pvp damage comes from elemental based damage, so armour doesn't really add much protection; that's why you see yang yang and other top players fighting in the buff or with equipment much below their actual level. i.e. your damage is pretty much entirely dependent on the chance that you get elemental enhancements on your equips with codes. love your videos though, keep it up!

And 1v1 skill restriction is really upon discretion between the two people battling. This is because Fraps does not compress the video files. By using Vegas Pro, you can compress the video files for Fraps without losing any video quality. There are quite a few tutorials out there but I suggest googling "How to upload HD youtube videos with vegas" to see how the options are all set up. Good luck with your future uploads.

@iShow4u I think he used skill upgrade heraldys...or whatever your server calls it. It increases a skill's action/animation speed by 34% and in this case, he probably had a LOT.
kudos to this merc actually... everyone's saying you know the merc is just incredibly good ( which he is ) but more to that is that he's not even using all his skills ... he's using like 6 at most and just chaining them incredibly. i reckon what gives the merc the edge is his speed, i mean he's so INCREDIBLY quick x.x
@gamerx112 If you want a hard hitting class with slower but more powerful combos then go with the mercenary. On the other hand, if you want quick combos that are ideal for PvP go for sword master.
@jimmytwotimez only thing that moves fast is his kicks, not to mention he had maxed dash and tumble. He moves around fast with wings also but mercs can move like this now even in NA version *besides the max dash and what not*

And if the Mercenary doesn't seem awesome to you, then that's up to your discretion. To me he seems incredible compared to all the tourny videos and all the other mercenaries I've met and watched in PvP.

@asainhimself the mercenary obviously has a high level dash. example dash lv.5 gives you an extra 160% movement speed. the wings also give 10% speed bonus. which is ALOT.

one question, (I don't really play Dragon Nest, so I want to know) how does the PvP matches here work? Are the matches set randomly or you can choose the opponent.
U can choice some different type of PVP. Like free for all, team match, turn match, etc. U can turn on the balance mode, what will mean, the characters are kinda equal on gear. Example, u loes all the extra effect like extra HP / mana, etc what your higher upgraded gear give to u. So all ppl like in +0 set, during the combat. U also can kick the enemy from your PVP room, before start combat, if u do not wana pvp with him. U also can choice team, wich side u wana take. (red / blue)
@Sekushu Mercenaries are slow. Not as in movement abilities but in CDs. Their CD for their skills is extremely long but each skill does incredible damage. I'm not going to argue about whether they are overpowered or not but whether they are slow, they are indeed slow. They can't win by spamming skills since it's impossible for them. But each skill, since it does good damage, compensates for the slow. Hope this makes sense.
How did they move so fast? from Lv40 and above the mercenary and swordsman starts moving faster and dodge faster o.O is it cause new action speed crest? or is it cause of the equipment?
@Frozen1c3Cub3 yeah. I was thinking whether there is any trick to it. but it seems it all boils down to experience ==. he's dam good. I just got my side kick plate but its still slow. I just cant seem to be able to use it to close distance with a side kick+sweeping kick like how he did it. Its too slow. I guess his speed might be due to his wings lol.
lol i dont understand how they attack while walking its kinda a stupid question but when i have my my left hand on the keys w,a,s,d then while turning with the mouse with my right hand i find it hard to use left hand with keys and to press the numbers keys at the same time, if someone could tell me what there is an easier way that would be great
@greeda55 he use sweeping kick.. watch it closely.. its just so very fast that's why you did not see it.. he use side kick action speed,, that's what i think..
this is the most beautiful merc gameplay i've seen. i pvped so many cowardly mercs that just run till iron will cools, then buff up and engage, and then run again to repeat cycle - its pathetic. very nice vid.
Sometimes this game is not fair, some players have handicaps, the guy playing the mercenary has very fast connection to the game's server, with is his advantage,this is based on my experience playing this game,at home i have slow connection to the server,which gave "lag" and "teleporting" experiences, i tried to play at my friend's house with fast connection then i noticed the comparison between mine and his internet connection. it is recommended to play with fast internet connection.
The mercenary unequipped all his armor in place for more agility and speed. I never personally tried it but its hard to beat somebody whom u can't even hit.

anticipation of skills and reading your opponent's moves + a good 15-20 combo are mostly what you should possess in pvp.

@Yishiji Nope, max dash is actually pretty fast. Not only that, but a crest can also increase your dash speed by 50%. I think.

i think it has something to do with skill cool down disparity. an arsenal of skills with short cool downs will always have greater advantage.
@rapJutz They're level 40, nothing is fishy. Their skills are all higher levels, and his kicks has plates that increase his animation speed.

4:14 - 4:31 is the most incredible combo I've seen
@Yugi6020 I think the merc has side kick animation speed 50%, impact punch cooldown 12% and other cooldown skills. Equipment is always balanced in PVP

@chiaswt Part of what makes him seem fast is his kick crests XD. other than that his speed seems pretty normal for lvl 50
