Everybody missing Duck Hunt KILLED ME. The first clue was pretty tough, but no one knowing by the second clue HURT, lol. And I was SCREAMING Gauntlet! 😂
Them messing up super Metroid hurt my soul
FYI, Playstation would be correct since back then there was only that console from Sony, it didin't had the "One" in it, people added it later to distinguish from the 2.
They always be like "we have brought in our gamers" or "we have rounded up our Disney lovers" and literally none of them know iconic games or movies from the genres
Fun fact: in Space Invaders, the reason the ships start off slow and move faster as you destroy ships was due to the limitations of the hardware. It would struggle to render all the assets on screen, but as you removed those assets it would free up the processor to render more quickly which caused the game to speed up as there were less ships on the screen.
fewer ships. there were fewer ships.
but everything else you said was correct.
The duck hunt dog laugh is so iconic/traumatic! How did they not get that 😅
They didn’t play it enough as kids apparently, if at all.
Fun fact: the whole spoken "SEGA" intro actually used more power than the actual games!
So that’s why they stopped using it.
That was NOT fair because TECHNICALLY the first PlayStation was just Playstation....... It had no number.
True. The first Playstation, the square one, had no number to its name, it was later "updated" to a slimmer version, which was THEN called PSX One
@@SergioAzamuth No. The slim model is PSOne, not PSX One. PSX is the Japanese exclusive DVR console.
Jaime being a fan of the DOOM soundtrack? My admiration for her only grows 😂 She killed it this episode.
I can't believe they were all struggling so hard with Super Metroid. That's one of the most timeless games ever!
Exactly bro. These people are gamers. Hell my wife, who rarely plays games, knew super Metroid and duck hunt
Me screaming Duck Hunt the entire time.. that took me back immediately to be like 6 years old.
"Tecmo Bowl."
"What did you say?"
"I dunno."
Don't ever change Izzy lmao.
Uhh no the original playstation was just called the "Playstation" it wasn't called "Playstation 1" until the actual PS One came out in 2000, 5+ years after the original Playstation.
Ugh...don't be "That person." Nobody likes "that person"
Yes. I was also wondering why she got the point.
@@FUGP72 Ummm... they're right though.
@@FUGP72 i like that person...
Said the same thing. It was just the PlayStation
Not to argue against Jaimie's point made about the Playstation, but when it was created it was simply called that: Playstation. Not a number or such first. The proper retro name for it, is simply Playstation.
-Sincerely, a retro gaming nerd.
And they did come out later with a playstation one but it was a small white one
yep, because they didnt know they were ever gonna come up with a ps2.... of course, nintendo was ahead of the curve by already coming out with 64 nintendos..... and of course, microsoft just shot all of them out of the water with 360 xboxes
Playstation is not retro...knowing the passcodes to Super Contra is
when i got my first PlayStation, there was no number after it. saying PlayStation was technically correct...
The dog laughing at you gave Duck Hunt away for me😂😂
18:59 LOVE Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!
"Iron Mike" Tyson is very hard to beat in the end!
1:16 My brothers and I saved up and bought a Nintendo, we did mostly odd jobs to get the money (mostly lawn work).
When we bought it, we were the 3rd or 4th household in the town that had one.
The only catridge we had at first was the combination cartidge of Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt.
DUDE DUCK HUNT WAS TOO EASY! They took so long to figure it out.
Man, I got Duck Hunt immediately! Granted, it was one of the first games I owned. Maybe second I ever played? We would have played Mario first, but they were on the same cartridge.
Do these people even game! Duck Hunt come on!
Only Braian) Other plays at childhood
1:16 Duck Hunt was on the film 8-Bit Christmas (2021).
The spoiled rich kid who owned the only Nintendo and would "playfully" pretend to shoot his peers with that gun.
Lol @ the double head tilt. 13:16
every episode with izzy is a banger!!!!!!!!
She is the best
shes so funny I'm a fan haha
Her and Travis got both Chemistry together
Both Izzys are great

1:41 If Duck Hunt was hard, you need to rethink your life.
Duck hunt was only hard if you had a crappy gun
I have never yelled Super Metroid so loudly in my life!!!! Me and my brother played that game religiously back in the 90s God take me back to my childhood LOL
Them not knowing Super Metroid hurts my soul
I heard the door open, and it was over. It hurt my soul as well.
Brian, I feel you dude. 😂 I remember when Blockbuster was new and renting consoles from them. 🤣
4:18 Pac-Man is the most popular arcade game in history by total units.
The YT channel Gen X Grown Up has 24 days of Pac-Man videos, where Jon presents Pac-Man items in individual videos.
I'm 40 years old and I'm furious within the first few moments of this lol. It's duck hunt!! 😊
I'm 37 and I'm right there with you! They got the worse people for this challenge
@@wingeddragonra3953 I think that's close enough in age where we're basically the same. I was mad so many times at the whole video at these kids they have no idea! I knew most of them how about you?
Earthworm Jim was fully dormant in my subconscious, and that sound bubbled it right up to the surface.
I grew up in original NES era. And Duck hunt was not hard at all. Super easy. Even shooting the clay pigeons was fun.
As a lifetime Doom fan; the "call of duty, who is she?" burn, will be my go-to for life to roast cod kids.
Man had me scaring all the animals in the house I was yelling Duck Hunt!!!! Aww come on!!!😂😂😂😂
3:17 Metal Gear Solid (1998) "helped popularize the stealth genre and in-engine cinematic cutscenes." (wikipedia).
Duck Hunt. I got that right off...
in the arcade version of Duck Hunt you could actually shot the dog for laughing at you
I immediately knew the first one was duck hunt! Lol
How the hell did these people guess every OTHER Metroid game but the right one?
Playstation is the correct answer for bonus question 2. It wasn't called ps1 until much later.
Someone needs to prevent Brian from winking at us like that. I was not ready for that random moment of sexiness. I already fangirl over him and Sharon now you gonna make me thirst too? I'm not ready for it lol
not me screaming DUCK HUNT on the first one
It’s like they picked a bunch of video game fans and then just found Travis and Izzy to fill in that needed extra team.
she was robbed, it was NOT called the Playstation 1. It was just the "Playstation"
People always forget that. PS1 was what the small version was referred to.
the NFL is not the only place with a referee problem it seems :)
The Super Metroid rounds made me real sad.
The duck hunt dog was the number 1 douchbag in all videogames!!
Them not knowing Super Metroid hurt my soul a tiny bit
Can we get an Izzy vs Izzy or Izzy and Izzy episode 😭
Dude I was SCREAMING for Super Metroid! I knew it from the first sound effect of the door opening! One of my all-time favorite games!
I'm just saying, if we're being technical about it, "PlayStation" was right. It wasn't called "PS1".
Technically the slim was called psone
Being a gamer in the 80's and working in a video store in the 90's were equally helpful tools on this one.
Me seeing nobody recognizing Super Metroid. 😢
Please do more of guess the videogame sound i love these!?
Brain “Bow before me”
😂😂 😂😂😂
Omg. Duck Hunt was the easiest one. I was screaming 🤣
A+ video!
LOVE IT! So great to see these games again, they are such a great experience to play!
0:31 Asteroids was the most popular arcade game in the US upon its release in November of 1979 (my birth year).
The fact that they struggled to get Tecmo Bowl hurt my soul. Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl were literally the soundtracks of my childhood. I spent sooooo many hours playing those games.
Take a drink every time someone guesses Galaga
"Think of some Mario Games".
"Super Metroid".
Was it Tomb Raider?😂
9:48 I got ya beat Brian! I had Pong and Combat (tank game) for Atari in the early 70s!
19:42 "Who's that in the middle? The little Mario looking guy" That IS Mario, you donut.
the ps1 sound put me on a trip... and im dissapointed in all of them this is the one everybody should know instantly
It was worth it just watching their faces light up in recognition lol
No, that wasnt mw yelling Duck Hint, honestly. I didnt do it, you cant prove it.
Izzy, always bringing the eye candy to fhe videos!
Technically playstation 1 is incorrect as there is is the modern playstation 1 that's totally different from the OG "Playstation" console
This, the PS1 was the smaller re release!
I love the way jaimy looks so worried before answering 😭😭😭
The opposite of Brian, who is SO confident and then shocked when he is wrong! 😂🤪
"yeah, all of those things... I'm old!" Me too Brian, me too... the nostalgia is real!
Back in the day I used to buy the systems and rent games as desired instead of going all in on one system and wanting what I didn't have. It was nice having both a Genesis and a SNES, for example. Probably has a lot to do with how I nailed every sound, including the more obscure ones.
As soon as the Duck Hunt clues started coming on I got these weird nostalgia but I couldn't guess it. Then I heard the name of the very first video game I ever played. It used to come in those old cassette tapes I had in early 90's. Thanks for making me remember my childhood memory.
Yeah, got almost all of these right off the bat, especially Super Metroid from the door sound, still my all time favorite game. Made me sad seeing them not know these, especially Super Metroid. Guessing they weren't gaming on NES, SNES, or Genesis much or at all when they were younger. I still go back and play NES and SNES games from time to time. 😶
Metal Gear Solid, is my ring tone right now 😂😂
The level at which Brian and Brandel's energy matches that of me and my friends is hilarious hahaha
Why did he mention Bubble Bobble... now I'll just get an emulator and play Bubble Bobble instead of christmas lol
This episode was awesome. Brought up a lot of memories of wasting a lot of time! I wish I had all those quarters back that I spent on some of these games.
I’m going to have my parents play along and if they don’t get the bonus rounds I’m going to be very disappointed in them. Those were my main systems growing up. They heard those sounds more than anything from the games I played on them.
OH MY GOD, their inaccurate guessing was absolutely throwing off my concentration trying to answer these. I kept losing my train of thought the whole time lol
Jamie was so serious about guessing 😅
These games are the best. More of this, please!
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I have been searching FOREVER to figure out this old game I used to play on pc when I was younger and it was DOOM! I LOVED that game. I'm about to cry of happiness lol
You guys should have Retro Rick and Pixel Game Squad do this challenge as guests.
REACT, that was a really cool TH-cam video, bro. I absolutely loved all those classics games & the reactions you got from the reactors were extremely hilarious. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. REACT cast, I hope you are all having a really wonderful day/night.🇦🇺✌️🤠🔥📺🎮🕹
ps I hope everyone at the REACT channel has a really Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.
🎊🎅🎄🎁🎊
It's always impressed me how raquel & jaime knowledge in the 90s era in term of everything.. from music,food,game..even shot in dark, they kinda get it..
You go Travis. Fight when you’re right, buddy. LOL
My family has had ALMOST all of the gaming consoles……… we even had duck hunt and tried for a way to play without that dog.
Also Brien my family had the sega Saturn as our first internet hook up before the webtv
To be fair, I don't think Genesis/Mega Drive games used that "SE-GAAAA" bit until Sonic the Hedgehog.
Ok i knew i wasn’t tripping 😂
I knew from the 1st sound ... Duck Hunt! With these competitions, I find myself getting so involved and yelling the answer at the phone!
"Earthworm Johnny! Earthworm Bobby! Earthworm....Kevin"😂😂😂😂
Some of these sounds are used in dozens of games. Doom for instance took the gun sounds from Hogans Alley a little-known light gun game on the Nes.
izzy i!! 🔥🔥🔥
"Okay travis i'll give you the point travis 😰" LMFAOOOOO
Brian's always got the game knowledge locked in!!
7:07 Tekken was released right after Playstation in September of 1994 (right after I started high school).
PlayStation port was released back in 1995. Arcade version is 1994.
How do you not get Duck Hunt on the first clue?
Do another video like this. So nostalgic to see all these old games again.
Also, make a video of Kids react where they have to play some of these old games.
Especially games like, Zelda, Mario, Sonic, some of the big ones that survived and that they might know today.
I use to play DuckHunt all the time growing up. I found it easy. I love the games I played growing up.
These games are such classics omg
4:30 Space Invaders was the first fixed shooter game. (wikipedia)
It was also the "first video game to popularize the concept of achieving a high score, being the first to save the player's score." (Wikipdia) - It was also in the first episode of the Netflix series High Score (2020).
That first one was the most iconic sound and they were killing me
I think the only thing that would have made this video better is Chris’ terrible/hilarious puns! Plenty of more vintage video games to do - please make a part 2, 3, 4…!
Its embarrassing that no one got duck hunt on the 2nd try
Earthworm Jim and Power Rangers were the games I Rented most from Blockbuster as a kid.
