34:55 "one-pointed-ness" Ramana Maharshi upadesa saram, verse 14: prana bhandanat lina manasam - breath being checked, (and ramana recommended this be done by watching the breath), the mind subsides _eka cintanat_ nasam eti adah - eka cintanat means by putting the mind on "one", or placing the mind as one, or "one-ify-ing" the mind; making it "eka" - this mind is destroyed (vs merely subdued to later re-arise). Very helpful to see this angle on "eka cintanat", thank you for posting.
Sathu Sathu Sathu It's a great talk, Ajahn. I'm hoping to hear more talk like this of combining the Samathi and Insight meditations practice. Thanks 🙏🙏🙏!
Very helpful and interesting. I am very interested in meditation and try to follow the eighth step of the path ‘Right Meditation’ but it appears a goal which is unattainable for most unless one can meditate for hours and hours on end. Why is the eight step made so difficult whereas all previous seven are at least achievable? Many thanks if anyone can help me.
Some people “achieve” this by accident or in one day. It comes when the divine force wants it for you. But dedicating your life to achieve Jhana is highly recommended because it will make your life one of immense peace and joy.

There is no "divine force" in Buddhism. It is never mentioned in the Buddhist scriptures, quite the contrary. @@danegraves1143
