Conegliano has leveled up with Zhu and Gabi. I don't think the loss of Cook and Plummer is felt at all. Gabi was absolutely lethal when it mattered most and Zhu has improved so much in back row defense and not to mention her kill blocks. I foresee another season of Conegliano domination.

There’s a huge mismatch in the quality of the squad between the two teams and it showed today. It’s unfair that Imoco has the money to pay top tier athletes like Haak, Zhu and Gabi to be in the same squad while antropova only had herself in her team but it’s the nature of the sport. I don’t see Imoco losing any title anytime soon with the money that they have.
@@enticingmay435 In realtà anche Scandicci può vantare giocatrici di massimo livello: Brenda Castillo è tra i liberi migliori al mondo, Antropova è un'opposta eccezionale, Britt Herbots è la schiacciatrice più forte della nazionale Belga, Ana Carolina Da Silva è la centrale migliore della nazionale brasiliana, Maja Ognjenivic ha la sua età ma ha una storia alle spalle che parla da sé. La verità è che Conegliano in questo momento è la squadra migliore al mondo, l'unica che può competere è Milano, ma deve trovare l'equilibrio giusto e per ora è comunque un gradino sotto. Scandicci ha fatto quello che poteva ed è stata un'ottima partita da vedere.

Gran parte delle giocatrici che hanno vinto la medaglia oro olimpica perdendo un solo set con la Repubblica Dominicana gioca lì (Sylla, Egonu, Danesi, Orro) e Egonu ha vinto il premio MVP sia nella VNL che alle olimpiadi, Orro ha vinto il premio come migliore palleggiatrice. Aggiungi un libero pazzesco come Fukudome, una stella della nazionale olandese come Daalderop, la capitana della nazionale francese Cazaute, e ovviamente una qualità in panchina pazzesca. Se dovessi limitarmi alla potenza sulla carta, penserei quasi che sia più forte Milano. Ovviamente però bisogna tenere conto del fatto che Conegliano vince e domina da anni, ha in panchina Santarelli ed un equilibrio, una solidità anche mentale che Milano attualmente non ha. Milano mi sembra un po' come la nazionale italiana prima di Velasco, insomma, quella squadra che se inizia a macinare non ti lascia scampo. Per questo la metto sopra Scandicci e sicuramente come potenziale rivale di Conegliano, riconoscendo però la legittimità dei tuoi dubbi.
The save for last ball of the game from Zhu is definitely amazing!!! no one else but the libero in Coneliano can save that ball. Even though zhuting is not powerful as her peak (age and injury), but she still doing amazing job! It will be a huge regret for me not seeing her playing with Egonu or Boscovic in the same team.

Scandicci needs to get more local players at top level in order to challenge Imoco and Milan. Imoco has Fahr, Lubian, Chirichella and Gennaro, Milan has Sylla, Egonu, Danesi, Orro and Pietrini. Even Novara has Bosio, Bonifacio, Squarcini and two Italian libero(s). It will be too hard for Scandicci to beat them if either Maja or Carol has to sit on bench.
It was a close contest. Same as last season, when the scores were close, Imoco suddenly found something and closed the gap. Scandicci played well most of the match. 👌

Poor Antropova having to carry her entire team against Imoco whose team is made up of top tier athletes. It’s not fair that a club has more money and can pay for a better squad but it is what it is. Antropova did great and hopefully the team will be able to carry this momentum forward for the rest of the local season and the Champions League. Imoco is the best team in the world right now and it’ll be almost impossible for any team to challenge them.
Its not imoco's fault and its fair enough bcs imoco get a lot of money since they won so many trophies before so if you want to have so much money you need to win a lot of trophies first like imoco

I don't think so. You can see in this match, Gabi had to help Zhu in reception against power serve from Antropova and Herbots. Scandicci needs a good defensive OH so that Herbots can focus more on attack. Allowing Zhu to leave is a win-win decision, Scandicci should get an OH like Mayu Ishikawa, Gabi, Bosetti, Gray, Li Ying-ying or Robinson.
First of all, Herbots is good at attacking, but counting on her to carry a top tier team with her attacks is unrealistic😂 She might be a star player in a mid-tier team like Firenze when she used to be in but not in Scandicci. Last but no least, calling LYY a good defensive OH is like one of the biggest joke I've heard in my life😂 Even Zhu in this form has much better defense skill than her

I agree. Scandicci needs to buy at least another world class pointer who can help her, Herbott and the two Americans are too unreliable. As good as Antropova is, she can’t do it all on her own especially when the club on the other side has the money to have countless elite athletes in their squad.

I think after her injury, Zhu became a balanced player for the team

She can't spike the ball hard like she used to. Now she is taking the supporting role, so her teammates are taking these attacking chances.
Zhu plays best when it matters the most. Come playoff time and championships she brings her real strength. Shes always been a smart player.

3-0 is not a close match. Last season sca can win 1-2 sets in a match but now, just total domination by imoco

Poor Antropova having to carry her entire team against Imoco whose team is made up of top tier athletes. It’s not fair that a club has more money and can pay for a better squad but it is what it is. Antropova did great and hopefully the team will be able to carry this momentum forward for the rest of the local season and the Champions League. Imoco is the best team in the world right now and it’ll be almost impossible for any team to challenge them.
Its not imoco's fault and its fair enough bcs imoco get a lot of money since they won so many trophies before so if you want to have so much money you need to win a lot of trophies first like imoco

I don't think so. You can see in this match, Gabi had to help Zhu in reception against power serve from Antropova and Herbots. Scandicci needs a good defensive OH so that Herbots can focus more on attack. Allowing Zhu to leave is a win-win decision, Scandicci should get an OH like Mayu Ishikawa, Gabi, Bosetti, Gray, Li Ying-ying or Robinson.
First of all, Herbots is good at attacking, but counting on her to carry a top tier team with her attacks is unrealistic😂 She might be a star player in a mid-tier team like Firenze when she used to be in but not in Scandicci. Last but no least, calling LYY a good defensive OH is like one of the biggest joke I've heard in my life😂 Even Zhu in this form has much better defense skill than her
@@重仲陳 Li Ying-ying is the best defensive player in Chinese national team except libero. Her reception is better than Zhu and her spike is more powerful. Check her statistics for national team from 2021 to 2024, figures don't lie.
@@eliso5973having OH zhu and gabi are complimentary and beneficial to both of them. It is not conincidence that gabi started to have better stats when zhu was inserted in the lineup compared when she was paired with lukasik/lanier.

È sempre emozionante osservare un duello tra due opposte così stellari. Ha poco senso fare classifiche di valore (più forte tizia, più forte caia ecc ecc), buone per le chiacchiere. anthropova probably won't stay for the next season on scandici. She is carrying the team on her shoulders, surely a club with more money will sign her for next season.
I agree. Scandicci needs to buy at least another world class pointer who can help her, Herbott and the two Americans are too unreliable. As good as Antropova is, she can’t do it all on her own especially when the club on the other side has the money to have countless elite athletes in their squad.

Obviously the OH combo is the key difference in two teams. Scandicci has so many foreign OHs to choose(Herbots, Bajema, Kotikova and Ruddins) but none of them is comparable to Conegliano's one. Instead of wasting so much money to buy so many mediocre foreign OHs, why dont just buy one good OH😂
