I can’t think of a better person who so deserves to go with his precious family. The excitement to experience how thrilled and the expression on his sweet face is a lifetime memory. His dad will make this happen no doubt….. much love❤
My daughter graduated college at 20 and her first interview was with a Med Rehab Agency to work with families who have a young one with Autism. She was hesitant and questioned her ability. I told her,” The children you work with everyday will teach you! You will find individual skills and strengths to individualize each person’s needs, interests and goals. Bridging the gap between the time you have and helping each family feel empowered and more connected to their precious angel is God’s purpose and what a gift he gave you to embark on such a powerful and beautiful journey.” The life we are given is full of opportunity and excitement to grow sometimes with our kids. I call that a blessing upon the privilege of being their parent. You give hope and possibility to people just like my daughter who learned we may be blind to a circumstance and God reveals something we could never have known unless we held the hand of a special person often braver than us❤️
I love Dino Valley Park, best hiking loops. I just wanted to say, that camping with your Son is special. Someday he may take his own kids to see the Dino tracks and he'll tell them about camping and hiking with his Dad. Great way to make special memories.
Your son looked like he had a blast. Dinosaur Valley is the closest place to us to go backpack so I've taken my kids out there several times. Great place for an intro to backpacking. Campsite 2 is also a cool site when there is water in Denio Creek. Great job to both of you.
Man, looks like Wes had a great first backpacking trip! Great job and thanks for taking us along. The flashlight, the silverware, all stuff you'll remember and laugh at down the road. You guys meet up with Jarrod and Jessie while you were in their neck of the woods? Future video coming?
Definitely made some good memories! No, we didn’t meet up with Jarrod and Jessie. Not enough time on this trip, but hopefully will meet them at some point.
We stayed at North Primitive 2. It’s about a mile from the parking area and it was great! I chose that one because it was far enough to get away from everyone, but my son would still be able to hike around after we set up camp. You have to cross a river to get there and you’ll probably want to take your shoes off for that, depending on how high the water is. The map shows a river running near the campsite but that was completely dried up when we went so be sure to bring plenty of water with you. Hope this helps!
Six Moons Designs Lunar Duo Outfitter Hiking Tent. I love it! They have two options and this is the cheaper of the two. I will probably upgrade when this one wears out.
It was good when we were there that time. It had recently rained and the water was moving so I was okay with it. Plus, I didn’t die so I guess it was ok! 😂
Another awesome video man! That looks like an epic camping spot! You'll have to check out my truck camper build that me and my pup travel out of on my channel! Keep up with the awesome content!

I’ve taken two of my kids there now-7 and 10 years old-and they both loved it. We will definitely be going back!

Hi there
looking to go this weekend and i was curious witch primitive campsite you chose? is the river dry and can you access it near your camp?

I'm totally behind filtering water but I wonder how much our immune system benefits/suffers from filtering?
What tent was that?
Six Moons Designs Lunar Duo Outfitter Hiking Tent.
I love it! They have two options and this is the cheaper of the two. I will probably upgrade when this one wears out.
So is the water good to drink? They’ve been telling me its been good with the rain but still cloudy and don’t recommend it?
It was good when we were there that time. It had recently rained and the water was moving so I was okay with it. Plus, I didn’t die so I guess it was ok! 😂
