We won the raffle at the Texas pinball festival in March. Took home the EJ platinum edition for $20 worth of tickets. Best $20 ever spent. 😊
The Magic of Jersey Jack and the flow of Ritchie...the Perfect Pin!...in my opinion.
Cary be like Goodby Yellow Brick Road on the JJP prices..."When are you gonna come downnn, when are you going to lannd" 😂
I nearly chocked on my sandwich when you said “Jersey Jack , you did good”
Elton John was way better than I thought it would be. I only played a small handful of games but it was great each time. A very nice surprise.
I think Jersey Jack is doing good. But they need more mechs for the big money.
I have the CE on order. Steve Ritchie + Eltone = must buy.
Love my EJ CE… the price was worth it. Compare to many sterns and (even the EJ PE) and there is no comparison.
EJ CE, that topper on a Steen would be 2K or more. Rad calls verses vinyl, invisible glass, shaker, inner art blades, over 1500 RGB LEDs, back and under lit cab. All interactive with the game. The light shows… damn.
I guess if they stripped all of that out maybe they could be better priced for a pro at Sterns almost 7 K price point. JJP has a winner and the price is justified. I would pay the 15 K again…
Just my opinion/ thoughts. No harm or foul, love what you do!
Glad you enjoyed Elton...its a terrific game!
I played a ton of Elton John at this past MGC. IMHO it was the BEST game at the show. I would love to own one, but $12k is a no go. That's why a Jaws premium sits in my game room instead.
I immediately knew what to do from looking at the playfield. It's easy to learn, hard to master. I'm so glad Ritchie helped JJP figure out the flippers.
I agree 100% EJ is a great shooter. NO game is worth 12k to me. At 8k, I probably would have bought one already (it is that good of a game). But 12k on a hobby game where I've had issues with JJP games I've owned in the past... no chance.
100% percent agree
Thanks Cary for the review on this...I'll have to keep an eye out to see where I can play it in my local area
We agree again.. Man this game shoots sooo good and it looks good! I still say everyone needs to catch up with Stern on IC. Agree on the price though, To rich for my blood. According to everything I've heard/read they are selling them. Matrix will be pricey AF, get that wallet ready! That's my dream theme for sure.
That same Elton John CE pinball machine is $25,500 here in Australia. The platinum is $19800. I’m totally priced out of JJP here in Australia
Geez do you think then Australia needs to do better economically? 60 cents to usd ain’t flash. Screw pinball prices you sook think about housing, transportation etc.
JJP is moving up market, not down. The only way to justify EJ at 12k is for the next game to be more. They want to separate themselves from the poorer Stern class buyers. I predict and recommend JJP raise prices at least 10% on the Matrix.
It is a fun and beautiful game. My one gripe with the one on location near me is, the inner loop shot where you collect clothing items, is an instant drain to the right out lane. Not sure if other EJ pins have the same issue or if it's just that one.
Man what is there to say, EJ is awesome. Plain and simple. Everything about it. Hate the theme? Doesn't matter, it's a fantastic shooter with rails that go places that will surprise you. Lights, music it'll blow your mind. This is JJP's best game period. I 100% agree on price. Especially in this economy.
Truer words have not been spoken ;-) I love the pin and I will own one in the future. But 2nd or even 3rd Hand. To much money for me at the moment. But Steve did an instant classic for sure. And the music got me in a good mood playing. This surprised me more than anything.
Played the new Elton John pinball this weekend at the GSP expo and enjoyed it even though not a fan of the theme. JJP makes way nicer games than Stern now.
Just got mine yesterday, I’m in love ❤
Agree with your insights.
I stood in line what felt like forever to play at Expo. To make things worse, I had people in my damn sight lines the whole time. FML.
That CE topper, though..... Magnificent.
People in ur sight line?...... if I was there I would made it better for you scott.... I would have Todd lay on the pin for you while u play 😂😂
@@scubasteve6987, hahaha. Thank you scuba. That would have been great.
I'm not a big Elton John fan but I am a fan of the game..Best shooting JJP to date and its not even close..but I was out no matter the theme when i saw the price! But its a blast to play
As always, great video.
Elton is a very fun game to shoot. The music integration and code makes the game stand out. Flows very nicely. But the JJP prices will always make me spend my money elsewhere…..
How can you go wrong with a Steve Ritchie machine. He couldn't make a bad pin if he tried. The price stopped me too.
Yes you get a lot more bling for the money compared to a stern LE. But at the end of the day, the code is inferior to a stern. That’s why they will always be second tier to stern. They need an SE model again
Cary Cary Cary
Yeah I’m crazy for paying $15,000 but did you see what 2 them sold for at his charity event I’m talking 6 figures 😮
The game is beautiful and fun to play.
Steve Ritchie and JJP plus a Matrix or more appealing theme would be great and a more affordable price equals awesome! EJ shoots, but doesn’t score due to the theme.
if you put a Stern LE next to a JJP and look at what you get for your money.... i would like to see an opinion on which game is better value for money.... my bet is the JJP..... just sayin. whinge all you like about the price but what you get for the money is good comparatively speaking.
Why would the price go up on this? Oh yeah - b/c no one is buying it at this price and therefore, they're going to stop running it completely? If that happens and the available machines are very very limited, sure. Otherwise, no one in their right mind should buy this game until the market drops out, which it will. They're making a lot of these and they'll continue to sit at distributors.
Jersey Jack (and Stern) need to learn a lesson from Alfred Hitchcock.
Hitchcock at one point decided to see if he could make a major Hollywood film on the same budget as a "made for TV" movie.
The result? Psycho.
Maybe Jersey Jack / Stern shouldn't be so concerned about how flashy and amazing their tables can be, but instead be concerned with overall quality and price.
It’s because Steve Ritchie is the greatest designer there ever will be. Elwin doesn’t come close imo.
Wait until you see the HP price
I was going to buy one but I thought the game play wasn't that good and the music compared to G N R wasn't even close.
That price is so hard to swallow though....
alllllriight. 😊
I just wish they called it the new captain fantastic sell everyone they make
$12K?! I bought two.
I have played pinbal for a good 40 years now and currently have 4 in my line up. I don't understand why every manufacturer is relying on a licensed theme. I am sure part of that 12 grand is to cover the license fee. Why can't the manufactures design a great game, with their own theme and let it pay for itself? They could maybe do a licensed theme every once in a while. Look at the machines in history that got us here. There were licensed themes here and there. But instead of relying on licensed themes, they just made good games.
@@ThemMightyPies I see in your time playing that you have learned rudeness, ignorance and unprofessionalism.
What a shill
Complain about the price. Keep buying your cheap stern toys bud
$12k is cheaper than a Stern LE and it comes with a topper and pinstadium but better. Plus every LED being RGB mean sooo much better light shows.
