Dear Wally, I thank you very much for your videos, I imagine the dedication that you put in them since they are very explanatory and detailed, I am currently using Emerald for oral rehabilitation, which is my specialty. I am always attentive to your channel, many greetings from Chile.
I love the idea of using erase and fill for immediates! nice video! Now that im thinking about it I bet you could use the select and extrude tools to create blockout in undesired undercuts too.
When selecting with double click and not all the surface gets selected, you can press E to also select all faces directly connected to the selected ones
just a little tip, Wally, when selecting mesh using the red draw tool; the selection area will extend beyond what your draw in the direction of either end of the red line that you drew. Make it a habit to end your selection with a curve away from the scan and you wont have that annoying highlighting problem any more.
Great video! I used this concept in designing a partial denture. To fully print the denture, how to make male and female slots on teeth and base so that we can LEGO them after we print the teeth (white) and base (pink) separately? If the clutch power is strong, do we still need to bond them with uncured resin and cure them back? Thank you so much!
to select all of an object (like teeth)... double click OR a faster way - click on any part of the object(s) and press E (expand to connected).... this works for multiple teeth or single teeth
Is there a way to scan a full denture into mesh mixer, separate the teeth of the denture in one piece, then print the teeth and base separately and then lute the new teeth and base together?
Thanks so much for the video. Just learned Meshmixer a month ago and your video was part of the learning curve.
Just a quick tip, you can press O to optimize the boundary while selecting and replacing teeth. It will fill in little areas where you may have missed
tsl c&b thanks that will save me lots of time

good evening. how did you load stl with your teeth?
Are the scanned arches just aligned into occlusion in the scanning software, and imported into meshmixer together in that same orientation?
Taft Memmott yes all scanning software will export arches in proper alignment bases off of the bite scans
Can you share your library with me?
