We have valentine's day in the uk. You know our modern valentines day is derived from st valentine who married christian cupples in secret because the roman emperor forbade it. He was put to death when he found out. He was given martyrdom much later because valentines day over lays a much older holiday of luppercalia a roman holiday given over to fertility and the comming of spring. This is a really short clip note version there is lots of history on this holiday. Its very interesting
