Allure Vision thanks for this video and genuine reaction. Trust me this video makes grown men shed a tear. I have 2 other funeral Hakas which I believe are some of the best; th-cam.com/video/PdkC8hRoyj4/w-d-xo.html , th-cam.com/video/M6Qtc_zlGhc/w-d-xo.html. Even if you dont do a reaction video to them just watch and appreciate. Thanks

Allure Vision These haka videos are great, but the performances themselve are all still mild by traditional standards.
If you want to see how a haka really would have been performed by warriors before battle then check out the link below. This is how warriors really would have prepped themselves going to war. Your chest should be bleeding and your thighs should be red raw if you’ve done it correctly:

This was a great video. Beautiful tribute to a great man. I'm African American but was fortunate to learn this powerful warrior expression from a Kiwi bro of mine who worked for the Polynesian Culture Center , while I was stationed on the island of Oahu during my Army years. He also taught me to fight with the traditional wooden battle spear called the Taiaha. I can't say I'm a Toa (Maori warrior)...but the spirit of the Haka still runs deep...and my Mana (spiritual energy) is still connected to the land and the people after all of these years. Keep exploring the culture of these proud and amazing people sweetheart. You'll be glad you did. Peace

This is my culture and I love it when I see others take an interest in it as you have. The Haka is many things to my people. In this situation they were giving an honourable send of to someone that was respected in the sport of rugby. Thank you for taking the time to research and react respectfully. Xo

That was beautiful. Every time I come across a haka, I watch. I've seen celebration, welcome, goodbye and fighting hakas. There is something that touches your soul and even though you don't know the language, you understand the feeling being conveyed. This was very moving and I'm glad to see that the tradition is being passed on to the younger generations.

Jonny Wilkinson may be my favourite player so showing his hits when he was known for his finesse doesn't seem adequate in my opinion.

Lolo Bebel I think both videos are a must. I think for a way of introduction the hits one is my favourite but then he needs exploring more with your suggestion
I think he was known for his physicality due to the fact it's a rare trait in a fly half. He could kick but boy could he tackle for a smaller guy

I was reading a list in the newspaper of upcoming talent to look out for. I saw this name and this picture that I had to check 3-4 times. Jonah Lomu is Tongan. He was born and raised in South Auckland New Zealand. Wesley College means High School in America. They are doing the Haka which is Maori tradition. The Tongans are wearing the mats around their waist. It's a sign of respect. Those are the All Blacks of the past. They are an elite group of former players and they are tighter than a group of special forces.

If you are moved by the Haka, watch some of the New Zealand High school Haka's for retiring teachersor fellow pupils that have died. So incredibly moving.

Kia Ora! Firstly just randomly found your channel and really like your reaction to the Haka. Really cool! If you have time check out the haka that was done for Beyonce that happened a few years back, really powerful and really awesome seeing Beyonces reaction to it. Keep up the awesome vids! New Maori subscriber lol!

Thank you for showing interest in our Maori culture/ We have a very special and unique culture. There are so many aspects to our culture other than the haka, Check out Kapa Haka competitions held annually. It will showcase not only haka but waiata (why-ah-ta) or songs and traditional dance (we do not call Haka a dance). It has many meaning and will fit different occasions. There are many sites and youtube clips you can see to learn from. Also with pronunciation, vowels a,e,i,o,u are ah, eh, e, or, oooo, and each vowel ends a syllable within each word. Hope that helps

Jonah turned rugby into a professional sport...when he ran through Englands fullback Mike Catt... everybody from everywhere needed to stop him or be like him.. that's why he was a legend...
