great video, very helpful. for the brightness adjustment automation, you could use the brightness_step service for the light.turn_on to step it down to 60%. same result but can make the fade more smooth
Hi James, nice video! Do you sometimes install a Home Assistant installation at a customer's home? Or do you consider it as not (yet) suitable for the less technical consumer?
Hi Johan, I have used home assistant at non technical home owners houses, but it has limitations and you need to avoid devices that aren’t fully supported and reliable, which will actually greatly limit the number of devices you can use. And in my opinion I believe home assistant needs a really solid, easy to use and reliable wall mounted tablet of some type to be ready for the wider audience.
