Your face at 8:07 is priceless! I've always said that about Le'Andria, how she has that old school sound but with modern riffs. But those are squalls she's singing, not "growls". They are different. Squall is largely a gospel technique. It has way more hang time (duration) than a growl, which tends to have more throat constriction, and is largely done at the beginning of a note for a much shorter period (because of throat muscle tension). People who squall can hold that squall out much longer than someone who growls as evidenced here with one of the best squallers Le'Andria.

Kelly is a marvelous singer but I didn't feel any anointing when she sang just felt like a great R&B singer singing a song beautifully...With JC and LJ I definitely felt the power of God when they sang for some reason.....
