It's horses for courses Kevin. We have been coming to Turkey since the 90,s. We still holiday other places but Turkey is always where my heart is. Nice weather in the canaries in winter and we have been a few times but for us the people make our holiday and the turkish people are the friendliest out of everywhere. Too hot for us now in peak season but we were there last October and the temperature was perfect. If you come back to Turkey you need to stay longer than 3 days. So many beautiful resorts apart from Marmaris and icemeler. For us it's well worth the flight and transfer.

Definitely a drag when it comes to the travelling, night flights from Newcastle etc. But going back to Marmaris in 6 weeks and sooner come to Turkey than Spain to be honest, as much as I like places like Tenerife.
Had 10 nights in Turkey in June ,first time there. Was lucky enough to be allowed in a 4 bed villa for free based in Dalaman. Hired a car and visited Dalyan- Turtle Beach,Gocheck ,Olu Deniz and visited the Gorge. Flew with Freebird Airlines and flight times where not that bad. Turkey is a big plus for me and will be back.
Absolutely spot on mate I returned home last week from 10 day's at grand yatzi thermal hotel in Marmaras absolutely loved it your reviews and Vida are brilliant fair and truthful th flight time and transfer times are a killer but worth it Keep up the great work buddy stay safe out there

That's the killer Kevin, flight time and transfer, return flights to Scotland are usually night flights 🤔but personally I think it's worth it,the weather the people are great 👍

Excellent vlog Kevin, looks like something for everyone, families especially love Turkey, it's a very good option, I personally like to have good live entertainment for my beach holiday and obviously Tenerife (winter) and Benidorm around about late Sept or May is my preference, terrific, must add the Algarve as well, I've had so many lovely hols there, Greece also can be magical.

Hi Kevin, never been to Marmaris or Iscmelor, but have been going to Kalkan which is south of Dalaman for 20 years and really love it. The transfer is about 90 minutes but it's worth it when you get there. Keep up the good work mate Jim

I went to Marmaris about 8 years ago with my partner and our transfer took two and half hours, we even stopped off in some very sketchy roadside cafe and were pretty much forced to buy something from it as there was no other choice..then on the way back our plane decided it wasn't going to take off..8 hours later it did (no compensation either)..and it was the sketchiest plane journey I've ever been on....however...we really enjoyed our trip to Marmaris and our hotel was lovely but as you already say the transfers are the downside. You've been spot on with your review of Marmaris. Another consideration is the times. The likes of TUI & Jet2 have you arriving in late at night and departures are the same. DEFINITELY something to think about if you've young kids. For losing a day of your holiday think about at least 10 days duration

Went to florida when children was young that was a killer on a flight .dreading flight to turkey but got a good book to read it will be my first time my late mums been turkey she loved it

I've just got home from Marmaras I found the night life poor and I was searched 3 times going through dalaman airport fobbed my shoes and phone got back to Leeds airport and searched again it pissed me off to be fair
You are lucky, I once did Izmir to bodrum transfer 4hrs back in 1997.
And had something to eat at roadside cafe. Ended up had stomach cramps and a yolk like a chocolate donut until the resort.
That was murder

If you are into archeological sites. Ephesus is about as good as it gets, also the mausoleum of Halicarnassus in bodrum are both ancient wonders of the world. The later was destroyed by an. Earthquake tho

Great videos on Turkey Kev really enjoyed them,just back from Lara Beach only 20mins transfer,stayed in the Titanic Deluxe really good hotel 24hr food and drink all top brands enjoyed it that much we had been in June and decided too go back,more of a hotel complex holiday no need to venture out but we did do a fair bit of shopping,the 5star hotels in Spain don't give you the same value,already looking at booking for next year,my wife who had never wanted to go to Turkey now can't see past it

Turkey looks beautiful but could never do long flight plus long transfers!! Much prefer Spain and it’s far nicer anyways 😊
i will maybe stick to benidorm i go end october and its still shorts and teeshirt weather short flight quicker transfer and day time flights turkey most flights are middle of the night coming home

Me and my girlfriend do gran canaria in April marmaris in June then a big Caribbean holiday august then back to marmaris in September,turkey is our favorite holiday and even Better when you're flying out tomorrow afternoon 🤣

Love Turkey, but same as you flight times. Been around canaries, Balerics, love them all but for me, if it's paid for, hard to beat Salou/Barcelona. Up and down and in the pool 4 hours and not massively expensive.

I stayed at club excelsior apartments in 2011 height of the credit crunch. Then went for the day from Rodes in 2012 I have been that Ola denize and Lafetia are much nicer. I would like to visit places. One day

For world hols can't get much better than antalya all Inc. Similar to yugoslavia back in the day great people food. No wonder are people are keen to leave the uk.
Temperature in August can reach 50 degrees but it can still be high in May Kevin no the flights are long and transfers take forever but to me it's much better than Spain and lanzorte even though I like going there but turkey will i be last holiday next year medical insurance for husband is ridiculous annual 2 thousand 4 hundred pounds k❤❤❤

Tenerife would be my choice ,Turkey not for me long flight + transfer to much ,just not my vibe tbh . Prefer Greece + spain .
