Thanks for reviewing the photography side of the ZV-E10 II. I bought it to replace my A7IV for traveling. I do a lot more photos than videos, so it was good to know the cons/limits of this camera.
@@MattyDCCollins LOL going on a Adriatic cruise in October and Turkey is one of the stops. Been there before and I know I will have a fun time using the camera.
Glad you mentioned up front there were better options if you are purely into photography..... but..... what would be the best options for photography, in same price range etc....
I think for fast moving subjects and the electronic shutter of this camera people would look like Jello when moving haha maybe grab the first version of this camera the ZV-E10 M1 and pair it with a Sigma 30mm 1.4 or 56mm 1.4 based on how far you will be away from the players when taking pictures :)
As a starter photographer (less than 2 years experience) who also wants to dabble in vlogging and video, would this be a no brainer considering I can get it for half off new?
Half off new, 100% just understand the limitations of photography but it's great and when you shoot video use an OSS Sony Lens so that it helps with the no IBIS
You could yeah but I would be mindful of the lights in your dental office because of the electronic shutter you might get banding. I’d say the zve10 mark 1 would be better for you and it’s cheaper!
Looking for a camera this size that’ll be used primarily for travel. Mostly to snap photos (landscapes, portraits, no action shots) and occasional videos. Just coming from an iphone so anything is probably better, but would like to maximize what I could get in this price range. Would you recommend the zv e10 ii?
Hey Matty, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Currently I am having A7C and planning to switch to Sony ZV-E10 II, considering compactness and travel friendly. Please let me know your thought about it ? I mainly take photo [family and friends and little video clips while traveling ]. Thanks
I don't think it's really necessary to change camera's if you already have the A7C, you get worse photography performance in the ZVE10 M2 but better video if you wanted to start doing more of that. I'd keep your A7C!
It’s better as a video camera but could work. Maybe the original zve10 could work for you tho if you don’t need a viewfinder. The canon T6 is a great option as they sell for cheap used
If this is gonna be your primary camera and you want to be able to capture moving subjects with zero worry then get the a6700. Having a viewfinder is such a need esp when you’re already spending $1k+ and you plan on ever taking it out in sunlight. You need a viewfinder for sure.

of course man, glad it helped and yeah it's so compact for travelling I'm taking it to Turkey soon here!

@5:39 it's easily fixed using the camera's anti flicker option.
Yes very true! just have to mess around with the settings for each new lighting condition but there is a work around good point!
How do you get to the anti flicker option?

It sows up as one of the options in shooting mode

So many man. A7iii, Canon R10, Canon RP, a6000
Love this video! Do you think this camera is good for sports photography? Also any budget friendly lenses you recommend for basketball?

Hi , thanks for sharing the video, can i use it for dental photography?

Get the first version of this one man, save money and have a mechanical shutter for long exposures and Astro :)

Im currently going for photography school is this a good option as a starter

Sony A6600 vs ZVE10 II for 70% photography and 30% videos. Which one would you suggest?
I’d go 6600 cause it sounds like you’re mostly photo. Some sales on it right now and if you’re ok with 8-bit video you’re gonna be just fine
Do you have any other recommendations in the price range? You've got me second guessing myself and am limited on budget from getting the 6700
You could grab this and the Sigma 18-50 2.8 and be set up imo!
What camera would you recommend for photography?
What's your budget? The ZVE10 Mark 1 is great if you don't need a viewfinder!
Hi matty its good for using hybrid for using wedding
Yes but be careful of indoor situations for photography. The electronic shutter under some lighting conditions is worrisome.
@@MattyDCCollins thanks man keep going🤍
And suggest any good budget hybrid camera for wedding videography and photography
HI Matt, what do you think are camera options that would be great for both photography and video? Really into both and I'm really confused 😥
If you're new to both grab the first version of the ZVE10 - it's even cheaper and better for photography!
What about IBIS 😢 ?
No IBIS and that kinda hurts for both photo and video! There is a digital stabilization though :)
How bad is the shutter roll on ZVE10ii@@MattyDCCollins
Matty can u suggest between sony zve10 mark 2 vs dji pocket 3 for video purpose ???????
haha of course! I'm releasing it next week :)
Which flash can use in this camera
Any flash you want but again the shutter speed while using with this camera would be limited.
Nice work. Would you say for a few $$ more would you choose the a6700?
If you're a photographer paying the extra $400 usd would be worth it yeah, if you're mostly video, this will do the trick on a budget!
